"I am not afraid of death..." The Sun Warrior Leader looked at me with resolute eyes. "What I fear is dying without meaning!"
With that, he charged straight at me without hesitation. The air was thick with Killing Intent, and the powerful aura emanating from the Void God filled the surroundings.
Seeing this, I raised my blade to block. There was a loud clang as the Sun Warrior Leader's heavy fist struck the horizontally held knife in my hand, instantly sparking a shower of black flames.
"I created the Yin Master and the Yang Master; I created all of this. Do you think the remnants of power within you can stop me?" I said coldly, staring at the Sun Warrior Leader.
"Of course, I cannot do it alone, which is why I need friends who once shared life and death with you, the master of this body! Li Zhisheng, Hu Fang!" The Sun Warrior Leader shouted back. "Now's your chance! Attack that woman above!"
At his words, I turned my gaze to Li Zhisheng and Hu Fang on the ground. Li Zhisheng was still lost in sorrow over Mo Yun's loss, while Hu Fang tightly clutched the Soul Sealing Talisman to his chest, his face filled with conflict and unease.
The two of them were momentarily stunned by the Sun Warrior Leader's voice before they looked up. Gulu had successfully blocked two massive dragons conjured by the Void God, but I could sense she was already at her limit. If any external force interfered now, she would be instantly consumed by double Fiery Annihilation.
"Gulu, focus..." I furrowed my brow, but before I could finish my sentence, Li Zhisheng had already leaped beneath Gulu. He clenched his fist tightly, dark energy seeping through his fingers; it seemed he had poured all his remaining strength into this one strike.
In an instant, Gulu let out a scream as Li Zhisheng's attack hit her back. The blow distracted her, causing her power meant to resist Fiery Annihilation to scatter significantly.
Now unable to fend off the two roaring dragons before her, she screamed as one of them swallowed her whole, turning her into ashes instantly.
Seeing his attack succeed, Li Zhisheng tried to evade, but he had completely exhausted the power of Soul Burial and could only let gravity pull him back to the ground. However, he was moving too slowly to escape Fiery Annihilation.
Just as Li Zhisheng was about to be struck by Fiery Annihilation, a figure suddenly flashed by and rescued him from the Dragon's Mouth.
I focused closely and realized that it was Hu Fang who had saved him.
"It seems you are truly determined to fight me to the end..." I sighed.
"Not against you, but against evil!" The Sun Warrior Leader declared as he pushed me back slightly with force and used that momentum to leap away from me.
As he made this move, I had already seen through his intentions. I turned around just in time to see a majestic dragon appear before me, its mouth wide open and two long whiskers fluttering at its sides.
"Though your power is strong, you are far from being able to kill me!" With that, my body trembled as I gripped the Ancient Blade tightly and raised it above my head, aiming directly at one of the giant dragons before me, and struck down.
As the blade fell, a dark Slash Mark appeared in front of me, followed by a fierce gust of wind that sliced straight into the dragon's head.
The force of this strike was overwhelming, even beyond my expectations. The dragon I hit was cleaved in two from head to tail, and the thick clouds above were instantly split apart, revealing the clear night sky once more.
"I'm sorry, Old Friend." With that thought, I closed my eyes and turned around, intending to slay another dragon that had circled behind me.
However, just as I turned halfway, my Ancient Blade was suddenly blocked by a powerful force. "I won't let you easily take down both of my Fiery Annihilations! You will at least take a hit!"
I turned to see the Sun Warrior Leader gripping the blade's edge with both hands. Although he had managed to stop my strike, the immense force had shattered his hands, blood pouring from his wounds.
"What if I refuse?" I replied, shifting my weight and kicking him hard in the waist, sending him flying.
"You don't get to decide!" As he flew away, he shouted out. Suddenly, the remaining dragon appeared before me, now less than a meter away. There was no time left for me to dodge or defend myself.
"Oh no..." My brow furrowed as I instinctively raised my hand to shield myself. But before I could lift it fully, a deafening roar erupted as the Fiery Annihilation struck directly at my chest, exploding into an incredibly bright light.
"Shen Xu!" In that blinding light, I heard Hu Fang's urgent voice calling out, tinged with a hint of sobbing.
Surrounded by the brilliance, her voice pierced through me and caused an unexpected pang in my heart. "Is this... the damage caused by Fiery Annihilation?" Struggling against the pain, I unleashed my inner strength to envelop my body in a protective layer.
"While this blow from Fiery Annihilation won't kill me, if this continues..." Realizing how quickly my strength was being drained by the attack, I concentrated again and gathered all my energy before shouting out loud and releasing it explosively.
In that moment, as my power erupted outward, the surrounding Fiery Annihilation was instantly dispelled.
Gasping for breath, I looked down at the heavily wounded Sun Warrior Leader on the ground. "Is what you're doing really worth it? As the leader of Yang Master that I founded, instead of serving me, you choose to help strangers you don't even know..."
At that moment, whether due to pain or exhaustion from his own power loss, the Sun Warrior Leader could barely speak. He knelt on one knee, panting heavily.
At that moment, Hu Fang supported Li Zhisheng as he walked over to me. Hu Fang glanced at the severely injured Sun Warrior Leader, then looked up at me and said incredulously, "Shen Xu, this shouldn't be your words. If what Li Zhisheng and the others say is true, you are no longer Shen Xu. So I ask you, is it worth it to kill so many innocent humans in your quest to punish those evil ones?"
"There are still many good people in this world who deeply love it. They are making the world a better place through their actions. But what about you? Have you given them a chance?! If all you want is to punish the wicked, then as the God King, go and eradicate all the evildoers!"
"Do you know? Your current behavior is far worse than that of the original owner of this body. At least he wouldn’t casually use his immense power to harm others; he only wanted to protect those around him! But you? Your presence has caused the deaths of countless people, and now you still want to claim the banner of justice to eliminate humanity... God King... ha..."
Hu Fang let out a series of cold laughs before cursing loudly, "What kind of bullshit God King are you?! If it comes down to it, the God King should be Shen Xu, not you!"
Upon hearing this, I shook my head and sighed deeply. "How do you still not understand that what I am doing is not out of my own will..."
Hu Fang had no intention of listening to my explanation and interrupted me directly, "If it's not your own will, then give Shen Xu back to me and go die yourself! Why drag us humans into this!"
