Seeing someone approach, I couldn't think much and desperately clung to her leg, pleading with tears in my eyes, "Aunt Wang, please save me, I don't want to die..." She replied softly, "Don't worry, you won't die..." 0

Then, she pulled out a dagger and made a deep cut on her own arm, blood gushing out instantly. I felt a warm flow trickle down from the top of my head, and in that moment, the bone-chilling cold vanished completely. The summer heat returned, and the chaotic sound of insects filled my ears once again. 0

Next, she spoke to me in a gentle voice, "Alright, it's all over now..." Upon hearing this, my tense nerves relaxed immediately, and I fainted at her feet. 0

When I woke up again, it was already the next morning. My parents stood anxiously by the bedside. Seeing me awake, they hurriedly embraced me, saying, "Thank goodness you're finally awake..." 0

"Yes, she just fainted from heatstroke last night in the yard. A little saltwater will do her good," a middle-aged woman said nearby. But I knew in my heart that what I had seen last night was definitely not an illusion. 0

My parents turned to thank the middle-aged woman, saying, "Thank you so much..." Before they could finish their sentence, the driver leaned against the door frame, panting heavily: "The car is fixed; we can go now. We're just waiting for you..." 0

"Okay, we'll be right there." My parents took out some money to give to the middle-aged woman, but she firmly refused it. After some back-and-forth and realizing time was running out, my parents had no choice but to give up. 0

Before leaving, she quietly slipped a bottle of osmanthus oil into my hand and told me to apply a little if I ever saw that thing again. 0

"So that's why you've kept that bottle until now?" I asked. Hu Fang nodded in agreement. At that moment, Meng Zhuang murmured thoughtfully from the side, "This story... I feel like I've heard it somewhere before..." 0

Hearing Meng Zhuang's words made me smile. "I haven't heard it; where did you hear it from?" 0

"I remember now!" Meng Zhuang exclaimed. "That middle-aged woman of yours has a long scar on her right hand; her name is Wang Shu, right?!" 0

Hu Fang was suddenly startled: "Yes! Hearing you say that reminds me; her name is indeed Wang Shu. But I really don't remember which hand the scar was on. How did you know?" 0

Meng Zhuang wore a proud expression on his face as he replied, "That Wang Shu is my shaman." 0

"Is it really that coincidental?!" Li Zhisheng exclaimed in disbelief. I, listening from the side, found it hard to believe as well. "If this coincidence is true, and this person named Wang Shu is really that impressive, then Li Zhisheng is saved!" 0

With that thought, my heart filled with confidence. I turned to Hu Fang and said, "Now you have your chance to repay your debt. Have you thought about what you want to say when you meet your savior?" 0

Hu Fang hesitated for a moment. "I don't know what to say right now. Maybe I'll figure it out once I see them..." With that, Hu Fang yawned. 0

I pulled out my phone and noticed it was already eleven at night. "Alright then, since the story is over and it's getting late, we need to continue our journey tomorrow. Everyone should get some rest." 0

At this point, the overhead lights in the train car had long been turned off, leaving only a few dim lights for navigation. 0

Hu Fang climbed up the stairs to the second level, followed closely by Meng Zhuang. As soon as Meng Zhuang reached the second level, Hu Fang complained, "Meng Zhuang, your feet smell terrible! Go wash them!" 0

I lay on the bottom bunk and said, "I don't mind sleeping down here. Besides, where can we wash our feet on this train? Just bear with it; it's only one night." 0

Hearing this, Hu Fang didn't say anything further. However, Meng Zhuang seemed a bit embarrassed. As soon as he got to the upper bunk, he hurriedly covered his feet with a blanket, afraid the smell would escape. 0

While there was no odor above, Meng Zhuang's shoes remained below. Li Zhisheng couldn't take it anymore; he whispered from his lower bunk to me, "This... really does smell a bit excessive..." 0

"I'll think of something..." I said as I pulled out the plastic bag that had contained our takeout and slipped Meng Zhuang's shoes inside. 0

"Is it better now?" Li Zhisheng gave me a thumbs-up. "You've saved this planet; on behalf of humanity, thank you!" 0

I smiled proudly and replied, "Go to sleep now, humans..." After I finished speaking, Li Zhisheng wished me goodnight and turned over to sleep. 0

Meanwhile, I couldn't help but think about how Li Zhisheng would be saved tomorrow. I was so happy that I found it hard to fall asleep. Lying in bed, I quietly listened to the sound of the train wheels rolling over the tracks. 0

Not long after, Hu Fang poked her head out from the upper bunk. "Shen Xu, Shen Xu, are you asleep..." she whispered. 0

"No, what's up?" 0

"I want to discuss something with you. Can I switch beds? The smell is coming through the floorboards!" Hu Fang said, her face filled with despair. 0

I helplessly reached out and gently patted her head. "You're so troublesome!" She stuck her tongue out at me and climbed down from the upper bunk. 0

