"Stop!" I shouted, raising my fist as I charged toward the Evil Spirit. Although I knew I was no match for it, I had to buy time until Meng Zhuang could bring Li Zhisheng! 0

In just a few steps, I closed in on the Evil Spirit from behind. My fist, clenched tightly, cut through the air as I aimed for the back of its head. 0

To my surprise, the Evil Spirit suddenly twisted its head around. A grotesque face appeared before me, startling me into hesitation for a moment. It was this brief pause that allowed the Evil Spirit to swiftly turn around. Its arms swung as it pivoted, and with a loud smack, one of its arms struck hard against my left rib. 0

I let out a muffled groan and fell to the right, crashing into a nearby respirator and heart monitor. The equipment toppled off the shelf upon impact, and the heart monitor flickered twice before plunging into darkness. 0

At that moment, seeing that I had not regained my footing, the Evil Spirit stepped closer to me. It crossed its three arms in front of its chest and aimed them down at my head. 0

With no way to evade, I swung my fist again, hoping to use the force of my punch to propel myself away from its attack. 0

But the creature was faster. Even though I was close to it, I was still a beat too slow. Just as my fist made contact with its blood-stained coat, its fist was already barreling toward me. I could even feel its slimy arm brush against my eyelashes. 0

In that critical moment, there was a dull thud. It felt like my hand bones were about to shatter. "Shen, what's wrong? What are you doing? Why are you smashing the glass?" Meng Zhuang exclaimed in shock beside me. 0

I stared wide-eyed in terror and glanced around, muttering, "Another premonition?" Then I quickly shoved Meng Zhuang and urged him urgently, "Hurry! Go get Li Zhisheng!" 0

Though Meng Zhuang looked bewildered, he could see my anxiety and complied. "Oh—oh—okay, I'll go find him right away..." he replied before turning and sprinting toward Li Zhisheng's hospital room. 0

I anxiously scanned my surroundings, thinking to myself, "Even if I know it's a premonition, what point in time is this exactly..." 0

At that moment, I noticed two nurses at the Nurse Station not far away. One was busy with tasks while the other pushed open the door and prepared to leave. 0

"Could this nurse be the one who disappeared earlier? If the premonition unfolds as expected, she will come looking for me next. Then I'll chase after her and there will be a power outage; subsequently, another nurse will transform into the Evil Spirit to kill the Death Apostle... There's no way to escape; forcibly taking the Death Apostle out of the Intensive Care Unit could very well cost him his life. But if I don't run... what should I do?" 0

Thinking of this, despite the urgency in my heart, I still made an effort to calm myself down. I rubbed my chin with one hand and murmured, "Since I can't run away, I must find the source of this danger and eliminate it. But with time so tight, what can I do? One nurse has disappeared, another has died and turned into an Evil Spirit, targeting the Death Apostle..." 0

Just as I was starting to piece things together, a voice suddenly pulled me out of my thoughts. "Aren't you going to take care of the patients in the ward?" 0

Upon hearing this, I cursed inwardly, knowing that the premonitions I had were beginning to unfold. I hesitated for a moment and said, "Ah, you're just in time! A friend of mine caught a cold while taking care of a patient. Could you take him to get an injection?" 0

Before I could finish speaking, Meng Zhuang appeared right on cue, bringing Li Zhisheng to my side. Meng Zhuang hurried over and said, "Shen, I've brought Li Zhisheng." 0

Seeing this, I quickly pulled Li Zhisheng in front of the nurse. "Look, this is my friend who has caught a cold!" With that, I gently patted Li Zhisheng's back a few times to signal him to cooperate. 0

Li Zhisheng understood and quickly pretended to be sick, coughing a few times. "Cough cough, it's been a bit chilly lately. I don't know how it happened; I suddenly caught a cold." 0

Then he touched his forehead and added, "Not just a cold; it seems like I have a bit of a fever too." 0

However, the nurse adopted an indifferent attitude. "You can just take him downstairs to register..." With that, she turned to leave. 0

"Hey—wait..." Seeing this, I grabbed her arm. "Look, we're all from out of town and unfamiliar with the place. Plus, he's already a patient with an injury on his leg and can't move around easily. Could you please help us out?" 0

Meng Zhuang chimed in as well. "Yeah, just lend us a hand. You look so beautiful; you must have a kind heart..." 0

Hearing our pleas, she couldn't refuse any longer and reluctantly said, "Fine then, follow me..." She headed toward the elevator while I followed behind, thinking to myself, "Now let's see how you plan to escape." 0

Just as we reached the entrance of the elevator lobby, Hu Fang's voice called out from behind us. "Where are you guys going?!" 0

"Li..." I was about to respond when suddenly, darkness enveloped us. "What’s happening?!" Li Zhisheng exclaimed. 0

