I looked at my hands in confusion and said, "I don't even know how to awaken my Void Spirit. What good is it to be powerful if I can't do that?" 0

Sheng Dan tore a piece of cloth from her clothing and tightly wrapped it around her wound to stop the bleeding. After hearing me, she grabbed my hand, rolled up my sleeve, and revealed the mark on my hand. "Most people would need several months to awaken their Void Spirit, but with this, you can do it right now." 0

"All you need to do is..." Just as she was about to explain how to awaken it, an invisible force lifted her into the air. Li Zhisheng and I stood there in shock. Meanwhile, Hu Fang remained seated with her eyes tightly shut, her appearance slowly recovering. 0

Sheng Dan struggled in the air, as if trying desperately to break free, but the force holding her was far too strong. No matter how much she fought, she couldn't escape. I couldn't even see what was grabbing her, and I felt helpless, stamping my feet in frustration. 0

Suddenly, I remembered that Li Zhisheng had read many books on this subject; he should have some ideas. I hurriedly asked, "Haven't you read a lot about this? What should we do?! Is there a book that mentions this situation?!" 0

Li Zhisheng quickly put away his surprise at my question. "I know what a Yao is. For example, Wu Zixu from the late Spring and Autumn period was the national ghost of the State of Wu, also known as Yao..." 0

I stamped my feet anxiously. "What does that have to do with me right now?! I don't care who he is; the key is how to save her! Do you have any way to help her?!" 0

Li Zhisheng looked at Sheng Dan struggling in mid-air and shook his head. "To save her, we need to know what is holding her captive. Right now, we don't even know what happened; how can we save her?! She saved me after all; I'm just as anxious as you are!" 0

"Ah!" I sighed heavily and began pacing back and forth. At that moment, I felt something under my foot. Looking down closely, I realized it was Jiang Ling—the sword that had fallen when Sheng Dan grabbed it in panic. 0

I quickly picked it up and held it in my hand. The sword felt incredibly light; I could barely feel its weight. I shouted to Sheng Dan, "Catch the sword!" and threw Jiang Ling toward her. 0

To my surprise, before the sword could reach her, it was intercepted by that invisible force mid-air with a whoosh, flying past my ear and embedding itself into the wall beside me, causing me to break out in a cold sweat. 0

Just when I felt helpless, I heard Sheng Dan's voice from afar calling out to me. "Shen Xu! Listen carefully; the only way now is to awaken the Void Spirit. Otherwise, none of us will survive!" 0

I shouted back helplessly, "But how do we awaken it?!" "When Yin becomes Yang, on the day of Earth. Above and below. Seek death through life; seek life through death!" As she recited this passage to me, something clicked in my mind. "That's right! Didn't the Death Apostle say something similar to me before?!" 0

I muttered to myself just as Sheng Dan let out a piercing scream from above due to pain. Without thinking further, I quickly turned and pulled out the sword before rushing towards Sheng Dan. As I ran while swinging the sword in my hand, just a few steps outside the door, a gust of wind hit me hard—a powerful force pushed me back. 0

At that moment, Hu Fang had just lifted the curse off herself and saw me flying back towards her. She tried to catch me but due to the momentum being too strong—even though she managed to cushion some of my fall—she still crashed into a chair behind us with a loud bang, and we both fell to the ground. 0

Li Zhisheng rushed over to help us up and asked, "Are you okay? Did you get hurt?" Ignoring him and not caring about any pain, I picked up the sword that had fallen beside us and steadied myself before charging out again. But as expected, this time I slammed directly into the wall; instantly my throat felt sweet as I spat out a mouthful of blood. 0

Sheng Dan looked at me and shouted, "This won't work! If you can't awaken the Void Spirit, then you should escape! Don't throw your lives away for nothing..." It seemed she hadn't finished speaking when a deafening scream echoed through the air. 0

Suddenly, her arm was lifted by an invisible force, and it was brutally torn off and thrown into the air. Sheng Dan screamed in despair, while I could only watch helplessly as she was tormented. 0

At that critical moment, Li Zhisheng seemed to understand something, and a killing intent surged in his eyes. He snatched the Crimson Spirit Sword from my hands and without hesitation plunged it into my chest. I widened my eyes, staring at him as he trembled while gripping the sword, as if even he was questioning his own actions. 0

This scene was witnessed by Hu Fang. "What are you doing!" she shouted, using all her strength to rush over and knock the trembling Li Zhisheng to the ground. 0

In that instant when Li Zhisheng fell, time around us seemed to freeze. Hu Fang remained in her collision stance, while Li Zhisheng sat on the ground motionless; even Sheng Dan in the distance had stopped struggling. 0

