In response, the Eastern Deity readily agreed, lifting the seal and heading to Huaxia. Indeed, back then, the Eastern Deity stirred up quite a storm in Huaxia Martial Arts. The various sects united against the Eastern Deity, who had entangled with them for many years. Ultimately, they managed to defeat the Eastern Deity. While the Eastern Deity managed to escape, the group of Onmyoji and Martial Arts Experts from the Island Nation that followed did not share its fortune; nearly all of them were slain in Huaxia. Yo Yinan had been following closely behind the Eastern Deity. After its defeat and escape, he reacted swiftly and fled. Although he was gravely injured, he managed to escape by a stroke of luck. However, due to his severe injuries, he succumbed shortly after being returned home. After Yo Yinan's death, his body was taken by the Eastern Deity, which used his lingering resentment to forge a Vengeful Spirit servant that would serve it.
After a century of cultivation, Yo Yinan's Vengeful Spirit grew increasingly powerful. With the help of the Eastern Deity, he reformed his body; however, this new form was merely a skeleton. To truly become a flesh-and-blood human again would require a lengthy process. The first step involved marrying a woman born at a time opposite to his own. The existence of a Vengeful Spirit defied the natural order—when one dies, their energy dissipates. By marrying a specific woman, he could harness her essence to deceive the heavens and circumvent cosmic laws.
However, that night proved unfortunate for Yo Yinan. He had finally found a suitable bride only to have his plans disrupted by Jiang Chen. Moreover, his newly reformed body was split in half by Jiang Chen's attack. Once again transformed into his Vengeful Spirit form, he twisted in the air, his black hole-like eyes glaring at Jiang Chen.
"Bastard! You dare destroy my body? I will kill you!" Yo Yinan shouted angrily. Although his form had long since become skeletal, he had preserved it well. He never expected that just as he had attached himself to his own body, it would be destroyed—how could he not be furious?
Takeda Kyoko quickly translated Yo Yinan's words for Jiang Chen. Upon hearing this, Jiang Chen waved his hand again; beams of azure light shot forth and shattered Yo Yinan's skeletal form into countless pieces—truly reduced to fragments that were nearly impossible to reassemble.
Yo Yinan was infuriated; his Sha Qi surged violently as he charged at Jiang Chen. In response, Jiang Chen casually formed a Spirit Fire seal with one hand in mid-air. Instantly, a flame erupted like a dragon and collided with the Sha Qi, which was immediately engulfed by the Spirit Fire and began to burn fiercely.
The Vengeful Spirit felt no pain but sensed life slipping away from him. Vengeful Spirits are afraid of light and fire; being consumed by Spirit Fire became unbearable for him very quickly.
"Spare me! Please extinguish the flames; I was wrong!" Yo Yinan wailed.
Seeing that Yo Yinan was about to be burned alive, Takeda Kyoko couldn't help but smile as she said, "You don't need to shout; Mr. Jiang is Huaxia People and doesn't understand our Island Language. If you want mercy, plead in Huaxia Language."
"Miss Takeda! Please help me convey my plea; I can't endure this any longer!" Yo Yinan begged desperately.
