In the eyes of Zuo Dao, Miao San Xie was hardly considered a rival; however, the presence of the three individuals stirred a sense of ambition within him. The atmosphere in Miao Cheng felt unusually strange, primarily because he sensed that many things were subtly pointing towards him.
Perhaps those behind him were planning to strike, or maybe he had already touched upon their bottom line. Regardless, everything gave Zuo Dao an unsettling feeling.
At that moment, Zuo Dao suddenly felt a bit bored; there was no longer any need for War to continue. Although he was still a step away from becoming an Immortal, the gap between him and Yuan Tai was not significant, and the three evildoers posed no threat to him. The various powers within him had begun to merge; although this fusion was still in its early stages, it was the first time Zuo Dao had access to a power he could fully wield. With this alone, he could stand proudly over the Lower Twenty Domains.
To him, Immortal was nothing significant after witnessing the might of Blade God and the Sword Immortal. He clearly understood that compared to the Post-Courtyard Era and the Ancient Court Period, they were lacking in every aspect.
The battle ended swiftly, almost before anyone could react. Three corpses fell from the sky, taking not only three lives but also some hearts of those with ulterior motives.
Under Zuo Dao's overwhelming strength, the consolidation of Miao Cheng was completed quickly. Riding on the momentum of slaying the three evildoers, no one dared to obstruct Solemn Temple's advance; even those hidden Immortals did not dare to speak out. They considered themselves much stronger than Miao San Xie but knew they could not easily kill like Zuo Dao did.
Unifying Miao Cheng was merely Zuo Dao's first step in Miao Cheng. At this point, he realized that there were not many capable individuals under his command. Thus, while expanding his influence, Zuo Dao began to build his own power base using Solemn Temple's original personnel while also recruiting talent throughout Miao Cheng.
His only requirement was loyalty. As long as one's aptitude wasn't too poor and they were loyal enough, they would be welcomed into his ranks. In no time, Zuo Dao's power grew rapidly like a snowball.
After a period of recuperation, he soon turned his attention to Void Bright. Previously, Miao Cheng had acted according to Void Bright's whims, but now under Zuo Dao's era, Miao Cheng possessed the strength to sweep through Void Bright without hesitation—especially since Void Bright still had a hidden ace up its sleeve.
The rebellion at Xuming Hall caught all of Void Bright off guard, not to mention the reaction from Doushuai Palace. With Xuming Hall's cooperation, Zuo Dao swiftly took control of Void Alliance and used Void Bright as a springboard to directly seize Mysterious Brightness.
What pleased Zuo Dao most was encountering Tang Fengyue within Void Bright; however, he did not bring Heterodox under his command but allowed Heterodox to develop independently as one of his Hidden Ones.
Although anyone familiar could easily discern the relationship between Zuo Dao and Heterodox, after the chaos in Void Bright, everyone knew that Heterodox had evolved from Zhu Organization. Even if there were ties to Zuo Dao, it wouldn't be too significant.
Zuo Dao and Yan Zhen operated in tandem—one in light and one in shadow. They began a new round of consolidation across the three major Lower Domains: Void Bright, Miao Cheng, and Mysterious Brightness. While it was impossible to manage these Three Great Domains flawlessly, they were certainly not something ordinary people could overturn.
Most of the potential dangers in the Three Great Domains had been eliminated by the joint efforts of the two. For some ancient monsters that had not yet emerged, Zuo Dao even took the initiative to approach them, appealing to their emotions and reasoning with them; if that didn't work, he would simply take action directly.
With just Zuo Dao alone, he could dominate the Three Great Domains, especially with everyone gathered at this moment. Under the overwhelming strength of the two major forces, there was no longer a third voice in the Three Great Domains.
Consolidation was something Zuo Dao had to accomplish. The principle of using both a big stick and a carrot was applied throughout the Four Seas. Powerful Squads emerged from Zuo Dao's command, and the strength of Heterodox was now undeniable. Yan Zhen and a large group of Zuo Dao's original team were almost all at the Golden Immortal level.
They were inherently talented individuals, and their power had significantly increased within the Thirty-Three Chambers; it would not be an exaggeration to say they were like dragons entering the sea. Although they were still some distance from becoming Immortals, Zuo Dao could see that each one had the capability to fight above their level. After all, these individuals were born talents, and moreover, Zuo Dao provided them with top-tier Cultivation Methods that were rare even in ancient times.
After a period of accumulation, the power in Zuo Dao's hands grew larger and larger, and finally, he extended his hand of expansion toward the neighboring domains.
