"Are you planning to leave soon?" Li Zhisheng asked. 0

"I really can't go right now; at least I need to wait until after your surgery. Otherwise, I won't be able to relax." 0

Upon hearing this, Li Zhisheng smiled and thanked me. "But there's one thing I need to remind you..." He shifted the topic, "You currently don't have the talisman to restrain the Void Spirit. It's best to wait until you come up with a way to deal with it before making any plans. Otherwise, if you overuse the Void Spirit, that could lead to real trouble..." 0

"Don't worry; I know how to handle it... Alright, let's head back. It's not good to stay out here for too long..." With that, the three of us returned to the hospital room. 0

After helping Li Zhisheng onto the bed, I glanced at the girl lying beside him. She had calmed down a bit by now. She lay quietly on the bed, staring up at the Flower Board, her face showing signs of pain—whether from her injuries or something else, I couldn't tell. 0

I walked over to her bedside and asked, "Are you feeling any better?" 0

She didn't answer my question directly but turned her head and asked, "Is it true? Did I really do this to myself?" 0

I was momentarily speechless. Faced with her calm demeanor, I found myself unable to respond and simply nodded. 0

Seeing this, tears welled up in her eyes, as if she had begun to understand what had happened. At that moment, I remembered Li Zhisheng's attending physician had asked me to inform him once she calmed down. 0

Thinking of this, I turned to leave, but unexpectedly, the girl called out to me: "Can you help loosen this? It's hurting me so much..." 0

Her words filled me with an uneasy premonition. "I'll go find a doctor to take a look at you. He can help you with that," I replied cautiously. Due to my concerns, I didn't directly help her undo the straps and instead walked out of the room. 0

When I reached the duty room, Li Zhisheng's attending physician was busy in his office. I approached him and explained the girl's situation before leading him back to the hospital room. 0

After asking her some questions, the doctor informed her about the condition of her hand. Surprisingly calm after hearing his explanation, she seemed to take everything in stride, which even surprised the doctor. 0

"Do you have any other relatives at home?" he asked. 0

The girl shook her head. 0

"Do you have any close friends?" he continued. 0

But she remained silent and gently shook her head again. 0

The doctor's questions seemed aimed at determining whether anyone would be available to care for her after surgery, but all he received were negative answers. 0

After a moment of silence, the girl spoke up, "Doctor, can you help me get this off? I feel so uncomfortable." 0

The doctor looked at her, hesitated for a moment, but then took a pair of scissors from his pocket and began to cut the straps that bound her. 0

Just as he finished cutting, the girl suddenly grabbed the scissors with her free hand and plunged them into her own throat. In an instant, blood sprayed everywhere, and a gurgling sound escaped from her throat. 0

The event unfolded so suddenly that no one expected such a thing to happen. But the doctor was quick to react; after a brief moment of shock, he didn’t immediately pull the scissors out of the girl's throat. Instead, he turned and shouted towards the door, "Is there any doctor or nurse outside? Quickly prepare emergency tools; someone needs resuscitation!" 0

As he shouted, he rushed outside like the wind. Within a minute, he returned pushing a stretcher, followed by two other doctors, one of whom carried some emergency supplies. 0

They brought the stretcher to the girl's bedside and skillfully transferred her onto it before hastily leaving without looking back. 0

Hu Fang was stunned at that moment. She exchanged a shocked glance with me and said, "Why did that girl want to commit suicide?" 0

"I think she might have sensed something... I’ll go check on the emergency room," I replied as I turned to head outside, with Hu Fang following closely behind. 0

Seeing this, Li Zhisheng could no longer sit still on the bed. He climbed out and joined us. 0

When we reached the entrance of the emergency room, the door was tightly shut, and the light above it that read "Emergency Room" shone brightly. 0

The three of us anxiously waited at the door, pacing back and forth like ants on a hot pan. 0

... 0

Three hours passed. Just as we were growing increasingly anxious, the light above the emergency room door suddenly went out, and the door swung open. Li Zhisheng's attending physician stepped out and removed his mask. At this point, half of his white coat was already stained red with blood. 0

"Doctor, how is she?!" I rushed forward to ask. 0

The doctor shook his head. "Her trachea was completely pierced by herself. Coupled with severe blood loss, it was impossible to save her... sigh..." 0

Hearing the doctor's sigh made me feel a sense of regret. Although we had only met briefly, it was clear from her actions in helping Li Zhisheng that she was a kind-hearted person. 0

"What a good person gone just like that... sigh..." Li Zhisheng also sighed in lamentation. 0

The three of them returned to the hospital room, gazing at the blood-soaked bed in the next room, and exchanged silent glances. 0

After a while, several nurses arrived. They removed the bedding and replaced it with new linens. Once everything was in order, they left. 0

I thought to myself, "It seems these nurses are used to this; they come to change things right after someone has just died..." As I pondered, I noticed a middle-aged man being pushed into the room in a wheelchair by a nurse. 0

"Oh, someone is coming..." I muttered to myself as I watched the man. 0

He had injured his legs, both wrapped in thick plaster casts. What was unusual was that despite his severe injuries, there was no trace of sorrow on his face; instead, he was humming a tune. Normally, I might have found him quite optimistic, but given the gloomy mood we were in, his singing only added to my discomfort and made me feel a sense of aversion towards him. 0

Li Zhisheng and Hu Fang seemed to share my sentiments. Hu Fang shot a disdainful glance at the man and huffed in dissatisfaction. Although Li Zhisheng looked somewhat displeased, he didn't show it as openly; instead, he tugged at my sleeve, signaling me to lean closer. 0

Seeing this, I slightly bent forward towards Li Zhisheng, who whispered softly, "That man is also going to die. He carries an unusually heavy Yin Qi; it seems something is lurking within him. If I'm not mistaken, whatever is inside him wants revenge!" 0
