Out of curiosity and with nothing else to do at that moment, we randomly chose a room in the hall and walked in to see what other places were like.
As soon as we entered, we found that this building seemed to be constructed within a cave. The central hall was connected by surrounding passages leading to different areas, resembling a cluster of buildings in the mountains.
"It looks like these people are truly skilled craftsmen. Just look at this passage; even though it's clearly a cave, the carvings around it and the decorations make it feel like a mountain palace..." I exclaimed as I walked alongside Yao Long.
Before long, we followed the passage into another bright room. The walls were adorned with exquisite candle holders, each filled with oil and burning wicks.
"What is this place? We shouldn't get lost..." Yao Long said as he looked around. In front of this semicircular room stood something resembling a stone door that seemed pushable.
"Look over there; there's a door! Let's go check it out," I said as I walked towards it with Yao Long.
When we reached the door, I reached out to see if I could push it open. To my surprise, as soon as I touched the stone door without applying much force, it began to slowly creak open with a rumbling sound.
Startled, Yao Long and I quickly stepped back a few paces. Standing still, we saw a dazzling light spilling through the crack of the opened stone door. "What could be inside? Are we about to enter somewhere we're not supposed to?" I wondered in astonishment.
"Since we're here, let's take a look first..." Yao Long said, gently pushing me aside to prevent any traps inside the door from harming me.
After a moment, the large door swung open completely, and we cautiously leaned in to peek inside. The interior revealed a spherical space, with the ceiling curving inward and the floor dipping down.
"Look at that!" Yao Long exclaimed, pointing to the center of the room. I followed his finger, but despite straining my eyes to see clearly, the blinding light emanating from that spot made it impossible for me to discern anything.
"What is it? I can't see anything!" I said hurriedly, rubbing my eyes that were already tearing up from the intense brightness.
"Can't you see? There's a stone pillar rising from the sunken center of the room, and at the top of the pillar, there's something strange glowing! Let's go check it out!"
Yao Long was about to stand up and move closer when suddenly an elderly voice called out from behind us, "What are you doing here..."
Startled by the voice, both Yao Long and I jumped and shouted, "Who!" as we quickly turned around. Standing behind us was an old man named Mo Shu.
"Jujube... no, Master Mo Shu, how did you find us?" I stammered.
"Finding you is easy; I guessed you would be wandering around aimlessly. It's my fault for not making things clear beforehand," Mo Shu replied kindly.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry! We shouldn't have come in here on our own; we truly apologize," Yao Long and I said in unison while bowing deeply.
I expected him to scold us, but instead, he burst into hearty laughter. "Hahaha, it's fine! Since I guessed you would be wandering around, I won't blame you. But since you've discovered this place, let me be straightforward with you."
With that, Mo Shu took a couple of steps forward and supported both me and Yao Long. "Actually, we have several treasures here that protect our domain, and one of them is what you see before you—the Soulstone."
"Soulstone? From the light it's emitting, it really does seem like a Soulstone," I said while raising my arm to shield my eyes from the glaring brightness.
"I can't explain everything in just a few words; why don't you come inside and take a look..." Mo Shu said as he pulled Yao Long and me into the dazzling spherical room.
As I stepped inside, I instinctively thought that such a brightly lit room would be very hot. To my surprise, not only was the temperature and humidity just right, but even the glaring light softened instantly after we entered, creating an incredibly comfortable and unprecedented sense of security.
"Is this what they call the Soulstone? It feels so nice..." I couldn't help but say.
At that moment, even Yao Long, who had been tense before, relaxed. The two of us calmly gazed at the glowing object on the stone pillar in the circular room, feeling an unexplainable tranquility within.
"Do you understand now? This is the Soulstone. It can bring peace not only to your bodies but also to your souls," Mo Shu said to me.

"Its uses are vast. Although you may not need it right now, I believe you will return here," Mo Shu replied as he handed us the Azure Spirit and Jiang Ling.