With experience from conquering Void Bright and Mysterious Brightness, he adopted the most prudent tactics when attacking Guanming, Extreme Yao, and Kong Sheng within the Three Great Domains. He first seized control of the Teleportation Arrays connecting these three domains. This choice served two purposes: to block information from leaking to the outside world and to minimize his own losses.
Under Zuo Dao's encroachment, Yueheng, Misty Veil, Crimson Bright, Brilliant Light, Zhuluo, An Emperor, Xian Ding, Filial Radiance, Weng Chong, Wusi, and Ruan Le fell one after another. By the time Tanshi, Yuan Tong, and Mojin in the center of the two domains realized what was happening in the Three Great Domains, it was already too late.
Faced with a powerful army of Cultivators, the last three domains of Lower Domain also fell. Thus, all twenty domains of Lower Domain were completely under Zuo Dao's control.
In just One Hundred Years, Zuo Dao unified these twenty domains with his formidable strength; he was the only one to achieve this since the Ancient Court shattered.
The battles over One Hundred Years allowed Zuo Dao and his companions to grow continuously. After another period of recuperation, Zuo Dao set his sights on the Middle Ten Domains.
However, it was no longer possible to conceal Zuo Dao's unification of Lower Twenty Domains; movements began in Middle Ten Domains as well. Although they looked down on Lower Twenty Domains, when those twenty domains truly united under one banner, that power could not be ignored by anyone.
The operations in Middle Ten Domains would undoubtedly be challenging. Zuo Dao calculated every step meticulously; besides conquering Middle Ten Domains, he also aimed to minimize his own losses.
This was an unprecedented Battle. The counterattack from Middle Ten Domains drew attention as several normally disunited major domains banded together to thwart Zuo Dao's advance. At the same time, countless Cultivators remembered Zuo Dao's name along with Yan Zhen—the Killer God.
If Zuo Dao could be considered a graceful gentleman on the battlefield, then Yan Zhen was undoubtedly a Killer God that struck fear into the hearts of all. If one were to block Zuo Dao's path, there might still be room for negotiation; however, encountering Yan Zhen meant either a fierce fight to the death or retreat. A fight with Yan Zhen was truly a fight to the death, as everything in his path would turn to ashes at the point of his sword.
The sheer lethality of Yan Zhen made Zuo Dao take notice, but he understood his senior brother well enough to know that Yan Zhen was protecting those around him in his own way.
The battles in the Middle Ten Domains were extremely arduous. Unlike the Lower Twenty Domains, the Middle Ten Domains were entirely open. Aside from being separated from the Upper Lower Domain, travel between the ten domains was quite convenient, which rendered Zuo Dao's strategies from the Lower Domain ineffective.
Moreover, due to the close-knit nature of the ten domains, they supported each other. The combat power of the Central Domain was also different from that of the Lower Domain, with main forces reaching the Golden Immortal Realm. Squads composed of Golden Immortal Realm cultivators were numerous. Although Zuo Dao had anticipated this situation, due to his own environment, his squad's combat power was slightly inferior to that of the Central Domain. Fortunately, there were more people from the Lower Domain than from the Central Domain, and Zuo Dao's squad also outnumbered that of the Central Domain. More importantly, the hearts of those in the Middle Ten Domains were not united, which provided Zuo Dao with opportunities.
Despite the hardships, under the cooperation between Zuo Dao and Yan Zhen, they managed to conquer five major domains: Huang Zeng, Mingyu, Clarity, Xuan Tai, and Yuanming. Afterward, both sides fell into a standoff.
Zuo Dao's growing power made the remaining five domains feel threatened; however, after conquering these five domains, he did not rush forward but instead focused on consolidating his newly acquired territory. This intensified the pressure on Seven Luminaries, Changrong, Yulong, Dragon Fan, and Pingyu. Everyone knew that once Zuo Dao fully digested his conquests, they would face catastrophic disaster.
Yet they lacked the courage to confront Zuo Dao with just the strength of five major domains. With a foundation already established in the Lower Twenty Domains and now bolstered by five additional domains, Zuo Dao had begun to exude an aura akin to that of a sovereign.
Another reason Seven Luminaries, Changrong, Yulong, Dragon Fan, and Pingyu could not settle down was due to the reaction from the Upper Three Domains.
