Chapter 46: Divine Ruins
"Perhaps many stars will be destroyed in the Apocalyptic War. However, this particular star was birthed by Emperor Huang and is also my ancestral land. I must preserve its existence."
Lin Feng had made up his mind to extract what he needed from this star, but he would not disturb its rules.
"But what should I leave behind on this star to ensure that future generations remember my existence?"
In what way could he make himself memorable? Lin Feng pondered quietly. If he showcased his divine might, it might provoke chaos.
"Never mind that for now; living my own life is more important. My senior brothers are still anxiously waiting for my return."
Accompanied by Lin Miaomiao and Wind Spirit, Lin Feng went to Hong Kong to purchase engagement rings. In the end, he chose two one-carat diamonds, each priced at over a hundred thousand. He selected a ring for himself that cost thirty thousand.
"Lin Feng, is this some kind of magical artifact?" Lin Miaomiao asked as she examined the ring from various angles.
Lin Feng explained, "In our world, when getting married, one must buy a wedding ring. Only by wearing a wedding ring does it signify that one is married."
"Sir, here is your ring; please take care of it," the attendant said politely, observing Lin Feng with two beautiful women by his side, her eyes revealing a hint of curiosity.
Lin Feng paid her no mind and left with his two lovely wives.
"That guy just bought two one-carat diamond rings and walked out right after choosing them; he must be really wealthy."
"Those two women are definitely his lovers. He must be a rich second generation. Having money makes one reckless; spending over a hundred thousand on rings is like us carrying a few thousand in our hands."
After Lin Feng left, the attendants continued to gossip among themselves.
"Next comes the honeymoon. Where should we go? How about the Maldives?" Lin Feng asked.
"What is a honeymoon? And what is the Maldives?" Wind Spirit and Lin Miaomiao looked confused.
"Well... in our world, after getting married, couples travel to a beautiful place to enhance their relationship. That's what a honeymoon is," Lin Feng explained.
"Isn't getting married in your world too complicated? You have to buy wedding rings, wear wedding dresses, hold a wedding ceremony, and then go on a honeymoon," Wind Spirit remarked.
"I actually quite like it, hehe," Lin Miaomiao said with a smile, revealing her dimples.
"Oh right, I almost forgot one thing that needs to be done before the honeymoon: taking wedding photos," Lin Feng suddenly remembered.
"What are wedding photos?" Lin Miaomiao and Wind Spirit both looked puzzled. They thought they had learned a lot in these past few days, but now they realized there were still many unfamiliar things.
"Just follow me."
Lin Feng led them to a Wedding Photography Studio. They chose a package worth three hundred thousand. The Director Photography Team and Director Makeup Team would follow them, and they could select ten outfits for matching. In the end, there would be one thousand five hundred edited photos included. A large album totaling thirty books would be provided. The shooting period was one month, with locations available nationwide or even abroad for an additional fee.
Lin Feng decided to shoot domestically; as for going abroad, they could do that during the honeymoon.
After getting their makeup done, Lin Miaomiao and Wind Spirit looked stunning. They could easily outshine many celebrities without needing any retouching. Lin Feng stared at their transformed appearance in amazement, saying, "Indeed, you both are exceptionally beautiful—stunning enough to captivate a nation."
"Do I really look good?" Lin Miaomiao asked shyly.
Wind Spirit added, "There are many interesting things in your world. Just thinking about using certain products and liquids can make us look so different."
"Madam, our makeup director has arrived. In fact, we haven't applied much makeup at all. Both of them are completely natural. Our makeup team has worked with many top celebrities and wealthy ladies. With skin tones and looks like these two ladies, you won't find anyone else like them. Their skincare is impeccable—it's simply astonishing," the Boss of the Wedding Photography Studio praised sincerely.
"Thank you for the compliment, Boss," Lin Feng said with a smile, fully aware that his wife, despite not using any cosmetics, was far more beautiful than anyone could imagine. Their cultivation surpassed everything; how could their appearances be anything less than extraordinary? They were like celestial beings descended to earth.
Next, they headed to the wedding dress shooting location, where the Director Photography Team patiently guided Lin Feng and the two women in posing. It was their first time shooting three people; they usually only photographed couples.
"The groom steps forward with his left foot, hands in pockets, chest out, looking in the direction of my finger. The groom extends his arms to wrap around the bride's arm, leaning slightly closer, lifting his chin a bit, gazing affectionately at the bride..."
Lin Miaomiao and Wind Spirit were very interested in taking wedding photos, knowing these images would be preserved forever. They obediently followed the photographer's instructions.
"Who is this guy? Boldly marrying two wives without fear of being caught?"
"And both of these wives are stunningly beautiful; they look like fairies. Who exactly is this person?"
"Shh! He must be a low-level rich second generation. Otherwise, how could he marry at such a young age? And marrying two at once? He clearly disregards marriage laws. This guy is impressive; we can't mess with him."
During a break, the staff at the bridal shop couldn't help but chat.
Taking wedding photos required constant smiling. At first, Lin Miaomiao and Wind Spirit smiled naturally and beautifully, but after a few days, their smiles began to stiffen. They realized that taking wedding photos was much harder than they had anticipated.
