I asked in confusion, "What is it?" The Death Apostle explained, "Do you remember when you killed the Onizuka guardian? It released a large amount of Evil Spirits..." 0

"You mean, I should go home and use that booklet to eliminate the spirits?" 0

The Death Apostle nodded in agreement, saying, "Exactly. The Onizuka you defeated this time is the Penglai Star, which represents greed. Therefore, there must be a significant number of Vengeful Spirits among them. If we don't eliminate them quickly, they could wreak havoc on the world." 0

I thought for a moment and replied, "At this time, there probably aren't any flights back. I’ll definitely set off first thing in the morning." With that, I borrowed Hu Fang's phone and booked a flight for nine o'clock the next morning. 0

Seeing that I had booked the ticket, the Death Apostle's frown eased slightly. He muttered to himself, "From this Onizuka, it's clear that someone has been secretly arranging these Onizuka, and this person must be alive..." 0

Hearing his words, I added, "I’ve noticed that too. The Cursed Realm above this Onizuka is likely intentional." Realizing this, I continued, "What you mentioned is something I've also sensed. Otherwise, the Cursed Realm wouldn't have appeared out of nowhere above the Onizuka, and the master of the Cursed Realm is also the 'guardian' of the Onizuka. We might even know this person who set up the Onizuka." 0

The Death Apostle looked at me and said, "I know who you're thinking of—Gu Kai, right?" 0

I replied, "I think no one else could pull off something like this. When I return this time, I must have a good 'talk' with him." A fierce expression crossed my face. 0

Sensing the Killing Intent radiating from me, the Death Apostle cautioned, "You can't confront him directly right now for two reasons. First, your Void Spirit is sealed; you won't be able to unleash your power. If you engage him in a fight now, you will undoubtedly perish. Second, even if you don't want to fight him, once you come into contact with him, he might discover that your Void Spirit is sealed. From any angle you consider it, it's not advantageous for you." 0

After hearing this, I thought to myself that if Gu Kai wanted to harm me, given his abilities, he would have acted long ago since he had already orchestrated my Void Spirit's sealing once before. So he must want something else from me. 0

Though I thought this in my heart, I didn't express it to the Death Apostle. Instead, I casually replied, "Yeah, you're right. I'll be more cautious; don't worry." While saying this, I had my own plans. 0

As night fell deep into the hours, not wanting to disturb their rest, Hu Fang, Meng Zhuang and I bid farewell to them and returned to the hotel room we had previously booked. 0

As soon as we entered the room, Meng Zhuang curiously asked, "Shen, what happened when you guys went out? How did you get hurt so badly in such a short time?" 0

Feeling utterly exhausted and not wanting to explain anything to him, I brushed him off with a vague response: "We encountered some ghosts..." And with that said, I fell into a deep sleep. 0

The next day at dawn as the Bright Golden Rooster crowed three times, I dragged my weary body out of bed. Rubbing my sleepy eyes, I glanced at Hu Fang sleeping on another bed and Meng Zhuang sprawled on the sofa. Seeing they were still asleep, I left a note on a notepad from the drawer and went downstairs alone. 0

At the front desk, knowing that the Death Apostle and his companions would be hospitalized for some time, I paid for another two weeks' stay. 0

After paying, I glanced at the clock on the wall; it was already seven in the morning. I hurried to the hospital to inform Li Zhisheng and then rushed to the airport, stopping briefly at a shop on the street to buy a piece of clothing to wear. 0

The journey was silent, and I finally arrived home in the evening. 0

As soon as I stepped inside, I dashed into my bedroom and pulled out the Sheepskin Book. After a flurry of writing, a strong burning sensation surged through my arm. 0

I took off my clothes to check and saw that the mark had retreated from near my neck down to below my elbow. "How many Vengeful Spirits are gathered within that Onizuka?" I muttered to myself. 0

At that moment, I noticed that one star of the Nine Stars had already vanished from my chest, leaving only six stars remaining. 0

"What will happen when all the Nine Stars disappear? Will all the marks on my hands vanish, or will something even more terrifying come?" I dared not think further. 0

Looking at the bloodstains still lingering on my body, I said to myself, "Forget it; I won't think about it for now. I'll take a shower first." With that, I found some fresh clothes and headed for the shower. 0

After cleaning up and changing into fresh clothes, I took out Jiang Ling from my bag and placed it beside the bed. 0

I picked up my fully charged phone and ordered takeout, planning to eat before heading out to find Gu Kai, hoping he might provide some breakthrough or help me track down the Third Box. 0

