After the Elder Council witnessed Zuo Dao's declaration of "Words Follow the Law," their attitude shifted dramatically, becoming exceedingly cooperative. Tai Shu Yi even suspected that they had begun to treat Spirit Sword Mountain as their own home. However, Ironblood Huai found himself isolated by the elders; he was simply too oblivious. Did he not see that Zuo Dao had brought them all to Spirit Sword Mountain for a mere promise?
What sanctions? What accusations? Once the Elder Council learned the reasons behind Spirit Sword Mountain's extensive acquisitions, the elders quickly relaxed their stance and even mobilized a significant amount of resources from their headquarters to Spirit Sword Mountain.
What Alchemist Leng Yi, Array Master Feng Xiangfeng, and Artificer Zha Muhe were all beneath Zuo Dao's notice. Especially Feng Xiangfeng, who was bustling around like a servant. It was clear to him that Zuo Dao had surpassed the master level in formations; only those who had reached the pinnacle could comprehend how terrifying the realm beyond mastery was, a realm close to immortality.
And wasn't immortality the ultimate goal of their cultivation?
Zuo Dao paid little mind to these matters, responding to every request. Even when Zhan Mubai approached him with questions about cultivation, he received answers that astonished everyone present, leading them to speculate about his realm. After several interactions and discussions, they finally reached a consensus: Zuo Dao was undoubtedly a cultivator above the Void Realm.
With this realization, the elders became even more eager. Who wouldn't want to advance further? Who wouldn't want a longer lifespan? All of these possibilities now rested on Zuo Dao. Countless resources and materials flowed continuously from various locations within the Earth Altar Star Domain to Spirit Sword Mountain. It had become a new center of power and trade.
Zuo Dao spent some more time at Spirit Sword Mountain during which he refined numerous pills and spiritual artifacts, all carefully controlled—none exceeding the ninth tier, while countless lower-tier pills were produced. Even so, the terrifying success rate in pill-making and exceptionally high artifact crafting rate left the elders in awe, further confirming their suspicions.
Huang Xishi found herself intensely curious about this young cultivator. Feng Miaomiao watched her master with some wariness and blurted out unexpectedly.
"Master, you better not try to compete with me!"
As soon as those words left her mouth, an awkward atmosphere enveloped both master and disciple.
"You little brat, how dare you speak to your master like that? Are you itching for a lesson? I won't compete with you; if I were to compete, it would be directly against that cultivator."
With that, Huang Xishi laughed heartily and left Feng Miaomiao dumbfounded.
After a moment, Feng Miaomiao snapped back to reality, twisting her waist and dashing out like the wind; she absolutely could not let her master succeed. Her first target was not Zuo Dao but Tai Shu Yun; only by teaming up with her could they thwart their master's ambitions.
When she found Tai Shu Yun, however, she received the worst news possible: Huang Xishi had already set off with Zuo Dao for the Outer Battlefield. Upon hearing this, Tai Shu Yun's heart sank.
Who was Huang Xishi? The first female cultivator of the Co-Governance Council and its most powerful cultivator—one of the few experts in the entire Earth Altar Star Domain. Coupled with her unparalleled charm and grace, any action she took against Zuo Dao could lead to unpredictable consequences.
The two women quickly decided to head for the Outer Battlefield in search of their husbands; no way could they allow an older woman to get ahead of them.
Their disappearance from Spirit Sword Mountain caused quite a stir. Once the Elder Council learned of it, they dispatched personnel to search for them. Eventually confirming that they had indeed gone to the Outer Battlefield infuriated Tai Shu Reincarnation.
However, with both women gone, there was nothing that could be done. The Elder Council also wanted to inform the grand elder on the battlefield about recent changes in the Star Domain. Thus, they formed a team with Spirit Sword Mountain and set off toward the Outer Battlefield. The primary objective of this team was to locate Tai Shu Yun and Feng Miaomiao; if anything happened to them, who knew what Zuo Dao might do?