A month later, the shoot concluded. The photos would take two months to process. Lin Feng planned to take his two wives on a honeymoon to the Maldives.
However, some mysterious figures appeared.
A group of seven people arrived, all middle-aged men dressed in Zhongshan suits. The leader was somewhat short and plump. He stepped forward and introduced himself: "I am Liu Hui, the captain of A Country's Security Guard team and one of the leading figures among the few cultivators known as Walkers in A Country."
Lin Feng scanned Liu Hui, surprised that A Country still had Walkers. Noticing Liu Hui's cultivation level only reached Master Realm and not even Legendary Realm while claiming to be a leader in the cultivation world made Lin Feng realize that their foundation was so low they couldn't see through Lin Feng and his wives' true cultivation levels; they only knew that Lin Feng and his companions were Walkers.
Seeing Lin Feng remain silent, Liu Hui continued: "Any Walker who reaches Fate Realization in A Country must have their information registered with our Security Guard. You three have been followed for quite some time now, yet you haven't registered with us. Who exactly are you? What brings you suddenly to A Country?"
Lin Feng suddenly became interested and asked, "How many Fate Realization Walkers does A Country have?"
Liu Hui couldn't determine Lin Feng's cultivation level and dared not act recklessly. He replied, "We have four hundred seventy-two Fate Realization Walkers, making us the country with the most Fate Realization Walkers in the world."
His implication was clear: if you dare to cause trouble in A Country, it would be tantamount to seeking death.
Lin Feng remained expressionless and asked again, "Do people in the world know about the existence of Walkers?"
"They do not. We, the Security Guard, have explicit regulations. Walkers exist solely for the purpose of achieving immortality or out of personal interest. If anyone disrupts the peace of the world through their cultivation, we will eliminate them at the first opportunity. You may have heard about earthquakes and other disasters occurring in some places; those are simply our Security Guard cleaning up the mess," Liu Hui said coldly.
"Oh, aren't you afraid of harming innocents?" Lin Feng inquired.
"That is unavoidable. Generally, earthquakes are caused by top-tier masters battling in the Master Realm. If we do not eliminate them, even more lives will be lost," Liu Hui explained.
"I didn't expect there to be so many Walkers here," Lin Feng said with a smile, finally finding clarity on his puzzling thoughts. He continued, "Gather all Fate Realization and above Walkers as quickly as possible; I have something to do."
"What exactly are you?" Liu Hui asked.
Lin Feng did not answer. He stepped into the Void and vanished before Liu Hui's eyes. He traversed through space and reappeared behind Liu Hui and the others.
"Spatial rules. You are... Sage Realm?" Liu Hui was left speechless in shock.
Lin Feng nodded. "I want to shoot a fantasy costume movie. You Walkers would be perfect for supporting roles."
"Yes, senior," Liu Hui immediately changed his tone, speaking respectfully. "Senior, may I ask where you learned your skills? Wudang Mountain or Shaolin Temple?"
"I am merely wandering through the universe. I saw this star was quite nice and brought my two wives down for a visit," Lin Feng replied.
Liu Hui was shocked, speechless for a long time. After a while, he asked, "Senior, do you really come from the Court? Does the Court truly exist?"
"Greetings, Immortal."
Liu Hui knelt down, and the people behind him followed suit.
Lin Feng waved his hand and said, "Alright, everyone get up. Go arrange the filming for me. I want to leave something behind on this star."
"Understood."
After Liu Hui left, he returned the next day with two elderly men, both in their fifties or sixties.
Liu Hui introduced them, "Immortal, these two are the National Military Commission Chairman and a national leader who wish to pay their respects."
In the past, it would have been unimaginable for these two to be in such a situation. However, times had changed. The two Supreme Leaders looked at Lin Feng with humble expressions.
"Immortal, is it true that you come from the Court?" the Chairman of the Military Commission asked cautiously.
Lin Feng replied, "This matter cannot be spoken of. What brings you two here?"
"We heard that the Immortal has descended to the mortal realm, and we came specifically to pay our respects," one of the Supreme Leaders said respectfully.
Lin Feng did not wish to engage with more people and issued an order for them to leave: "You've seen me; you may disperse now. I will only stay for a few days before departing from this star."
The highest leader of the country smiled and asked, "Immortal, I heard you want to make a movie?"
"Yes. I want to leave some memories behind," Lin Feng responded.
"Do you have a director in mind?" the Supreme Leader asked.
"Well... I have looked into it. I think Director Xu has remarkable talent and a vivid imagination. The things he creates are very unique. I'm planning to make a historical fantasy blockbuster, and he would be a great fit," Lin Feng replied.
The Supreme Leader said, "Director Xu is indeed a leading figure among our country's top directors. I'll contact someone right away; we should be able to finalize it in the next few days. What about the actors? Do you have any requirements? We can arrange for any first-tier stars domestically."
"This is a super action film, focused on the stunning effects. It will just be my wife and me as the actors. Then all the Walker performances will be coordinated accordingly. For specific details, I will discuss them with Director Xu. If supporting roles are needed, I will contact you then," Lin Feng said politely.
"Understood. May I ask, what is the title of this grand film?"
"It’s called 'Divine Ruins.' Now go prepare," Lin Feng replied. (To be continued...)
