As these words left her lips, the faces of those from the Ling Family changed dramatically.

Yun Qingyu sneered, "Shen Yan? General Ling should be the one teaching his family to be cautious with their words."
She pointed at Ling Jing and said, "Do you know what he just said? He claimed that conquering a woman like me would be a challenge, and that I should become his captive, transforming from the lofty Eldest Princess into a lowly maid."
As Yun Qingyu spoke each word, Ling Ancheng's face turned pale, and he was secretly alarmed: this was treasonous, a crime punishable by death. He hurriedly said, "Princess Consort, please do not speak such slander. Jing'er would never dare to."
Yun Qingyu turned coldly to Ling Ancheng's legitimate son, Ling Yan, and said, "You tell your father whether I am speaking slander."
Ling Yan met Yun Qingyu's gaze and stammered, unable to find any words of defense; no one knows a son better than his father.

He immediately knelt down to plead for forgiveness, saying, "I have failed in my duty as a father. Please be magnanimous, Princess Consort."

Ling Jing had wanted the Violent Princess Yun Qingyu to be his maid but ended up becoming her attendant instead.
The other members of the Ling Family quickly knelt down in panic; the sudden turn of events left them flustered.
Ling Jing also realized the severity of the situation and quickly begged for forgiveness: "Princess Consort, please forgive me.
