I rushed up the stairs, and beside me, Li Zhisheng turned back curiously upon hearing my words. In his distraction, he nearly collided with the wall next to the staircase. He exclaimed and quickly sidestepped, stumbling as he followed me.
Hu Fang, who rarely exercised and had never experienced such a desperate escape, could only barely keep pace with me and Li Zhisheng, even with the Void Spirit empowering him.
I took three steps at a time, racing upward, while not far behind, that woman was desperately chasing us, continuously shouting, "It's useless! You can't escape!"
I ignored her and worried about what the Monster Bull upstairs was doing. If it was still entangled with those Undead, I just needed to lead this woman to it. Otherwise, we would be the ones attacked by the Monster Bull.
As I pondered this, I noticed that the end of the staircase was just ahead. "What is meant to be will be," I muttered to myself and charged out.
The moment I burst out of the staircase, a strong gust of wind hit me. Turning my head, I saw that the Minotaur had crushed all those Undead into a puddle of mush. It had been waiting at the staircase entrance for someone to emerge. As soon as it spotted me, it charged like a bull seeing red, its blood-red eyes fixed on me.
Seeing this, I quickly dodged aside. In a flash, the Minotaur roared past me and slammed into the concrete wall on the other side of the corridor. The impact was so tremendous that it shook the entire building, sending dust and debris flying everywhere.
Li Zhisheng and Hu Fang, still racing upward, noticed something was wrong and immediately slowed down. However, with that woman still pursuing them from behind, they dared not stop. Their limited visibility within the building left them unaware of what was happening. Li Zhisheng anxiously called out, "Shen Xu! What’s going on?"
At that moment, still shaken from my near encounter, I barely regained my composure upon hearing Li Zhisheng's voice. Seeing that the Minotaur had not charged out again, I told them, "It's safe for now; hurry up!"
Upon hearing this, they quickened their pace and rushed out in just a few steps.
When they joined me, I glanced down the staircase and saw that woman still recklessly closing in on us. Suddenly struck by an idea, I reached out and pulled Hu Fang and Li Zhisheng aside from the staircase entrance. Instead of running again, I patiently waited for the right moment for that woman to come up.
In no time at all, she arrived before me, panting heavily. "See... see where you can run now!"
I didn’t respond but simply smiled at her. Just then, the Monster Bull that had crashed into the wall roared madly upon hearing her voice and charged out from the dust towards her.
The woman was momentarily stunned, and before she could react, the Monster Bull had already thrust its horns deep into her chest, blood spraying out instantly. The book, Divine Anomalies Classic, slipped from her grasp and flew out of her hands.
Seeing this, I quickly leaped up and reached out to catch it. Before I could land, the Minotaur charged forward, having locked onto its target, heedless of who it was.
At that moment, the woman was standing right at the staircase entrance. With that charge, the bull barreled down the stairs. However, its size was much wider than the staircase, causing the entire stairway to collapse under its weight. I hurriedly stepped back a few paces, worried about being struck by falling debris and rubble.
All of this happened in an instant. Hu Fang stood there dumbfounded, while Li Zhisheng trembled in fear. "Is this... your woman and the bull?!"
I held the Divine Anomalies Classic and glanced at the completely collapsed staircase entrance. "What else would you expect?"
"But how can you be sure that this bull would kill that woman? If the Minotaur obeyed her, wouldn't we have been doomed long ago?!" Li Zhisheng said, his voice tinged with a hint of dread.
I chuckled. "Didn’t we see this bull fighting those Undead earlier? That made me wonder if this Ox-Head was forcibly brought here. Since it was brought here against its will, it naturally wouldn’t obey them. Even if that woman had some way to control this Ox-Head, in a situation like just now, it wouldn’t matter because she wouldn’t have time to react."
"You always like to gamble with your life when faced with danger..." Li Zhisheng sighed helplessly.
"This isn't gambling with my life; it's a desperate attempt to survive... Anyway, this isn't the time for that. Let's see if there are any other ways to escape..." With that, I looked around.
At that moment, the dust from where the bull had first charged began to settle, revealing a massive hole in the wall. The opening was tall enough for two people to pass through and exposed broken steel plates and thick rebar.
"No wonder that woman couldn't escape; it looks like this wall is at least half a meter thick and reinforced with a lot of steel bars and heavy plates. If it weren't for that Minotaur, we might have really been trapped here..." I muttered to myself as I approached the hole and peered outside. Beyond it lay an open space filled with parked vehicles.
"Could this lead to an underground parking lot?" I wondered aloud as I stepped outside, followed closely by Hu Fang and Li Zhisheng.
Li Zhisheng exclaimed, "This is truly a case of a blind cat stumbling upon a dead mouse. I can't believe we managed to escape like this..."
"Now that we're out and Hu Fang has been rescued, we shouldn't delay. I'll take you to the hospital first, and then we can figure out our next steps..." With that, the three of them walked out of the underground parking lot. At this point, the Amusement Park had opened, and many visitors were already lining up in front of the attractions.
As they walked through the crowd, Li Zhisheng suddenly asked with a puzzled tone, "Since their goal was Onizuka, what was the purpose of building this amusement park? Could it really be for profit? They can't be that idle..."
Li Zhisheng's question echoed my own doubts. I replied, "That's something I've been wondering about too. After listening, Li Zhisheng furrowed his brow and said, "Could it be that they built this Amusement Park to collect the souls of these visitors?!"