Sixty years had passed since the conflict began; matters concerning the Middle and Lower Thirty Domains had become quite tumultuous. Their pleas for help had gone unanswered for so long that it only heightened their anxiety. One reason for Zuo Dao's pause was indeed due to the lack of response from the Upper Three Domains; their silence posed a significant dilemma for him as well. He was certainly aware of the remaining five domains' calls for assistance.
Once Zuo Dao's power grew significantly, his first order of business was to thoroughly improve his intelligence system—this was one reason he managed to conquer five major Central Domains within sixty years.
If it weren't for the considerable distance separating them and the high cost required to reach them, he would have wanted to extend his influence into the Upper Three Domains.
At this moment, however, the Upper Three Domains were observing the movements of the Lower Thirty Domains as outsiders. To them, Zuo Dao's series of actions appeared nothing short of astonishing.
Although Zuo Dao did not display overwhelming strength outwardly, every strike he made was decisive and efficient. Over more than a century of battle had deepened his understanding of Tao and refined his Chaos Formula even further. Supreme Clarity True Method: Sword Out., Supreme Clarity, and Jade Clarity grew increasingly intrigued by this younger brother whom they had never met before.
Long before Zuo Dao's breakthrough, several squads from the Upper Three Domains had already infiltrated the Central Domain, remaining hidden while observing him in the shadows. Zuo Dao sensed this presence, but these individuals concealed themselves deeply and showed no signs of hostility; at times, they even assisted Zuo Dao's side in resolving certain issues.
Regardless of their intentions, as long as they did not interfere with him, Zuo Dao chose to ignore them for the time being.
Once the real battle began, Seven Luminaries, Changrong, Yulong, Dragon Fan, and Pingyu seemed to have lost all hope. For reasons unknown, they fought with a sense of inevitable death, inflicting some damage on Zuo Dao's forces. However, the losses remained within Zuo Dao's capacity to bear.
What truly enraged Zuo Dao and Yan Zhen was the death of the Lu Family during the assault on Changrong. This incident triggered a massacre.
Both Zuo Dao's Solemn Temple and Yan Zhen's Heterodox were filled with fury. Zuo Dao unleashed his ultimate weapon, sparing no expense to bolster his forces, upgrading everything from equipment to Cultivation Methods in order to annihilate the remaining major domains.
The loss of the Lu Family pained Zuo Dao deeply; he had not anticipated that an Immortal squad would target them for assassination. Although both sides employed every means available in battle, Zuo Dao maintained his bottom line.
When the Celestial Squad suddenly appeared before the Lu Family, they realized that things had taken a turn for the worse. If Tang Fengyue had not been present, if Fire Rush and Yao Ming had not been there, he might have chosen to retreat without fighting, at least ensuring his own survival.
However, to protect these individuals, he led his squad into battle at the cost of their lives, carving out a path for them through sheer determination. As each squad charged toward the Celestial Squad with a resolve to die for their cause, even these Immortals were taken aback by the scene before them.
Even though Tang Fengyue and others escaped with their lives, they were severely injured and had sustained damage to their foundational cultivation. Without a hundred years of recuperation, recovery was impossible.
Under the wrath of Zuo Dao and Yan Zhen, the remaining major domains were nearly eradicated from existence. All hostile forces that participated in the battles were ruthlessly eliminated by Yan Zhen through bloody means.
The final battle in the Central Domain unfolded in Pingyu. At this point, neither side had any chance of retreat; the only outcome was either death or destruction.
This battle plunged all of Pingyu into a sea of blood. When Zuo Dao finally regained his senses from his fury, he realized that a grave situation had arisen. The demonic chaos that should have erupted in the Lower Domain instead broke out in Pingyu due to the fall of the Lu Family.
The Demon Clan had endured for hundreds of thousands of years and finally found an opportunity to break through spatial barriers using Pingyu's overwhelming bloodlust and vengeful spirits.
The situation took a sharp turn, but fortunately, the battle between the Human Clan had already reached its conclusion, and Zuo Dao's control over the Thirty Domains was quite strong. In this sudden crisis, their response was much better than the previous chaotic skirmishes across the domains.
At the same time, Zuo Dao had fully integrated his powers and stepped into the realm of Immortals, becoming one of the top figures among them.
The invasion of the Demon Clan prompted action from the upper three as well. The survival of the human race was at stake, so every Cultivator fought with all their might. Unfortunately, the demon army was too vast, creating a suppressive force against the humans. Supreme Clarity True Method: Sword Out, Supreme Clarity, and Jade Clarity made several attempts to intervene but were repeatedly blocked by the enemy's top figures.
