Xiao Qiang's top priority now was to repair all the circuits in the Spaceship House before nightfall. Inside the Spaceship House, there were many essentials they needed, but they could only access them once the circuits were functioning properly.
Wen Kai indeed did not continue to mess around; he called out to Wu Yi and Li Hang, assigning them the important task of patrolling. The weapons for their patrol were the DF1 anti-riot infrared compact Laser Guns from the Heart Chamber.
This type of Laser Gun was designed to be used on the arm, firing projectiles that resembled flames, with great power. A single hit would scorch the surface as if it had been seared. However, internally, it could cause severe damage, and those seriously injured would die within minutes.

"Deal! You must promise not to call me little one, and I will get everything you need sorted out." Amy possessed human-like thinking, which neither Xiao Qiang nor Lin Yu had anticipated. Such intricate design must rely on the heat and sweat emitted by humans to break down detailed information.
Lin Yu marveled at Amy's cleverness; aside from lacking various human cell structures, her intelligence and actions were comparable to those of humans.
Xiao Qiang made an OK gesture.
Amy rapidly turned her head with a flurry of sounds and a flash of light resembling lightning in an instant. Wow! In the Heart Chamber, all the central parts of the Monitors lit up with a bright line flashing...
Amy not only activated all the Monitors, but the entire Spaceship House lit up in a startling blaze at the same moment. Suddenly, the systems of the Heart Chamber began to operate, with the Monitors entering programming mode, beeping with alert sounds as streams of source code and various encodings dazzled the eyes.
However, this was not the key issue. The codes and data on the Monitors were records from previous occupants of the isolated island. It was like an active diary, and what Xiao Qiang wanted to know was where all the personnel from the base had gone. Moreover, the war was over; there was no evidence of any enemy invasion that could have taken them away.
All signs pointed to the fact that the truth should lie within Amy's Memory Repository, but they would have to wait for it to reveal itself. From previous encounters, it was clear that Amy not only possessed cognitive abilities but also exhibited human-like sensitivity. Whenever a topic touched on sensitive matters, it would respond with two words: "afraid," and then automatically shut down its operational systems.

Lin Yu was assisting with Amy's activation sequence, temporarily under the control of Micro Robot Amy. The atmosphere seemed quite harmonious...
Suddenly, near Xiao Qiang's position, a beautiful woman's half-figure appeared in mid-air through a single projection mode of the Monitor. The woman slightly nodded her head in a reserved manner and spoke to him in a pure, three-dimensional voice: "Sir, it's time to eat. Please press the green button."
"Ha, thank you, Amy! I'm really hungry," Xiao Qiang exclaimed in surprise as he looked at the speaking beauty... Only to be astonished when she vanished.
Lin Yu chuckled quietly, feeling a mix of amusement and something else entirely.
Amy explained, "They don't exist; they are just electronic images that linger for three seconds."
Meanwhile, Wen Kai plopped down on a somewhat flat rock about a meter away from the spaceship cabin. "Damn it, this godforsaken place where even birds won't shit! I should have just refused..." As he spoke, his brain felt sluggish. He couldn't remember how he had signed the Life-and-Death Contract or who had met with them.
Wu Yi, who had been keenly interested in DF1's flame Laser Gun, was eager to secretly test its power. He seemed oblivious to Wen Kai's complaints as he focused intently on figuring out how to operate it.
Li Hang held a glass container in his hand; inside it was Wen Kai's pet, a Bloodworm. To be honest, he found it disgusting too, but their leader insisted he take care of it.
He sat with his back to Wen Kai and noticed that at some point, a white liquid had appeared in the glass container... This was his doing; when Xiao Qiang had smashed that worm attached to a skeletal frame with a stick, he had quietly used a scrap of paper to collect a drop of the white fluid that oozed out when the worm burst. Now he was intently observing any substantial changes in the Bloodline Worms inside the glass container.
The worms were not necessarily maggots but were likely a creature very similar to them. Just as Xiao Qiang had suspected, Li Hang also wondered if these worms might be connected to the missing personnel from legends.
The five of them seemed tacitly aware of each other's thoughts while actually pondering over the whereabouts of the base personnel. The fate of these personnel was crucial for the safety of Fourth Group and represented a potentially deadly key issue.
Wen Kai was oblivious to the actions of his two close friends, lazily leaning against a rock with half-closed eyes, pretending to doze off. He was trying hard to recall every detail that had happened in the Fourth Group... but the more he thought, the more irritated he became.
Li Hang stared intently at the glass vessel, feeling an inexplicable heat at his fingertips, a sense of panic rising within him... Suddenly, with a loud bang, the glass vessel shattered, and he felt a sharp pain in his finger as blood began to flow. The glass vessel had expanded in an instant and then exploded!
The Bloodline Worms grew twice their size, no, they were still growing...
Wen Kai and Wu Yi were startled at the same time, turning to look at him in unison, both exclaiming, "What are you doing?" Wen Kai looked furious, glaring as he demanded, "Where's my pet?"
Li Hang focused again on the Bloodworm; it seemed to have vanished.

"Y-your pet is a mutated creature; it... it’s gone."
Wu Yi was stunned. If Lin Yu found out about this, there would surely be consequences. She was the team leader; punishing someone was a piece of cake for her. No matter how domineering Wen Kai was, he wouldn't be able to escape.
"Shh! Let's just drop this matter; we’ll pretend it never happened," Wu Yi quickly suggested with a clever glint in her eye.
