Hearing the name Li Zhisheng, and combining it with the conversation I had just overheard, I suddenly understood and said, "Could it be similar to the concept of the Ghost Wall?!" 0

Li Zhisheng pondered for a moment and nodded, "I think it should be like that... because the Ghost Wall also aims to draw out the fears and panic within a person, allowing for the extraction of their soul. Most of the attractions in an amusement park operate on the same principle. For example, roller coasters, pirate ships, and even the Haunted House can evoke a sense of thrill while simultaneously inducing moments of terror." 0

As soon as Li Zhisheng finished speaking, I felt something was off. Looking around, I realized we were near the exit of the roller coaster. I noticed that those who had just come off the ride looked dazed, their eyes hollow and lifeless, as if their souls had been drawn out. 0

"Wait a minute, if their souls are taken away, wouldn't they just be left as empty shells? How could they still be alive?!" I thought, feeling confused. But as more people emerged from the ride, it suddenly clicked for me. So those 'Undead' I encountered earlier were created this way—first having their souls extracted and then injected with Void Spirit during the process to replace their original spirits. 0

"But this doesn't add up either. Clearly, Death Apostle, Hu Fang, and I all rode the roller coaster too. Why are we fine? Is it because we have Void Spirit within us? But at that time, Hu Fang and Death Apostle didn't have any... why is that..." I mused, feeling like I had hit a dead end. 0

Seeing me deep in thought, Li Zhisheng patted my shoulder. "Hey, Shen Xu, shouldn't we head out through the entrance? Aren't they checking tickets?" 0

Snapped back to reality by his words, I looked up and realized we had unknowingly arrived at the amusement park's entrance. "Oh right, how did we get here..." With that realization, we retraced our steps back to the unfinished construction site. The main gate was still not fully closed. I thought to myself, "They haven't closed up even after opening? Aren't they afraid someone might sneak in? It seems they really aren't in it for profit..." With that thought in mind, we passed through the iron gate. 0

Once on the roadside, I hailed a taxi and we all headed to the hospital. 0

The journey was quiet until we reached the hospital. Doctor Li Zhisheng's arm had suffered a severe fracture and required hospitalization for surgery. Upon hearing he needed to stay in the hospital again, I hurriedly discussed with the doctor, "Doctor, he only has a broken bone in his arm; nothing else seems wrong. Can't he just have it set and go home to recover?" 0

The doctor immediately dismissed my suggestion. "No way! Do you think setting a bone is that simple? He needs surgery with steel plates; you can't just glue it together and send him home!" 0

Seeing that this doctor had a rather bad temper and given the circumstances, I had no choice but to comply. I let Li Zhisheng stay for now and decided to check on him later when he was better. 0

After settling Li Zhisheng in, I felt worried about Death Apostle and Yao Long back home. So I took Hu Fang with me and headed back home. 0

Upon returning home, Yao Long was already awake, sitting beside the Death Apostle, waiting anxiously. When he saw me come back with Hu Fang, he looked at me with a strange expression, seemingly indicating Hu Fang beside me. 0

Noticing this, I quickly explained, "This Hu Fang is the real one, don't worry. The fake one has probably gone to meet the King of Hell by now." 0

After hearing this, he finally sighed in relief. "Mr. Death woke up midway. I told him about you and me, and then to keep up the act, he knocked himself out again. Look..." 0

Following Yao Long's finger, I glanced at the Death Apostle's forehead and saw a large bump swelling there. I couldn't help but chuckle, "It's now certain that Yang Master's people have confirmed that the Death Apostle is dead. As long as he doesn't frequently show his face, there shouldn't be any major issues... Also, look at that big bump on his head; why haven't you given him a towel to put on it? Is this how you treat your benefactor?" 0

Yao Long replied with a hint of grievance, "I wanted to give him a towel, but who puts a towel on a dead person? It's all for the sake of acting convincingly..." 0

I gave him a thumbs up. "You're really clever; I didn't think of that... Alright then, let him continue lying there." 0

Turning around, I noticed Hu Fang had been quietly standing behind me. Her pale face showed signs of fatigue. Frowning with concern, I asked, "Hu Fang, are you hungry? Do you want me to get you something to eat, or would you prefer to rest first?" 0

Seeing my concern for her, Hu Fang's face lit up with a grateful smile. She bit her lip and said, "Are you going to cook for me? That sounds great! I want steak!" 0

"Steak? Do we have any at home..." I muttered as I walked into the kitchen and opened the fridge to rummage through it. 0

After a moment, I heard Hu Fang from the dining table say, "The steak is on the bottom shelf..." 0

"Oh, got it..." I closed the upper fridge door and saw that Hu Fang had already taken out a knife and fork and was sitting there with an expectant look on her face, occasionally licking her lips. 0

"At this rate, one steak might not be enough..." I thought to myself and pulled out four steaks from the fridge—two for Hu Fang and one each for Yao Long and myself. As for the Death Apostle... well, he wasn't awake yet, so never mind that. 0

After heating the pot, I called out to Hu Fang and Yao Long in the kitchen, "How well do you want your steak cooked?" 0

"Medium rare is fine—make sure to sprinkle on plenty of black pepper," Hu Fang replied. As soon as Yao Long heard I was making steak, he rushed over, drooling and staring at the beef in my hands. "Hey, Shen Xu, I haven't eaten anything all day. Can you give me a few extra pieces? I don't care how well it's cooked, as long as I can eat!" 0

Seeing his hungry state was quite pitiful. I said, "There’s food at home; why don’t you just help yourself when you’re hungry? Why do you have to suffer?" With that, I took out the three remaining steaks from the fridge. 0

Yao Long looked at me with a sad expression. "But this is your house! I wouldn’t dare touch anything without your permission. Plus, with Mr. Death around, I didn’t want to go out to eat and just had to wait for you guys to come back..." 0

I sighed and said, "Next time, don’t be so polite. If you're hungry, just make something for yourself... Alright, you go wait outside with Hu Fang for now. I'll bring the food over once it's ready." After hearing this, Yao Long nodded repeatedly in thanks and left the kitchen. 0

Before long, I brought seven steaks to the table one after another. At first, Yao Long and Hu Fang cut their steaks into pieces with knives and forks in a civilized manner. But soon enough, they felt it wasn’t enough and started grabbing the steaks with their hands to gnaw on them. 0

Just as we were enjoying our meal, a voice came from the living room: "What’s that smell? It’s delicious! Yao Long, did you cook?" 0