If it weren't for Zuo Dao's deep understanding of the Demon Clan, the losses on the human side would have been even greater. Recognizing this, Supreme Clarity True Method: Sword Out, Supreme Clarity, and Jade Clarity decided to unify their powers under Zuo Dao's command.
With the support of the upper three, Zuo Dao quickly gained ground in the war. However, due to the sheer number of Demon Clan members, their gains were not substantial. Nevertheless, it allowed the human race to withstand the initial wave of attacks from the Demon Clan.
Had they been defeated in that first wave, the consequences would have been unimaginable; fortunately, Zuo Dao was there to take charge.
In a critical moment, the God Clan also descended. The momentum of the Demon Clan was so overwhelming that even those in another world felt its presence.
This was a battle that mirrored an ancient conflict, with chaos erupting all around. The arrival of the God Clan brought relief to Zuo Dao and his companions. The sudden turn of events had caught them off guard, leading them into a predicament due to insufficient preparation. With a brief respite, Zuo Dao quickly altered their battle strategy and equipped all combat personnel on his side with new gear.
Not only did he prepare against the Demon Clan, but he also took precautions against potential threats from the God Realm. Indeed, as the war progressed into its mid-stages, the God Realm tore off its hypocritical mask and turned its aggression towards humanity.
At this stage, all sides maintained a certain level of tacit understanding; however, with a significant decline in Demon Clan power and a balance established among factions, it was ironically the God Realm that emerged as the strongest force due to their late intervention.
During one particular war, the God Realm set a trap that ensnared Yan Zhen and his group. This included Sitting Forgetting Five, Seven Unruly Disciples, and four members from Nine Flows Generation—almost half of Zuo Dao's elite forces were caught in this ambush.
Upon hearing this news, Zuo Dao rushed to their rescue but discovered that the God Realm had struck an agreement with the Demon Clan to conspire against high-ranking members of humanity. This battle was truly catastrophic; at least six domains were utterly destroyed in its wake.
The Five Companions suffered severe injuries; two members of Seven Unruly Disciples fell in battle while four remained heavily burdened; nearly half of Nine Flows Generation perished; and Heterodox's main squad faced near-total annihilation.
In this battle, Zuo Dao went completely berserk, single-handedly fighting against twenty-three opponents and killing his way beyond thirty. At the cost of losing an arm, Zuo Dao annihilated the enemy forces. However, he also became a shadow of his former self. Just then, hidden reinforcements from the divine realm suddenly emerged. In this moment of peril, Huang Xishi and Feng Miaomiao awakened. Upon seeing Zuo Dao's dire state, they unleashed the flames of destruction, scorching the heavens and shattering time and space.
Under the wrathful fire of the Two Women, the three races of gods, demons, and monsters suffered heavy losses. Meanwhile, the Three Pure Ones led the remaining human cultivators in a counterattack. Yan Zhen charged into the divine realm with unmatched might, sweeping away everything in his path.
As the battle among the four races reached its climax, the ultimate figure was finally revealed. It turned out that Zuo Dao's emergence was entirely orchestrated by the master of the Three Pure Ones, who was also Zuo Dao's master—the Sage of Worldly Virtue.
He had long predicted that humanity would face a Cataclysm and that those destined to endure it would be individuals from three lifetimes. In a twist of fate, Zuo Dao was chosen. At the same time, several other prominent human figures acted against the Cataclysm, which ultimately shaped Zuo Dao's destiny.
The appearance of the Supreme Sage similarly drew out their counterparts among gods, demons, and monsters. After a fierce battle, all sides suffered losses. However, humanity bore the brunt of these losses simply because the battleground was their territory. Although humanity's Supreme Sage felt helpless, he had no choice but to engage in battle; otherwise, it would mean annihilation.
After sustaining severe injuries, Zuo Dao's cultivation unexpectedly advanced. The arrival of the Supreme Sage provided him with an opportunity to recuperate. Seizing this chance, he broke free from earthly constraints and became a Supreme Sage after countless eons.
With the aid of the Two Women's flames, Zuo Dao reforged several devastated domains and ultimately set up a deadly formation that ruthlessly exterminated all invading foes.
Following the battle, the court entered a phase of reconstruction. With Zuo Dao's immense popularity, not only was the court rebuilt, but he also broke through spatial barriers to connect various human domains. Humanity entered a brand new stage of development.
Having achieved success and withdrawn from his role, Zuo Dao passed on the title of court master to Tang Fengyue. He then traveled through the world with his beloved, simultaneously searching for a way back home.
