"You're not the one to tell me this lesson!" A firm voice came from behind me, belonging to Li Yu. At the same time, I felt a strong gust of wind rushing toward me from behind. But at that moment, my neck was tightly gripped, making it increasingly difficult to breathe. Even the hand that had been holding Jiang Ling slowly began to drop, and I could feel the hilt slipping from my grasp. 0

"You, your time is up!" I struggled to lift the corners of my mouth as I looked at the old man in front of me, his hair white as snow. I noticed his brows twitch slightly, revealing his anger. "Good boy, you have guts!" 0

With that, he released his grip on Jiang Ling and raised his palm to strike at my face. As Jiang Ling returned to my hand, even though my consciousness was fading due to lack of oxygen, I instinctively tightened my grip on Jiang Ling and attempted to raise it to stab the old man. 0

However, my body was almost completely drained of strength; even lifting the sword felt like an immense effort. The tip of the sword barely pressed against the old man's clothing and could not penetrate. 0

"Stop your futile struggles..." The old man looked at me as if I were an ant, as if to say that killing me would be as easy as squashing an insect. 0

In an instant, just as his palm was about to hit me, a gust of wind rushed past me with a loud thud. The old man flew sideways away from me, and his hand that had been gripping my neck loosened. 0

"Are you okay?" Li Yu stood beside me. I saw him slowly retracting his right foot, realizing he had taken the opportunity to kick the old man away. 0

"I'm fine, thank you..." I began to cough violently. Li Yu quickly supported me so I wouldn't fall and said, "Just stay back and watch. Unless absolutely necessary, don't act on your own." He patted my shoulder and helped me down to the ground. 0

I nodded in agreement and watched as Li Yu suddenly gathered strength and leaped toward where the old man had been standing, transforming into a gust of wind as he quickly moved away from me. 0

Now standing on the ground, I noticed that the cracked earth around us had been torn into countless pieces by their earlier clash, with deep chasms beneath my feet. 0

"Shen Xu!" At that moment, I heard Death Apostle's voice calling from a distance. He and Li Zhisheng were standing next to Hu Fang and Haoyang, who were still lying on the ground. Yao Long was still clutching his abdomen, half leaning against a large rock. Since they were farther away, they had not been harmed by that last attack. 0

Hearing them, I quickly steadied myself and hurried over in a few strides: "Are you all okay?" 0

"We're fine; we just got scared when we saw that old man grab you," Death Apostle said with concern. 0

Li Zhisheng, on the other hand, was full of confidence: "It's fine; just stay out of it. When gods fight, we should just watch quietly. Although this is only the second time I've seen my father in action, I believe he has what it takes to handle these people." 0

"I hope so..." Yao Long said darkly from where he sat on the ground, his words carrying an unspoken meaning as he frowned and looked up at the sky. 0

I looked up at the sky, which was still dark, but the moonlight and sparse stars allowed me to clearly see the two figures radiating light around them. 0

Li Yu stood facing Fan, and they seemed to be engaged in some sort of conversation. However, since I was too far away, I couldn't hear anything. I turned to Yao Long and asked, "Yao Long, can you hear what they're saying?" 0

Yao Long casually replied, "They're not saying anything." 0

"Nothing at all? Is it possible that after becoming a Void God, they can fight using telepathy?!" I murmured in confusion as I gazed at the sky. 0

Just as my words fell, an unparalleled force surged from above. I couldn't tell if it was emanating from Fan or Li Yu. 0

As the power intensified, Li Yu transformed into a streak of white light and charged toward Fan with a speed that resembled a lightning bolt slicing through the night sky. 0

Then came a blinding flash of white light accompanied by a thunderous boom. Suddenly, the entire night sky was illuminated as if it were broad daylight. 0

"What incredible power," I thought, my heart trembling. For some reason, the Void Spirit within me had fallen silent after the earlier incident. 0

As I pondered this, the white light coalesced into a large white sphere that suddenly exploded in mid-air. I vaguely noticed some yellow light slowly emerging from within the white glow, gradually consuming it until both colors reached a stalemate. 0

Next, the light sphere burst apart in an instant, creating countless specks of yellow and white light. If I didn't know that two Void Gods were battling above, this would have been an extraordinarily beautiful sight. 0

"What... what is this..." A voice beside me broke through my thoughts; it was Haoyang, who seemed to be gradually waking up. Upon seeing the myriad of lights in the sky, he couldn't help but marvel at the spectacle. 0

Death Apostle heard Haoyang's voice and quickly leaned in to ask, "How do you feel?" 0

Hearing this, I hurried over to check on Haoyang's condition while instructing Li Zhisheng to continue monitoring their battle above. 0

Haoyang rubbed his head and slowly stood up from the ground. He brushed off the dust from his clothes and checked the cloth bags at his waist. "I'm fine; it's just... what's happening? Are they setting off fireworks?" 0

"What fireworks? That's just the gods fighting..." Li Zhisheng looked up at the sky, where a series of rumbling sounds echoed continuously. The noise was deafening, and I could even feel the ground trembling slightly beneath me. 0

"It seems I really can't keep up; they are just too strong..." I muttered to myself. 0

Li Zhisheng asked from the side, "What’s wrong? Did you just have a run-in with that old man?" 0

I nodded, recalling the encounter with lingering fear. "Yeah, we crossed paths, but I can clearly feel that I'm no match for them. Even if I poured all my strength into my sword, I couldn't hurt him at all. The Death Apostle is right; Yang Master is truly terrifying... I'm afraid the only one who can stand against him is your father." 0

As I spoke, I realized my neck was slightly sore from looking up for so long, so I decided to stretch it. But just as I lowered my head, I noticed a black strip-like object at my feet. The patterns on it shimmered brilliantly in the light from the fireworks above. 0

"This isn't..." I instinctively bent down to pick it up and discovered it was the cane that old man Fan had dropped. 0

Seeing me holding the cane, the Death Apostle gasped and snatched it from my hands... 0
