"This is unclear," Yao Long said. "However, I find it unlikely that there are two opposing forces at play. Aside from the few individuals who have been trying to stop this, I haven't noticed any other factions emerging." 0

Upon hearing this, I couldn't help but murmur, "That's strange. If there's no one else involved, then who initiated this incident? Moreover, Hu Fang's attack seems related to this... It can't be Yang Master, nor can it be those who are actively trying to intervene..." 0

As I pondered, Li Zhisheng turned to me and said, "Since those people are working to prevent the situation from worsening, they likely aren't malicious individuals. We should be able to approach and communicate with them. Right now, speculating here isn't yielding any concrete evidence or conclusions. Why don't we wait until tomorrow and ask them directly?" 0

"That's true," I replied, glancing at the time; it was nearly two in the morning. "Everyone should get some rest. We'll seek clarity first thing in the morning." 0

After hearing this, Death Apostle and Yao Long nodded in agreement. Everyone then returned to their rooms to sleep. 0

That night, nothing unusual occurred, and I slept soundly until ten in the morning. 0

Upon waking up, I suddenly felt a chill in the air and decided to put on an extra jacket before stepping out of my room. 0

At that moment, Death Apostle and Yao Long were already awake, sitting in front of the television and eating bread. Only Hu Fang and Li Zhisheng were still asleep. 0

Seeing me up, Yao Long quickly finished his bread and asked, "Shall we go find those people now?" 0

"Li Zhisheng isn't up yet; let's bring him along. He might be of some help," I replied as I went to wake the still-sleeping Li Zhisheng. Afterward, we had a light breakfast before heading out with Yao Long towards the area we had previously rented. 0

On the way, none of us spoke; we each carried a sense of unease about what kind of people we were about to face. 0

Before long, a taxi stopped at a blocked intersection where several police officers were stationed behind a barricade. 0

After paying the fare, we got out and stood by the roadside. I asked Yao Long, "Do you have a way to find those people?" 0

"I should be able to manage that," he replied. "But it's a bit noisy here; let's find somewhere quieter first." With that, Yao Long glanced around and gestured for us to follow him. 0

Li Zhisheng and I exchanged glances but didn't ask further questions; we knew following Yao Long was the right choice. So we silently trailed behind him while surveying the surrounding buildings. 0

At that moment, I noticed that this area, which had once been relatively lively, now appeared unusually quiet. The only sounds came sporadically from nearby residential buildings—televisions playing and items being moved around. 0

I wondered to myself, how strange it was that this place felt quite peaceful, yet Yao Long found it noisy. Could it be that his senses were just too sharp? 0

As I walked, I asked Li Zhisheng beside me, "Do you think it's noisy here?" 0

Li Zhisheng shook his head. "Not really, but I know what you're curious about. You're wondering why Yao Long thinks it's noisy, right?" 0

I nodded in agreement. 0

Li Zhisheng glanced around and pondered for a moment. "I think the noise Yao Long refers to isn't the sound of people, but rather the Vengeful Spirits lurking in the shadows nearby. Although I can see them, I can't hear their voices clearly. Perhaps it's because Yao Long has such keen perception that he can hear the wails of those Evil Spirits." 0

Just as Li Zhisheng finished speaking, Yao Long suddenly stopped ahead of us. He raised his hand and pointed to a partially constructed building in front of us. "Look, they're inside that building. However, there are a lot of Vengeful Spirits hiding in the shadows within. I wonder if they will attack us." 0

Hearing this, I chuckled. "Even if they do attack, what does it matter? With you two around, why should we fear those Vengeful Spirits?" 0

"That's true, but it's still wise to be cautious." As Yao Long spoke, he became alert. He started moving forward at a slower pace than before, his eyes darting back and forth as if watching the movements of the Evil Spirits hidden in the seemingly empty high-rise. 0

After a moment, we reached the front of the building. One more step would take us into its shadow; once we crossed that threshold, the surrounding Evil Spirits might suddenly launch an attack. 0

At that moment, I felt a twinge of fear since I hadn't brought my Jiang Ling for protection and couldn't see the threats lurking in the shadows. Meanwhile, Li Zhisheng slowly gathered a Black Sphere in his hand. Perhaps it was due to the sunlight or because he wasn't releasing much power; the Black Sphere appeared faint and flickering. 0

"Are you all ready?" Yao Long turned back to look at us. I noticed he didn't have his Azure Spirit with him either. "Maybe he forgot it when he left," I thought to myself and nodded in agreement. 0

Seeing that we were all on high alert, Yao Long stepped forward and crossed into the shadow. Li Zhisheng and I followed closely behind. 0

As soon as both our feet entered the shadow, I instantly felt a rush of cold air approaching us rapidly in a fan shape. 0

"Be careful," warned Yao Long, his voice tense. 0

"I know!" replied Li Zhisheng, stepping forward quickly and controlling the Black Sphere in his palm before thrusting it out in front of him. 0

With a loud bang, the Black Sphere exploded before him, sending a wave of black mist spreading outwards. 0

Hearing the faint explosion, I couldn't help but feel a tightening in my chest, worried that the sound would attract the attention of nearby police. If that happened, we would have no way to explain ourselves and might even be arrested as suspects. 0

"Hey, Li Zhisheng, try not to use too much power; the explosion might draw the police's attention," I said to Li Zhisheng while glancing back. Seeing that the noise hadn't attracted any officers put me slightly at ease. 0

Li Zhisheng heard me but didn't turn around. He simply raised his hand and made a 'K' gesture before lifting his leg to sweep it forward. 0

As Li Zhisheng took action, Yao Long in front of him didn't dare to slack off. He clenched his right fist, and armor-like scales slowly emerged on the back of his hand, joining the fight. 0

At that moment, since I hadn't summoned the power of the Void Spirit, I couldn't see the ghosts and could only watch helplessly as they battled against the Vengeful Spirits. 0

Suddenly, a chilling wind swept from my left side. I sensed something was wrong; an Evil Spirit was targeting me and was rushing this way. 0

Just as I was about to call out to Li Zhisheng and Yao Long for help, a shadow suddenly zipped past my nose with a whoosh... 0
