This is the true form of the Eastern Deity, its entire body composed of Sha Qi, having absorbed countless malevolent thoughts from people, making it look grotesque and hideous.
Du Guanghua, Xu Zhuzhu, and the others, upon seeing the true face of the Eastern Deity, were so frightened that they collapsed to the ground. It was a demon from hell, more terrifying than any devil seen on television.
"What are we going to do?!" Du Guanghua trembled, his mind a chaotic mess. Xu Zhuzhu and Qian Xinyi were so scared that they couldn't utter a word, clinging to each other in sheer panic.
Jiang Chen stood in the air, gazing at the Eastern Deity with a smile. "You are strong; indeed, there are few rivals on Earth. But unfortunately for you, today you face me."
"Heh, do you really think you can defeat me just because you have an extraordinary sword?" The Eastern Deity sneered, black mist spewing from its mouth.
"To kill you, I don't need a sword." Jiang Chen put away the Sky Sword into his Storage Jade Gourd.
The Eastern Deity paused, surprised that Jiang Chen had actually sheathed his sword. However, it felt relieved; in its view, Jiang Chen's strength relied entirely on that extraordinary sword. Without it, Jiang Chen was like a soldier without a gun—hardly a threat.
"What arrogant words! This time, I will definitely kill you," the Eastern Deity coldly laughed.
Jiang Chen smiled lightly, unfazed. "Don't forget, this is my territory. The entire Mount Buddha is under my control. Even gods must bow before me here. Today, I will show you what true divine power looks like."
The Eastern Deity's voice boomed like thunder in the valley. "Roar!" Suddenly, it let out a roar towards the sky, an immense force erupting from its body, stirring up violent winds. The ground trembled, birds took flight in panic, rocks tumbled down, and trees swayed. On Mount Buddha's peak, tourists struggled to maintain their balance as they swayed unsteadily.
A group of people quickly clung to large trees or stones for support.
Amidst the mountains of Mount Buddha, yellow mist began to rise—this was the Earthly Fiendish Aura hidden underground. The aura surged upward and soon enveloped the entire Mount Buddha in yellow fog that obscured the sky.
"This is the Earthly Fiendish Barrier; trapped within it, you can only await your demise," the Eastern Deity sneered. Within the yellow mist, a whirlwind suddenly formed around Jiang Chen. The powerful yellow whirlwind lifted debris and even large trees into the air; any ordinary person caught within would have been shredded to pieces by the slicing winds.
Yet around Jiang Chen's body was a thin layer of Spiritual Energy forming a protective shield against the onslaught of the whirlwind.
"Die!" Suddenly, with a furious shout from the Eastern Deity, the whirlwind contracted. From above, one could see that the yellow Earthly Fiendish Aura on Mount Buddha had formed a massive vortex.
Tourists squinted their eyes in shock and disbelief.
As the whirlwind shrank further, light began to radiate from Jiang Chen's lowered palm. His spiritual energy gathered in his hands and as the whirlwind approached him, he reached out directly and tore open a gap in it as if ripping through fabric before effortlessly stepping out of its center.
"This... how is this possible?" The Eastern Deity's face twisted in shock and disbelief at this scene. Jiang Chen had managed to break through its Earthly Fiend Whirlwind using nothing but his hands.