I looked at the blade embedded in my chest but felt no pain at all. "Am I dead?" I muttered to myself. Suddenly, a ethereal voice echoed in my mind, "You are still alive; you are merely at the intersection of the realms of Yin and Yang." 0

"The intersection of Yin and Yang? Is it the Underworld Gate?" As this thought crossed my mind, I hurriedly looked down, and indeed, beneath my feet appeared a moon and starry sky. Just as I was about to ask who was speaking, the voice continued as if it could read all my thoughts. "You are indeed within the Underworld Gate right now, but who I am is not important; what matters is that I can help you seal this Onizuka; otherwise, you will all die here." 0

I quickly pressed for more information: "If that's the case, you must have conditions, right?" The voice chuckled softly, "Conditions? You waking me up is thanks enough; what more could I want?" 0

As soon as those words fell, I felt my body starting to lose control. I reached out one hand to tightly grasp Jiang Ling at my chest and then exerted force outward, yanking the sword out with a sudden motion. Blood gushed from my chest, and time resumed its normal flow. Hu Fang fell to the ground due to the momentum of her collision. 0

Holding Jiang Ling in one hand, my body felt like it was being burned by flames; yet I couldn't move an inch. Meanwhile, the mark on my hand began to grow rapidly. 0

At that moment, I clearly saw that it was a towering Evil Spirit—about eight or nine meters tall—that had lifted Sheng Dan into the air. Its eyes were devoid of pupils; two eyeballs were sewn onto its forehead with some unknown material. It grinned with a mouth full of maggots, laughing maniacally as if it were having great fun. One hand gripped Sheng Dan while the other kept fiddling with her head. 0

At this point, Hu Fang and Li Zhisheng looked at me as if they had seen a Vengeful Spirit and retreated to a distance. I didn't even recognize what I had become; I felt unable to control my actions yet could still see everything happening before me. 0

Before long, the giant spirit seemed to grow bored; it pressed down on Sheng Dan's head with a single finger and then suddenly exerted force, crushing her entire body into a pulp. 0

At that moment, my heart nearly shattered. I desperately wanted to save her but found myself unable to command my own actions—like being trapped inside a wax figure. But just as my anger broke through reason, I found that I could control myself again. 0

I gripped Jiang Ling tightly with one hand while shifting my right leg back slightly. Then I sank down and suddenly pushed off with my hind leg, propelling myself into the air. 0

The spirit seemed to notice me and reached out its massive decaying hand in an attempt to grab me. In mid-air, I dodged to the side while bringing my right hand down toward its wrist. Instantly, a strand of black sword energy erupted from the blade of my sword, slicing its wrist cleanly in half. 0

Using the momentum from falling through the air, I raised Jiang Ling above my head and brought it down with force along with its entire arm. Seeing it encounter a formidable opponent, the spirit screeched and rapidly grew another arm. Just before I landed, it swung its newly formed hand down at me with great force. 0

But at that moment, fear had long since left my heart. I hurriedly raised my sword above my head, bracing myself to block the giant hand. Just as I landed, a loud bang echoed around me, and dust and debris erupted into the air. 0

The creature believed to be a hand laughed grotesquely at the night sky. Beneath its palm, I could hear its nauseating laughter, which made me involuntarily curl my lips into a smirk. I then reversed the blade of my sword and swung it upward with all my might, unleashing a wave of dark sword energy that spread across the massive arm. In an instant, I severed its newly formed hand in two. 0

Taking advantage of its momentary daze, I leaped high from the dust and aimed to finish it off by jumping over its head. But just then, a horde of ghosts surged forth from the crumbling houses like a tidal wave, all rushing toward me. 0

At that moment, I was already in mid-air and had no time to evade. The swarm of ghosts crashed down on me, forcing me back to the ground. Even with the protection of the Void Spirit, I was severely injured and coughed up blood. Hu Fang and Li Zhisheng, witnessing this scene from the side, couldn't help but shout, "Shen Xu!" Fearing for their safety, I yelled at them, "Don't come over!" while swinging my sword desperately to fend off the ghosts pressing down on me. 0

Unfortunately, there were more and more ghosts appearing, leaving me no time to cope. Moreover, I began to feel what Sheng Dan had mentioned earlier—the sword was draining my blood. It felt as if the sword in my hand was growing heavier while the ghosts continued to gnaw at my body. My swings were becoming slower and slower. 0

Looking at the ghastly faces of the ghosts before me, I thought, "Am I really going to die here?!" Hu Fang and Li Zhisheng could only see my body convulsing under the weight of the Vengeful Spirits; they anxiously shouted from their spot, "What’s happening to you? What’s going on? Say something!" 0

Just as despair began to engulf me once more, that ethereal voice rang out again: "Give your body to me; I can save you!" 0
