Everything happened in a flash, and before I could react, the metal object shot past me. 0

Still shaken, I noticed three glinting objects appear ahead. This time, the target was not me but headed straight for the position of the Death Apostle in the back seat. 0

I cursed under my breath, wanting to intervene and block it, but my body was firmly secured by the roller coaster's safety harness, leaving me completely immobile. 0

In an instant, I heard three metallic clangs. This time, I saw clearly that they were three blood-red arrows. "Yao Long!" I exclaimed. 0

However, the Death Apostle behind me and Hu Fang beside him seemed oblivious to any danger, still immersed in the thrill of the roller coaster ride. 0

But I had no mind to enjoy the excitement; I thought, "It seems these people really intend to eliminate the Death Apostle by any means necessary. Moreover, those who came this time are not simple; they managed to accurately seize the opportunity to attack us on such a high-speed roller coaster. Their combat experience is definitely not inferior to Yao Long's. If it weren't for Yao Long's early warning, both the Death Apostle and I would likely be dead by now." 0

Lost in thought, I realized that the train had already reached its destination. "Aren't you... scared?!" The Death Apostle's legs felt weak as he spoke with a trembling voice. 0

Hearing his words snapped me back to reality. "Of course I'm scared! Didn't you see that I was frozen in fear?" With that, I stepped off the train. 0

It was then that I noticed Hu Fang's hair was a mess from the wind, and her eyes glistened with tears. She looked at me and said, "You weren't scared at all! You had a blank expression throughout; it seemed like you were thinking about something... By the way, something flew past us midway..." 0

"You actually noticed? Impressive..." I complimented her. 0

Hu Fang looked puzzled. "Noticed what? I just thought someone might have dropped something when the roller coaster flipped upside down..." 0

Upon hearing this, I muttered to myself, "Looks like I'm overthinking things." 0

After leaving the roller coaster, the Death Apostle finally seemed to process what had happened. He pondered my words and asked, "Shen Xu, did something happen midway that I didn't notice?" 0

I nodded. "Yes, it seems someone tried to ambush us with something, but Yao Long's arrows intercepted them." 0

"Fortunately he noticed in time..." The Death Apostle appeared somewhat relieved. He then asked, "So what are your plans moving forward?" 0

As I walked through the crowd, I whispered, "To implement the plan, we must confront them directly..." With that, I revealed a portion of Jiang Ling that I had been hiding behind my back. 0

"But there are too many people right now. We need to wait until evening, and during this time, we must be cautious of their ambushes. Since Yao Long has already made a move, they might have noticed us, so we need to be even more vigilant." I covered Jiang Ling back up with my clothing. 0

"So, does that mean we have to continue playing some games?" Death Apostle asked. 0

I replied, "Yes, but we need to think carefully about what to play. Outdoor activities are too dangerous; even on a roller coaster, they could find an opportunity to strike. So we should look for some indoor activities to keep ourselves safe." 0

Death Apostle nodded in agreement, while Hu Fang had already tidied her hair and makeup. Upon hearing me mention indoor activities, she immediately exclaimed excitedly, "Let's go to the Haunted House!" 0

I looked at her in surprise. "You cried on the roller coaster; now you want to go to the Haunted House? Are you planning not to come back alive?" 0

Just then, unexpectedly, Death Apostle chimed in to support Hu Fang: "Oh, you're mistaken! Actually, most Haunted Houses aren't scarier than roller coasters. Think about it; we've seen real ghosts before. Are we really going to be afraid of a Haunted House?" 0

I thought about it and found some truth in her words; after all, Hu Fang had indeed encountered real ghosts. So I agreed, "Alright then, let's give it a try. I'm not scared anymore." 0

As we spoke, a large entrance shaped like a skull appeared before us. "Is this the Haunted House? It looks so tacky," I complained. 0

Death Apostle responded, "Don't worry about how tacky it looks; the main thing is that it's indoors and relatively safer." 0

However, Hu Fang completely ignored our banter. She ran over to the information desk and asked a few questions before returning with a smile. "This Haunted House is walk-through! You just walk in, but..." She pulled out three pairs of glasses from behind her back. "The staff requires us to wear these." 0

I took one pair and examined it. It was a somewhat high-end black frame with a square object attached to the glasses—some sort of special device. 0

I put them on and looked around but didn't notice anything different. "What is this? It doesn't seem like 3D glasses," I said. 0

"Maybe it's some kind of special equipment. Anyway, we'll find out once we go inside." With that, the three of us donned our glasses and entered the Haunted House through the skull's mouth. 0

As soon as we entered, a towering iron door adorned with exquisite patterns caught our eye, next to which was a conspicuous red button. 0

