At the sound, the three of us instinctively turned to look, only to see a short-haired woman who had silently appeared behind us. She was dressed in simple sportswear, devoid of any unnecessary embellishments, yet her beauty and well-proportioned figure were hard to conceal. 0

"Hey, Gu Kai, from what you're saying, does that mean you don't want me to step in?" she said, casually brushing her shoulder-length hair with one hand while addressing Gu Kai in the distance. She seemed quite indifferent to his injuries, as if she believed he could handle it or simply didn't care if he died. 0

However, there was something oddly familiar about her appearance, especially the tear mole at the corner of her eye... 0

Despite the strange feeling, I couldn't recall where I had seen her before. "Who are you...?" I asked tentatively. 0

She smiled gently at me. "You aren't qualified to know me yet. When the time comes, you'll naturally find out. But will there even be a chance for that?" She looked me over with a hint of disdain in her eyes. 0

Meanwhile, Death Apostle, standing nearby, ignored our conversation and remarked to her, "You two know each other, right? Can't you see he's barely holding on?!" He pointed at Gu Kai in the distance, who seemed to be nearing his limit; his body was starting to tremble under the weight of the massive fist he was trying to hold back. 0

"Isn't he capable of handling this himself? Besides, when he killed that person earlier, he should have anticipated that their death would become a sacrifice for the King of Hell. Isn't this just his own doing...?" The woman nonchalantly fiddled with her nails and continued, "Moreover, this King of Hell isn't the real one. A King of Hell without a host cannot manifest in his true form in this world. So this is merely a partial illusion of him; I believe he can deal with it..." 0

As soon as she finished speaking, unexpectedly, she blew on her nails and turned to leave. Just then, Gu Kai's voice rang out from afar: "Since you're here, if you're not planning to help, at least give me what I need!" 0

"Alright then, since you've asked..." The woman reached behind her and pulled out a pitch-black Ancient Blade that was slightly longer than my arm. The blade was engraved with strange patterns that resembled odd characters more than dragons. 0

Without hesitation, she tossed the blade into the air and then pulled out a palm-sized Cloth Bag from her waist. She threw it into the air alongside the black blade. 0

Our eyes were drawn to what she had thrown, fixated on the flying black blade and the Cloth Bag... 0

At that moment when the blade reached its highest point, Gu Kai suddenly shouted and instantly released his grip on the massive fist. In half a second, he leaped slightly and executed a reverse hook kick, forcefully kicking away the giant fist that was about to fall on him. He then jumped toward the Ancient Blade. 0

The arm that was kicked away by Gu Kai lost its balance and crashed heavily to the ground with a loud thud. The giant, seeing Gu Kai attempting to escape, showed no intention of giving him any chance. It quickly raised its fist and swung a powerful right punch towards Gu Kai, who was still in mid-air. The enormous fist not only came with tremendous force but also moved at incredible speed, closing in on Gu Kai before he could react. 0

Without hesitation, Gu Kai pulled out the Black Soldier from the hand that had been broken. He then hurled it towards the giant's incoming fist. 0

As the Black Soldier was thrown, I vaguely saw a dark green Spirit slowly materializing. The Spirit, wielding the Black Soldier thrown by Gu Kai, charged towards the giant's fist. 0

At the moment the Black Soldier made contact with the giant's fist, the sharp blade instantly sank into the knuckles. Following that, the Spirit collided with the giant's punch, producing a thunderous roar. 0

Seizing the opportunity while the giant's punch was blocked, Gu Kai reached for the pitch-black Ancient Blade in mid-air and grasped it firmly. He then used its edge to slice through the Cloth Bag that followed closely behind. 0

Once the Cloth Bag was split open, a piece of talisman-like paper scattered from within. Observing this, Gu Kai swiftly pierced each of the scattered talismans with his Pitch Black Ancient Blade, leaving them embedded on its surface. 0

In that moment, the patterns on the Ancient Blade seemed to come alive, as black designs gradually spread around Gu Kai, enveloping him completely. 0

Meanwhile, the giant suddenly exerted its strength and roared fiercely, smashing the Spirit released by Gu Kai into pieces. Seeing Gu Kai hovering in front of it, surrounded by strange black patterns, it seemed to recognize an enemy with whom it had a deep-seated grudge and went into a frenzy. 0

The phantom of Yama erupted with immense power, unleashing a gust of wind that swept towards us. I, along with Death Apostle and Hu Fang, struggled to maintain our footing and were blown away, crashing hard against the remnants of a wall behind us, causing stars to dance before my eyes from the pain. 0

After a brief moment, we supported each other and leaned against the wall to steady ourselves. Looking around, I noticed that Yama's phantom now held a massive crimson long knife. 0

The knife was as long as Yama's arm and blood-red as if it were forged from the very blood on the ground; blood continuously dripped from its blade. 0

"Is this just part of Yama?!" I exclaimed in shock while scanning my surroundings for confirmation from the woman who had been there earlier, but she had already vanished without a trace. 0

"What's wrong? Have they disappeared?" Death Apostle asked as he noticed me looking around. 0

I nodded in agreement. "Who are these people, and why are they helping us..." 0

As I pondered, I saw the phantom of the King of Hell raise that enormous Blood Blade and swing it down towards Gu Kai, who was hovering in mid-air. 0

At that moment, even from a distance, I realized that if he were to be touched by it, it wouldn't just be a matter of injury; he could very well be obliterated! 0

I couldn't help but sweat for Gu Kai. Yet he stood there, holding the Pitch Black Ancient Blade, completely unmoving. The intricate patterns on his body showed no signs of change, merely swirling around him. 0

As the King of Hell's Blood Blade approached Gu Kai, I instinctively shouted, "Gu Kai, watch out!" 0

Just as my words fell, Gu Kai suddenly raised the Ancient Blade to meet the impending strike... 0
