I raised the corners of my mouth in a faint smile. "You think I won't make it back alive? Just because of you? If you tell me the exact antidote, I'll make your death a bit more merciful." 0

To my surprise, she burst into wild laughter. "Young man, don't speak so arrogantly." As soon as her words fell, she suddenly turned vicious. I saw crimson vines breaking through the ground around me, rushing straight toward my face. 0

Seeing this, I snorted lightly and swung Jiang Ling, instantly slicing through those vines. A cold light flashed in my eyes. "This is what you brought upon yourself." With that, I suddenly exerted force beneath my feet, like a bolt of black lightning, I closed in on the middle-aged woman. Following closely behind were several flashes of Black Light appearing around her. 0

"Do you still think I'm speaking arrogantly?" I said coldly as I stood beside her. 0

As soon as I finished speaking, the woman's hands and feet suddenly separated from her body, and with a thud, her torso collapsed to the ground. 0

At that moment, she was not dead; instead, her eyes widened in terror, seemingly unable to comprehend what had just happened. 0

"Stop dawdling," I looked down at the woman whose body and head were all that remained. 0

"Even if I die, I'll take your friend down with me! I will never tell you!" With that, her expression twisted into a grotesque mask. 0

Suddenly, from the severed limbs, a mass of vines burst forth, driving straight into the ground beneath her while quickly taking root and sprouting. In just moments, a multitude of red buds spread across the ground. 0

"You're about to die and still want to wreak havoc on the world?!" With that thought in mind, I raised Jiang Ling and without hesitation brought it down to sever her head. 0

I had thought that after killing her, those buds would wither away. To my astonishment, not only did they not wither, but they showed no signs of slowing down. 0

Why were those plants still growing when I had killed her? Could it be… she transformed herself into seeds and buried them underground? 0

Realizing the danger, I knew it was bad. If I let these plants continue to grow unchecked, they would soon cover the mountains and valleys, becoming an uncontrollable disaster. 0

"Li Zhisheng! Get Haoyang out of the village! Hurry!" I shouted to Li Zhisheng, who was entangled with villagers at the door while swinging Jiang Ling to cut down those villagers clinging to him, clearing a path for them to escape. 0

Upon hearing this, Li Zhisheng rushed into the house without hesitation. Moments later, he emerged carrying Haoyang. "What exactly do you want?!" he shouted at me. 0

"Don't worry about that. Just leave here as quickly as you can, run as far as you can." With that, I used Jiang Ling to slay the remaining villagers, then leaped into the air. As I ascended, the entire village gradually came into view. 0

In midair, I saw Li Zhisheng and Haoyang were already moving away. I quickly channeled my power into the sword, forming a Black Sphere at its tip. As I continued to infuse it with energy, the sphere expanded and contracted repeatedly, releasing arcs of Black Lightning from its surface. 0

Just as the sphere was about to shrink to its limit, I aimed for the center of the village and forcefully released it. 0

In an instant, there was a deafening explosion as the Black Sphere struck the ground, resulting in a violent blast. A column of black light shot upwards and rapidly expanded until it engulfed the entire village. It then slowly dissipated, and when the Black Light faded, the village had vanished from my sight as if it had been vaporized. The plants on the ground disappeared along with the village, leaving behind a massive void that resembled an abyss. 0

I slowly descended beside that enormous hollow, glancing at the mark on my arm. Although it hadn't reached a critical point yet, it appeared somewhat dangerous. 0

Seeing that the threat had been eliminated, I calmed myself and withdrew the power of Void Spirit, hastily pursuing Li Zhisheng and Haoyang in the direction they had gone... 0

Before long, I caught up with Li Zhisheng and them. We were already some distance away from the previous village. Li Zhisheng had laid Haoyang down under a large tree while he rested beneath it. 0

Seeing they were safe, I hurried over. "How are you? Are you alright?" 0

"We're fine. What about you? Are you hurt? And have you found a way to save Haoyang?" Li Zhisheng asked with concern. 0

"I got some information, but I'm not sure if it's true..." I replied ambiguously. 0

"What do you mean?! Did you destroy the entire village without clarifying the situation?" Li Zhisheng looked incredulous. 0

"I had no choice. If I hadn't done that, those plants would have spread throughout this area. By then, it wouldn't just be this village that needed to be dealt with..." 0

I then recounted everything that had happened and what I discovered in the neighboring village in detail to Li Zhisheng. 0

Afterward, Li Zhisheng nodded thoughtfully. "That makes sense; there really wasn't any other option. But is that Snail he mentioned one of those Red Snails?" 0

"I'm not sure either. He only told me it was a bloodied Snail. I think it must be that Blood-Red Snail we saw before, but I don't know how to use it since he was killed before he could prepare..." I said, feeling quite frustrated yet helpless. 0

As I sighed in despair, I suddenly noticed a red bug slowly crawling towards us. Li Zhisheng was quick to react, grabbing the bug and saying, "Is this the thing?" He held it up in front of me. 0

I took a closer look and confirmed it was indeed the Blood-Red Snail. "Could it be edible?" I muttered to myself uncertainly. 0

Li Zhisheng heard my words and frowned. He held the snail's body with one hand and then shook it vigorously, causing the shell to fall off. Next, he pried open Haoyang's mouth with his middle and ring fingers and shoved the shelled snail inside. 0

"Hey! We haven't even confirmed if it's safe to eat, and you're just giving it to him like that? Isn't it dangerous?!" I anxiously looked at the motionless Haoyang before me. 0

But Li Zhisheng replied, "That plant has already been inside him for a while, and we don't know what the Blood Farmer fed Haoyang. If we wait any longer, he might not make it. We have no choice but to take a gamble now..." 0

With that, he looked gravely at Haoyang, and I dared not say more. I could only quietly stay by his side, patiently waiting for a miracle to happen... 0

Time passed slowly, and after an unknown duration, I suddenly noticed Haoyang's lips twitching slightly. Then he began to cough violently, blood gushing from the corners of his mouth and nostrils... 0