Meng Zhuang, clearly frightened, trembled as he said, "I... I don’t know. Is there a power outage?" 0

Fearing that their panic would escalate, I urged, "Everyone stay calm! It will be back on soon!" 0

As soon as I spoke, I felt something was off. A cold object brushed against my fingertips. Suddenly, that thing gripped my right hand tightly, the sensation akin to plunging my palm into snow, chilling to the bone. 0

"Who is it?!" I shouted. 0

Hearing my voice, Meng Zhuang and Li Zhisheng, unable to see what was happening, asked, "What’s going on?" 0

Before I could answer, there was a loud "bang," and the lights above flickered back on. At that moment, the nurse who had been leading us had vanished without a trace. 0

"Hu Fang, what... happened?" I asked, looking at Hu Fang who was still holding onto my hand. 0

Hu Fang appeared anxious and her complexion was pale. She released my hand and stammered, "N-nothing. I just got scared." 0

Noticing her odd demeanor raised my suspicions, but fearing that revealing too much might cause alarm and put everyone in danger, I forced a smile to reassure her. "It's fine; it’s just a power outage. We’re all here together; there’s nothing to fear." 0

Then, a thought struck me about the nurse who had transformed into an Evil Spirit. Worry crept in as I addressed the group, "You all go check on the Death Apostle and see if anything has happened. I'll be right back." With that, I hurried towards the Nurse Station. 0

As I approached, I saw the nurse who had turned into an Evil Spirit standing inside the Nurse Station. It seemed she had been startled by the sudden blackout and appeared somewhat disoriented. 0

I stepped forward and asked, "Hello, could you please tell me what just happened? Why did the power suddenly go out?" 0

The nurse looked at me and replied, "I don't know what happened either. Power outages are quite rare here because the hospital has backup power systems, so even if there is an outage, it should be restored immediately. This time, it does seem a bit strange..." 0

"Got it, thank you," I said before walking towards Li Zhisheng and the others. 0

"How is it? Is the Death Apostle okay?" I asked Li Zhisheng, who was standing outside the Intensive Care Unit. 0

Li Zhisheng appeared somewhat worried as he responded, "The Death Apostle is fine, but what exactly did you discover? Did you foresee any danger again?" 0

I pondered for a moment and replied, "You got me; I did foresee the presence of danger, and it seems to be specifically targeting the Death Apostle..." I then shared everything I had foreseen with him. 0

After listening, Li Zhisheng pointed to the cane in my left hand and asked, "Could this cane... no, it should be the organization that this cane is connected to." 0

"I'm not sure about that right now; everything is still a mystery. If such an organization exists, why would they want to put the Death Apostle in danger? Did the Death Apostle discover their secret? But he has never mentioned anything related to that. Could it be that he harbors some hidden secret?" 0

Hearing my doubts, Li Zhisheng sighed. "Everything is unknown at this point. The only way forward is to wait for the Death Apostle to wake up and reveal the truth himself. For now, our priority should be to protect him." 0

Just as Li Zhisheng finished speaking, Hu Fang suddenly appeared uneasy. She was pacing back and forth anxiously. 0

"Hu Fang, what's wrong?" I asked cautiously. 0

Li Zhisheng and Meng Zhuang turned around at my question, looking at Hu Fang with confusion. Hu Fang bit her finger and said, "I just have this feeling that something is off about this place. It feels like it's suddenly gotten cold around me..." As she spoke, she kept rubbing her arms with her hands. 0

"Cold? I'm not cold. If you want, I can lend you my jacket," Meng Zhuang said as he took off his outerwear, intending to drape it over Hu Fang. 0

However, as soon as Meng Zhuang approached Hu Fang, she instinctively flinched and stared at him. "No need. I think I was just startled by the power outage earlier. I'll be fine in a bit." 0

Noticing something was off with her, I quickly moved closer to Li Zhisheng and Meng Zhuang, pulling them back a few steps. Li Zhisheng glanced at me and whispered, "I don't know why, but I feel a bit chilly too. Is there something nearby?" 0

Li Zhisheng's words were soft enough that Meng Zhuang and Hu Fang didn't hear him. 0

I responded quietly, "It's possible. I noticed something was off earlier, but I wasn't sure..." I glanced at Hu Fang and then at Meng Zhuang. 0

At that moment, I was shocked to discover that the red bow that had been tied around Hu Fang's neck and the cigarettes from Meng Zhuang's pocket had vanished without a trace. 0

"This is bad. All the signals Li Zhisheng and I set up are gone. How are we supposed to tell who has a problem now? If that Evil Spirit strikes first, we're done for!" As this thought crossed my mind, cold sweat began to bead on my forehead. 0
