"Then go ahead and kill me! Come on!" Takeda Dairo shouted at Jiang Chen, his voice filled with rage.
Jiang Chen's expression hardened as he reached out towards Takeda Dairo. Despite the distance of several meters between them, Takeda Dairo felt an overwhelming force pulling him forward, as if he were being drawn by an invisible string. His face changed as he tried to struggle, but it was futile.
Jiang Chen grasped Takeda Dairo by the throat, his gaze sharp and his expression dark as a bottomless abyss. Takeda Dairo looked at Jiang Chen in horror; the intensity of his face and eyes was terrifying. Suddenly, Takeda Dairo's vision blurred, and he found himself surrounded by countless afterimages. It felt as though he had fallen into a vibrant, dreamlike abyss filled with light and shadow. Within that abyss, numerous eyes were watching him, and he sensed that all his secrets were laid bare before them.
The sensation was surreal. Takeda Dairo felt disoriented, unsure of how much time had passed when the illusion abruptly vanished, pulling him back to reality where Jiang Chen's cold and indifferent face awaited him.
"It hurts!" Takeda Dairo exclaimed, feeling as if boiling water had been poured over his brain, causing a splitting headache.
"I already know where you hid the Kunlun Divine Mirror," Jiang Chen said with a light chuckle, casually tossing Takeda Dairo aside.
"Are you trying to scare me? How could you possibly know if I didn't tell you?" Takeda Dairo refused to believe it.
Jiang Chen looked up towards Kyoto. In the heart of the city, the night was illuminated by dazzling lights and towering skyscrapers. A few buildings stood out prominently; Jiang Chen pointed to one next to the Kyoto Skytree. Its lights shone bright red, with a beam of light shooting up into the sky, making it particularly conspicuous against the night backdrop.
"Takeda Clan Leader, if I’m not mistaken, the Kunlun Divine Mirror should be atop that building," Jiang Chen said with a smile.
Takeda Dairo's expression shifted dramatically as disbelief washed over him. "How do you know?" he stammered, feeling as if his world had turned upside down.
"I have my ways of finding out what I want to know, even if you don’t tell me," Jiang Chen replied playfully. This Takeda Dairo forced him to use the Mind Soul Search Technique over something as trivial as a Kunlun Divine Mirror. It was absurd how much value they placed on it; for these mortals, even possessing the Kunlun Divine Mirror was meaningless—it was merely an antique. Yet Takeda Dairo regarded it as more important than his own life; it was utterly foolish.
The Mind Soul Search Technique was a divine ability from the celestial realm that allowed one to invade an opponent's thoughts and steal their secrets using mental energy. However, it required immense mental strength and was taxing on the user. For Jiang Chen at his current level of cultivation, casting it once would be exhausting.
Jiang Chen had anticipated this visit would end peacefully with the Takeda Family willingly handing over the Kunlun Divine Mirror; after all, his capabilities had been witnessed by Takeda Kyoko and were enough to intimidate them. But Takeda Dairo, as Clan Leader, was too radical—he would rather die than relinquish the Kunlun Divine Mirror. So now there was no choice but to fulfill that wish.
Moreover, now that he had resorted to using the soul-searching technique, the Takeda Family held no value for Jiang Chen anymore.
"Alright, it’s time for this to end," Jiang Chen declared as heavy rain suddenly began to pour from the sky.
The faces of those from the Takeda Family changed drastically; Jiang Chen had just stated that when heavy rain fell, he would kill members of their clan.
Jiang Chen pulled out a Storage Jade Gourd from his pocket. With a flick of his finger and a thought in mind, the Sky Sword whistled into existence.