Just as I was idly watching TV while waiting for the food, the doorbell suddenly rang. Through the intercom system, I saw a Delivery Guy wearing a baseball cap standing at my door, holding a package. He had pulled his cap down low enough that his face was completely obscured. 0

Without thinking much of it, I pressed the button to open the door. The main entrance downstairs clicked open with a "thud." 0

Before long, there came a slow knock at the door. 0

When I opened it, there stood the Delivery Guy I had seen through the intercom. He raised the package in his hand and deliberately emphasized his tone: "Mr. Shen Xu, your takeout." 0

"Oh, okay. How much is it..." As soon as I spoke, I felt something was off; how did he know my name? 0

I quickly stepped back a few paces and stared at this person holding my food, demanding, "Who are you? How do you know my name?!" 0

As soon as I finished, I saw the corners of his mouth slightly lift under the shadow of his cap. "Can't even recognize my voice anymore?" he said, taking off his cap. 0

I widened my eyes in shock. "Gu Kai!" 0

"How did you know I was back?" I took a small step back with my right foot, wary of his next move. 0

Gu Kai casually tossed his cap to the ground and shot me a disdainful glance. "It's not hard to figure out that you're back. Don't forget, all your actions are under my control. If I really wanted to make a move, no one could escape." 0

He walked into the house, placing the takeout he was holding on the tea table in the living room. "I've already paid for you; consider it my treat. But honestly, your meal looks pretty pathetic..." 0

Seeing him sit down on the sofa without a care, I thought to myself, "Well, this works out perfectly; I've been looking for you, and here you are." 0

Gu Kai turned his head to look at me as I slowly moved toward the bedroom. "Aren't you looking for me? I'm right here; just say what you need to..." He crossed his legs and added, "Oh right, your Void Spirit is sealed, isn't it? Don't even think about going after Jiang Ling; it's useless. Come sit." 0

Though each of his words seemed light and casual, they felt like heavy blows landing on my heart. 0

"Since you've come this far, there's no need for me to hide anything anymore. Is the Cursed Realm something you created?" I asked from the side. 0

Gu Kai smirked coldly. "Even if it were me, what could you do about it? Would you believe me if I said I wasn't? So this question is meaningless." 0

His response left me speechless. He shifted the conversation and continued, "The reason I'm here today is to tell you some good news..." He picked up the remote from the sofa and switched to a news channel. 0

"Previously, in this city, eighteen bodies were discovered in a murder case. After several days of investigation, it was determined that these eighteen people all committed suicide in an extremely brutal manner..." Before the news could finish, Gu Kai turned off the TV and said, "Now you've cleared yourself of any murder suspicion..." 0

I stared blankly at the now-turned-off television, hardly able to believe what I had just seen. 0

I collected myself and said, "You show me this because you want to demonstrate that you can control everything?! What exactly are you after?" 0

Gu Kai appeared somewhat helpless. "I wish I could control everything myself; the truth is, this wasn't my doing. As for my purpose, even if I told you, you wouldn't understand. In any case, I have my own stance. I'm mainly here to warn you to be careful of those around you; otherwise, your friends might be in danger." 0

I let out a light hum and said, "You lured me into your trap before, and now you still try to sow discord. Do you really think I would believe you?" 0

"Believe it or not, it's up to you. I'm just giving you a friendly warning. If something happens that you don't want to see, don't blame me for not reminding you," Gu Kai said as he stood up to leave. 0

"Wait!" I reached out to stop him. "One last question. Is the Box that the Death Apostle has in your possession? Did you steal his Box?" 0

Gu Kai glanced at me. "I know you've been looking for the Third Box, but I can tell you clearly that I've never seen the Third Box either. As for how the Death Apostle is connected to you, I don't know, but one thing is certain: he is lying. I've done what I needed to do; can I leave now?" 0

"Not seeing you off," I replied, lowering my hand and falling into deep thought. 0

Gu Kai brushed past me and, when he reached the door, turned back to say, "Your takeout will get cold if you don't eat it soon..." With that, he walked out and slammed the door behind him. 0

As he left, I slumped onto the sofa, wondering, "What is going on here? Who is telling the truth between Gu Kai and the Death Apostle? Who should I trust? If Gu Kai is telling the truth, then Li Zhisheng, Hu Fang, and Meng Zhuang might be in danger right now. But if the Death Apostle is telling the truth, then what was Gu Kai's purpose in saying all this? What does he want me to understand?" 0

Lost in thought, I leaned back on the sofa and murmured, "Those eighteen people were under the Death Apostle's command. If Gu Kai didn't kill them, could it be a ploy by the Death Apostle? Is this grand performance meant to make me believe him? Or is there another killer behind these eighteen murders..." 0