After switching beds, I lay in the middle bunk and heard Hu Fang's breathing gradually stabilize. She murmured to herself, "Finally, it's quiet." 0

Gradually, sleepiness washed over me. Just as I was about to drift off, I felt the train slowly decelerating until it finally came to a stop. "Is it a temporary stop?" I wondered as I looked out the window. Dim yellow lights flickered outside, and I could vaguely see the station sign. 0

"Must be some station," I mumbled. Just as I was about to go back to sleep, a mother and daughter entered the compartment. They had no luggage and climbed directly into the middle and upper bunks across from me. Li Zhisheng, who was lying in the lower bunk, seemed completely oblivious and appeared to be asleep. 0

Once they settled into their bunks, they didn't say a word. I couldn't see what the mother was doing in the upper bunk, but the daughter lay stiffly in the middle bunk, her posture extremely rigid, giving off an uncomfortable vibe. 0

Although I found it strange, I figured that continuing to watch might make me seem like a creep, so I closed my eyes and tried to sleep. 0

However, sleep eluded me; it felt like something heavy was pressing down on my chest. After a while, the train started moving again. I turned onto my side toward the aisle, trying to relax as much as possible to fall asleep quickly. 0

But even in that position, I still felt an immense pressure on my chest, suffocatingly heavy. The sensation grew clearer by the moment, almost making it hard for me to breathe. 0

"What’s going on? Is it because of poor air circulation?" I thought as I took deep breaths in an attempt to relieve the tightness in my chest. After several tries with no improvement, frustration set in. 0

Suddenly, a clear sound of chewing reached my ears. "Hu Fang is up eating again?" I thought as I opened my eyes. 0

As soon as I opened my eyes, I saw the mother and daughter who had just boarded the train voraciously gnawing on Li Zhisheng's head. Their eyes bulged out, and their mouths were filled with sharp teeth, already drenched in blood. 0

They had stripped away Li Zhisheng's skull and were chewing on the brain inside, making a series of smacking sounds. 0

Seeing this scene, I hurriedly fumbled around for my backpack, trying to find Jiang Ling and the talismans. Just as I reached for the spot where I usually kept my bag, I realized I had grabbed nothing but air. 0

Suddenly, it struck me that I had switched bunks with Hu Fang earlier, and my bag was on the lower bunk! At that moment, I was unarmed, and with the cramped space of the bed, it was difficult to even think about escaping. 0

The mother and daughter noticed I was awake and quickly finished off Li Zhisheng's brain in a few bites. They tossed aside the now-empty skull, licked their lips with their tongues as if savoring the taste, and grinned at me while extending their skeletal arms. 0

With no way to avoid them, I threw the blanket over their faces and quickly rolled out of bed, landing on the floor while shouting, "Hu Fang! Meng Zhuang! Run!" 0

As soon as I shouted, I saw that Hu Fang on the lower bunk had already been reduced to a bloody mess, nothing more than a puddle of flesh. Rage surged within me; fueled by anger and desperation, I yelled, "Damn it! I'll fight you to the end!" 0

Just as my words fell from my lips, I clenched my right fist and poured all my strength into a strike aimed at the two Evil Spirits. 0

Suddenly, there was a loud bang. Pain shot through my fist as Hu Fang's head popped up from the middle bunk in confusion. "What happened? What happened? Even if I'm stinky, you don't have to throw a fit and smash my bed board! I still want to swap beds with you..." 0

I looked at my hand that had hit the bed board and muttered to myself, "Is this another premonition?!" 0

At that moment, Meng Zhuang also poked his head out from the upper bunk. "Shen, what's wrong? Is my foot really that smelly? If it is too much trouble, I won't sleep anymore; please don't get mad." 0

Only Li Zhisheng seemed to understand what was happening. He turned to me and asked, "Did you see something again? What do we need to do?" 0

"Da Zhuang, Hu Fang, get down here," I said while rubbing my aching right hand. "There's no time to explain now. The train will stop at the next station for a very short time. You both need to pack your things quickly; we must get off at the next stop!" 0

Hu Fang and Li Zhisheng had experienced a lot with me. Seeing my serious expression, they immediately began to pack their things without saying a word. Only Meng Zhuang seemed unaware of the severity of the situation. Rubbing his eyes, he said, "We've only gone halfway. It's not easy to change trains now. Let's just wait until we get there..." 0

Hearing this, I gritted my teeth and grabbed Meng Zhuang by the collar. "Listen, even if we have to walk the rest of the way, we must get off at the next stop. Otherwise, we'll all die on this train!" 0

As soon as he heard that we might die, Meng Zhuang instantly perked up and started organizing his luggage. 0

A few minutes later, everyone had packed their luggage properly, and the train was slowly decelerating. "Quick, go to the exit!" I urged as I led everyone to the train door, waiting for it to open. 0

Just then, a woman's voice suddenly came from the adjacent carriage. She shouted, "There's a thief! No one is allowed to leave here; I need to check everyone one by one!" 0

Upon hearing her shout, my heart sank, and I thought to myself that this was bad... 0
