Hearing the voice, I turned around and saw Mo Lin standing behind me, holding a Black Soldier. The Black Soldier in his hand appeared to be a dagger, with several grooves carved along the blade leading to the handle, and the tip gleamed with a chilling light. 0

"What is it? Is there something else?" I asked cautiously, positioning myself in front of everyone. 0

"Not really..." Mo Lin replied, turning the dagger upside down and extending the handle towards me as he approached. "You helped me stop my brother from making further mistakes before, and I haven't had the chance to thank you... This is a dagger I made myself a while ago. Due to time constraints, I couldn't make anything too elaborate, so I managed to put together this dagger. I hope you find it useful." 0

Looking at the pitch-black dagger in his hand, its blade shone with a dark luster under the candlelight beside us. The exquisite wave patterns on the handle were incredibly detailed. 0

"You don't need to be so polite. What happened last time was really mutual help, wasn't it? You don't have to..." I started to say, but Li Zhisheng whispered in my ear, interrupting me. "Just accept it; it's his heartfelt gesture." 0

"Alright then..." I sighed lightly and accepted the dagger that had already warmed in Mo Lin's grip. Holding it in my hand, I noticed how lightweight it was, and the patterns on the handle fit perfectly into the creases of my palm when I bent my fingers, making it extremely comfortable to hold. Yet somehow, compared to Jiang Ling's weapon, it felt lacking. 0

"A fine weapon," I remarked casually despite my thoughts. After thanking Mo Lin again, we bid him farewell and entered the secret passage. 0

Before long, we emerged from the dark tunnel. Above us, the bright sun hung high in the sky, yet there was no warmth to be felt. 0

As I used the dagger gifted by Mo Lin to cut through the tall grass ahead of me, I muttered to myself, "Sigh, we're all orphans now. Because of me, he personally killed his own family. Now he's giving me gifts; next time I should give him something too." 0

Li Zhisheng, walking beside me, suddenly looked surprised and asked, "Who are you calling an orphan? That person just now?" 0

"Yeah," I replied. "According to Mo Shu's disciples, they are all orphans. You might not know him; that guy was named Mo Lin..." 0

"Wait a minute! Who told you that?!" Li Zhisheng quickly grabbed my arm and asked. 0

"Last night when things went south, another person named Mo Yu told me about it. What's wrong?" I turned back to look at Li Zhisheng and found him deep in thought. 0

After a moment, he spoke up. "Shen Xu, do you remember how they explained things when they first asked for our help? Mo Lin said that the Taoist you killed a year ago was his father and that his brother was coming for revenge on you. That's what led to all this. Now they're all orphans?! This doesn't add up; someone must be lying..." 0

Suddenly enlightened by his words, I thought to myself: "Right! Mo Lin must be at least over thirty this year; he lost his father a year ago—how can he be considered an orphan?!" 0

"Either Mo Lin is lying, or Mo Yu is unaware of the truth. But regardless of which possibility it is, there's no need for us to dig deeper right now. If we have the chance in the future, we can clarify things then. In any case, there seem to be many secrets within this assassination path, and we will eventually uncover them all. As for Yang Master..." 0

With that, I swung my dagger fiercely, instantly cutting through the tall weeds in front of me, and continued, "I will find a way to eliminate them completely!" 0

"This matter does not currently concern our safety; even if we don't investigate it for now, it won't be a big deal," Death Apostle echoed. 0

As we spoke, we walked further away and soon left Yunpo Mountain behind. 0

Reaching the roadside, we walked along while waving at passing vehicles, hoping someone would be willing to give us a ride back to the city. 0

However, contrary to our hopes, we had been walking for nearly half an hour without managing to flag down a single car. I suspected it was because there were too many of us, making many drivers hesitant to stop. 0

Just when we were at a loss for what to do, a large cargo truck pulled up beside us. The driver was a middle-aged man wearing a somewhat shabby brown leather jacket, with noticeable oil stains on his clothes. 0

After informing him that we just wanted to return to the city, he readily agreed. We happily climbed aboard. Due to limited space in the truck's cabin, I, Li Zhisheng, Death Apostle, and Yao Long had to squeeze into the back seat while Hu Fang sat alone in the front. 0

We rode in silence for an unknown duration until the truck finally stopped near our rental house on the outskirts of the city. 0

After getting out, I thanked the driver profusely and slipped him some money before we all headed home together. 0

Once home, everyone took turns freshening up. By the time we finished, it was already evening. After going out for dinner and returning, we settled onto the sofa to discuss our next steps. 0

Standing by the living room window with Yao Long, I took a drag from my cigarette and asked Death Apostle, who was sitting on the sofa looking at his phone, "Since we're going to find Soul Mirror, we need to know where this mirror is located, right?" 0

"It's been too long; I can only vaguely remember it's in the southeastern part of the country. I can't recall the exact location right now; I'm still checking..." Death Apostle replied nonchalantly. 0

At that moment, Hu Fang was fiddling with the Remote Control at the other end of the sofa. 0

Suddenly, a piercing "static" sound erupted from the already broken television. Looking over, I saw that the screen was filled with white snowflakes jumping around chaotically. 0

"Stop it, it's already broken. Just buy a new one later," I said, extinguishing the cigarette on the windowsill and tossing it into the trash can behind me. I turned to head back to my room, planning to record what had happened yesterday at Shidao in my Sheepskin Book, hoping to erase some of those marks since they were all ghosts. 0

Just as I was thinking, a faint voice suddenly came from the television, mixed in with the chaotic static, saying, "Help... help..." 0

I paused for a moment, then turned to look at the TV, which still displayed nothing but white noise. 0

"Did you guys hear any sound?" I cautiously asked the others in the living room. 0

The Death Apostle looked up in confusion and asked, "Huh? What sound?" 0

Yao Long was intently staring at the snow-covered screen of the television, his expression serious. From Yao Long's face, it seemed he had also heard something from the TV, just like I did. 0

As I pondered this, Hu Fang said, "Look! It seems like I fixed the TV..." 0