Unbeknownst to Huang Xishi and Zuo Dao, who had already set off ahead of them, all of this was unfolding without their knowledge.
Huang Xishi was solely focused on how to deal with the young Cultivator as they traveled. However, her amazement grew with each passing moment.
The Outer Battlefield was still quite a distance from the Starry Land Star Domain. Aside from the Teleportation Array available within the Star Domain, the remaining journey required a large airship for transportation.
As a top-tier Cultivator of the Co-Governance Council, Huang Xishi naturally had her own means of transport. Moreover, those large airships were only mobilized during wartime.
When they arrived at the final stop in the Star Domain, an infinitely desolate planet, Huang Xishi summoned her airship—a clever Airship.
Rather than an Airship, it resembled a peculiar beast. Looking at this strange Airship before him, Zuo Dao cast a questioning glance at Huang Xishi.
Seeing this, Huang Xishi realized that Zuo Dao was unaware of its significance and began to explain.
"This is a Starry Beast known as the Star-Wandering Horned Beast. It usually roams through the starry skies and is famous for its speed and high defense. While it may not stand out much on land, it is exceptional in space. Even capturing an adult Star-Wandering Horned Beast like this took me several years."
Upon hearing this, Zuo Dao couldn't help but marvel at the wonders of creation. He felt a deep admiration for Huang Xishi's skills; spending years just to capture such a beast and then refining it into a puppet-like object was no small feat. Although Zuo Dao had crafted countless items recently, he had never delved into transforming beasts into tools.
As they entered the interior of the beast ship, a wave of fragrant aroma greeted them. Zuo Dao frowned slightly; given the circumstances, this was clearly Huang Xishi's "feminine quarters."
"What's wrong?" Huang Xishi asked upon noticing Zuo Dao's expression.
"Nothing, just a bit unaccustomed," Zuo Dao shrugged, indicating that all was well.
Huang Xishi let out a playful laugh.
"My dear, you wouldn't be a stranger to entering a woman's domain, would you?"
Zuo Dao thought for a moment and replied honestly.
"No."
Even at Zuo Wang Peak, he had been to his two senior sisters' rooms countless times, but those were true cultivation spaces and certainly did not resemble this place—delicately arranged with floral scents and draped curtains.
"How coincidental! My Starry Sky Vessel has never had a man enter before. You are my first guest," Huang Xishi said with a flirtatious glance that suggested more than words could convey.
Zuo Dao felt his mind momentarily dazed.
"What a temptress," he sighed inwardly as he stepped further into the vessel.
"Stop standing and sit down. We still have some time before we reach the battlefield, and the journey isn't exactly smooth," Huang Xishi said, fully embodying the demeanor of a host.
Zuo Dao glanced around. Although the interior was constructed from the hollowed-out remains of the Star-Wandering Horned Beast, it lacked any sense of flesh and blood. The walls had a somewhat wooden texture. An adult Star Beast, with its long, curved horns, measured about ten or so zhang in length, growing roughly a zhang each year as it matured.
When Zuo Dao was outside, he noticed that this particular Star Beast was approximately twenty zhang long. However, the internal space was much larger than that, indicating some use of spatial spells.
Inside the Starry Sky Vessel, aside from a few tables and a large bed, there was little else.
Huang Xishi had long noticed this detail. Typically, this vessel was for her sole use, occasionally shared with Feng Miaomiao. The presence of just one bed seemed insignificant at first glance, but now it felt somewhat ambiguous.
At that moment, Huang Xishi exuded an air of regal authority, elegantly reclining on the fragrant couch.
"Sit down. As cultivators, we are people who defy conventions; we need not concern ourselves with worldly norms."
Zuo Dao opened his mouth to refuse but was gently pulled by Huang Xishi's hand and found himself seated on the fragrant couch.
"Indeed, you are quite an intriguing person," she said with a captivating laugh that echoed in his ears.
