Daphne is still waiting in the room with an empty stomach for Lucia to bring the nutrient solution back, but she ends up receiving William's reply in the meantime.
She is somewhat surprised as she holds a small cup of nutrient solution and opens the reply letter, only to be greeted by a pile of extremely gorgeous words, all used to describe her.
"......" Daphne blushed and read the statement above carefully, and then carefully read the love poem twice.
She felt something was not quite right, blushing, she pressed the reply letter with her finger. Suddenly, she felt that the thickness of the paper was not quite right, so she lifted the post and shook it, and a rose fell out from somewhere.
Daphne was startled and picked up the bright and tender rose that had fallen on her leg, asking Lucia in surprise, "How did this fall out?!"
Lucia saw such a big rose and her face turned pale. She stammered, "Um, this, probably the magic of William family head."
"I'm going to die, I can't possibly tell the young lady it's because of magic?!" magic
Daphne didn't think much, she looked at the rose, her face getting so hot that she felt like she was about to steam herself.
The agreed time is in three days.
On the third day, Daphne had Lucia pick out a decent dress for her, then went to a secluded pavilion in the garden.
Jeffrey was arranged by Louis to enter through a side door of the Vandura Family in a carriage, without alarming too many people.
Lucia prepared tea and refreshments on the table, along with fresh flowers, and then waited outside the door to inform Daphne whether William was coming.
Daphne sat on a stool, feeling somewhat awkward as she nervously clasped her hands, looking at the colorful flowers in the middle of the table. Her mind was in turmoil, feeling that what she was doing now was somehow betraying her brother.
Lost in thought, Jeffrey's figure has already appeared downstairs.
"Lord William," Lucia greeted the approaching Jeffrey with a bow and said, "The young lady is waiting for you inside."
Jeffrey nodded, straightened his tie, adjusted his shirt sleeves, and then politely knocked on the white door.
"Come in."
Daphne turned her head and gently spoke towards the door.
Jeffrey slowly pushed open the door and looked up, meeting Daphne's gaze.
Her light purple eyes looked as if they had been washed by spring water under the moonlight, gazing at him tenderly with a delicate pink on her fair face.
Sitting in her seat, she still had an incredibly charming figure, with her two fair wrists loosely resting on her legs, showing a slight hint of restraint. The blue dress made her look very cute.
The golden hair was shining in the moonlight, dazzling like the sun.
Jeffrey came to his senses, realizing his rudeness, lowered his eyes, and sat down across from her.
"Hello, Miss Daphne," he spoke, politely asking, "Long time no see, I hope you've been well lately?"
Daphne quietly took out the social notebook Whites gave her from the hidden pocket of her skirt, lowered her face pretending to be embarrassed, and actually flipped through it underneath, saying, "Ah... I've been doing okay lately, how about you?"
Jeffrey looked at her deeply and said in a low voice, "I'm not doing very well."
Daphne lifted her head to look at him, feeling a bit at a loss, "...What's troubling you?"
It seems like there's no mention of how to deal with this in the book.
Jeffrey raised his teacup, took a sip, and sighed, "This tea is very fragrant, but I can't enjoy this kind of beauty every day."
"Is that so?" Daphne controlled her urge to tilt her head and smiled as she said to him, "How about I give you a few packs then?"
Jeffrey squinted at her for a moment, feeling that he should perhaps be more explicit like reply.
He slowly stood up, pulled a pink rose from the vase on the table, and walked slowly to stand in front of Daphne, squatting down to meet her gaze.
As Daphne watched him approach, her heart pounded, suppressing the urge to run away, and she tried to sit calmly in her place.
"Mr. William?"
Jeffrey slowly removed the thorns from the rose stem and then lifted the flower, gently placing it behind Daphne's left ear.
He parted her hair with his fingers, revealing half of her face.
He gazed deeply into her eyes and asked, "I wonder, Miss Daphne, would you be willing to accept my pursuit?"
