The Eldest Princess lay unconscious from poison in Duke Xuan's Mansion.
When the news reached the Emperor, he was furious and summoned Yun Xuanyi, declaring, "Mobilize the Imperial Guards within the capital to surround Duke Xuan's Mansion. "His Majesty has arrived!" Chen Hai announced loudly.
The crying abruptly ceased. The Emperor saw that the young man in red was tightly holding Yun Qingyu's hand, his eyes swollen from tears, looking as if he would follow her into death. He turned to bow towards the Emperor, saying, "Greetings, Your Majesty."
Xin Yao also knelt down and naturally reached out to pull back the Princess's hand from Hong Yu's grasp.
Hong Yu sighed inwardly: Xin Yao was truly a major obstacle on the path to winning affection; he spent every day with the Princess and could hold her close while I could barely hold her hand.
The Emperor's heart ached as he approached, looking at Yun Qingyu lying on the bed, her complexion pale and haggard, with traces of dark blood still lingering at the corners of her mouth. He urgently asked, "How is Qingyu?"
Yun Lingchuan stepped forward and cupped his hands in response, "Your Highness has escaped danger, but there is still some residual poison in your body."

Seeing his daughter endure such suffering without complaint while comforting him was difficult for the Emperor to bear. After a moment of silence, he said, "You must rest well for the next few days. After a pause, he asked, "Qingyu, did you notice anything unusual before this happened?"
Yun Qingyu thought for a moment and replied, "I didn’t eat any fruits, but Hong Yu and Xin Yao did. They didn’t get poisoned. I only drank tea, so the poison must have been in the tea."
Hong Yu spoke up with a hint of sobbing and fear in her voice, "But other Noble Ladies also drank the tea; why are they all fine? Is there something wrong with that teacup?"