"Is it supposed to be pressed?" Death Apostle asked, pointing at the button. 0

Without hesitation, I replied, "Let's give it a try..." 0

Upon hearing this, Death Apostle pressed the button. As it sank in, a deep, muffled grinding sound echoed, so realistic that it seemed to emanate from the door itself. 0

I marveled, "The sound effects in this Haunted House are amazing!" Death Apostle looked puzzled and said, "What? Sound effects? I thought it was just the door making noise." 0

"You haven't even been to a Haunted House?" I turned to look at Death Apostle. 0

He sheepishly admitted, "No, I really haven't. I've never experienced any of this stuff." 0

In the meantime, the three of us had stepped through the door, only to find ourselves enveloped in darkness. Just then, we heard the sound of the door closing behind us. 0

With a loud "bang," the door shut, and suddenly, clusters of deep green flames illuminated the surroundings. The flames floated in mid-air like Will-o'-the-Wisps. 0

Seeing this, I took off my glasses for a moment and noticed that these Will-o'-the-Wisps were merely projections on the black curtains lining the walls. However, under the effect of my glasses, they appeared both real and illusory. 0

"I thought this was just a props-based Haunted House meant to scare people; I didn't expect it to be this impressive," I exclaimed. 0

At that moment, I felt someone suddenly grab my arm, startling me so much that I flinched and quickly pulled my arm back. I glanced over and said, "Hu Fang, could you not scare me like that?" 0

Hu Fang chuckled beside me, "Aren't you supposed to be fearless? How come you got scared?" 0

I retorted somewhat begrudgingly, "Looking at these things, I thought they were just projections. Who knew you'd suddenly do that?" 0

As everyone continued to move forward, it wasn't long before a figure appeared ahead. The figure slowly approached us, and as it drew nearer, I realized it was a woman with half of her head chopped off. Her long hair covered one side of her face, and brain matter continuously oozed from the gaping wound. The mixture of blood and milky brain matter was particularly grotesque. 0

Just as she was about to reach us, she suddenly swept her hair aside, revealing her other half, which was completely disfigured, and lunged at us. 0

Hu Fang screamed in fright and instinctively clung to me. At the same time, I heard a thud from the other side, the sound of someone collapsing. 0

Startled by the noise, I quickly turned my head to look. In the dim green light, I saw Death Apostle kneeling on the ground while the ghostly figure with half a head rushed towards him without hesitation. 0

A chill ran down my spine as I thought, "Could it be a trap?!" 0

In a panic, I hurriedly took off my glasses, only to see that the rushing ghost was merely a projection on the dark backdrop. Sighing in relief, I pulled off Death Apostle's glasses and said, "See? It's fake. There's nothing to be afraid of." 0

At that moment, Death Apostle turned his terrified face towards me. Under the green light, his expression resembled that of an Evil Spirit. 0

"Something's not right here; I can feel that there really is a ghost present!" he exclaimed anxiously as he stood up and looked around nervously. 0

After hearing this, I quickly calmed myself to sense what was around us. After a long silence, I said, "You're right; there is indeed something here. I don't know if it's a ghost, but there's a heavy Grievance." 0

With that, I pushed Hu Fang aside and shielded her behind me. Then I drew out Jiang Ling from behind me, holding it in front of me with both hands while keeping a vigilant eye on our surroundings. 0

A howling wind echoed through the Haunted House's sound system. "It's okay; there are cameras in the Haunted House. If anything happens, the staff will come to find us." Even as I said this, I couldn't help but wonder what would happen if they did come. 0

"Should we just go outside?" Hu Fang suggested from behind me. 0

"Yeah," I replied and began to slowly back away. Seeing me retreating, Death Apostle hurriedly followed suit. 0

We had only walked for a few minutes when we arrived, but after nearly ten minutes of continuous backing away, we still hadn't reached the entrance. 0

Looking back, I found that the large door we had entered through had vanished, leaving only endless darkness behind us. 0

"No way, the effects of this Haunted House are too good; they even made the door disappear!" I had just finished speaking when I heard hurried footsteps nearby. From the sound, it was clear that whoever was approaching was very close, almost right beside us. 0

"Something is coming!" I warned them, my voice tense with caution. 0

As soon as I spoke, a shadow darted past the green Will-o'-the-Wisp and instantly vanished into the darkness. 0

The projector above seemed to still be working, and chilling ghostly figures suddenly appeared on the screens to our sides, accompanied by terrifying shrieks echoing from the speakers. 0

"It seems we've encountered another group of 'players,'" I could hear the Death Apostle's voice straining to maintain his composure. 0

"Another group of 'players?' What do you mean?! Are there others who want to kill you?!" 0

Death Apostle replied, "No, that's not what I meant. I feel like we might have run into a Ghost Wall; there seems to be something hidden about this amusement park!" 0
