"Is Matt a prophet?" This was the speculation between Xiao Qiang and Lin Yu in private. Neither of them liked to stay in the damp atmosphere of the Stratum, and even faced with the effects of Nuclear Radiation, they preferred to gather under that massive stone when night fell.
Next to Xiao Qiang, there was an air that was incredibly comforting. Lin Yu felt that he had a particularly pleasant and memorable scent.
"Going back to 2030? Isn't that right around the time I was just born?" As Xiao Qiang spoke, he caught a glimpse of something sneaky peering at them from the corner of his eye. He shouted, "Get lost!" The Little Skeleton, startled, opened its mouth to let out a shriek before scampering away.
Lin Yu stretched his neck to catch a last look at the Little Skeleton disappearing into the Dark, then returned his attention to their previous topic. "…If we go back to that era, will it change anything?"
"I don't know, maybe…" Xiao Qiang didn't voice the concerns in his heart. In that unknown world, it was hard to predict what might happen with their intervention.
"Maybe what?" Xiao Qiang hesitated, making someone quite anxious.
"Sorry, I'm not a prophet, so I can't tell you," Xiao Qiang said as he tightened his embrace around Lin Yu's waist. They leaned against each other with a sigh, their gazes exploring the pitch-black night sky. The dark sky resembled an expressionless blackboard—no stars, no legendary glowing bugs, and certainly no shooting stars!
A silence fell over them; it was too quiet. The night wind carried away their warmth, leaving behind a chilling coolness. Lin Yu shivered slightly, prompting Xiao Qiang to quickly take off his jacket and drape it over her. "Alright, let's head back!"
"I really want to know if the world in 2030 will be better than now."
"Unknown variables. I've heard for a long time that Nuclear War happened in 2025, which means by then the Earth had already suffered catastrophic damage. There won't be any good scenery; it might even be worse than here."
"I don't like this kind of silence." Lin Yu stood up and started walking back. They were close to the Nuclear Radiation zone; all living beings had either died or migrated away. Silence seemed inevitable. Suddenly, she thought of a substantial question and wrapped her arms around Xiao Qiang's sturdy arm, innocently asking, "If this world were left with just the two of us, would you be scared?"
"I would."
"Yes, I will too."
Seeing that it was getting late, Xiao Qiang questioned whether Wen Kai would actually reveal the matter of the reincarnation tunnel, and ultimately, it did not happen.
Lin Yu stated that Wen Kai never had the chance to say anything before he was taken away. The more this happened, the more suspicious Matt's actions and methods became.

Matt explained that the Reincarnation Card Key could only successfully enter the reincarnation tunnel under favorable circumstances, where timing, location, and people aligned perfectly. Xiao Qiang's illusion had triggered the Reincarnation Card's entry point, allowing them to successfully move the Skeleton Mutant.
In recent days, Amy had surprisingly become good friends with the Little Skeleton Mutant. While Xiao Qiang and the others were discussing their return to 2030, the two of them were playing happily.
Matt said that when the three of them returned to 2030, their abilities would automatically disappear. They needed to bring weapons from this era for self-defense. He also told them that if they needed help, they should go to the DBL6 experimental base to find Matt from 2030; he would do everything in his power to assist them.
Everything was ready—set for 2050, with a reversal of twenty cycles. With Matt's help, Xiao Qiang found it much easier this time to open the entry point to the reincarnation tunnel. The only one who witnessed him opening the entry point last time was Wen Kai; at that moment, he only saw a swirl of light like a whirlwind, and no one noticed a dazzling beam of light within that whirlwind.

Xiao Qiang was the protagonist who manipulated light and shadow. As he entered, his body spun like a windmill, and he was involuntarily sucked into the light and shadow.
After a dizzying whirl, Xiao Qiang felt his body lose balance and began to fall. This sensation of plummeting felt as if all his strength had been drained away, leaving him helpless and powerless. What kind of unknown world awaited them?
In the year 2030, the DBL6 experimental base remained unaffected by nuclear radiation but was plagued by various forms of pollution and biological mutations. A flash of this memory crossed Xiao Qiang's mind as he fell towards the ground, fortuitously catching himself on a dilapidated guardrail. The guardrail was rusted and battered, and the immense force of his fall combined with his instinctive struggle caused it to give way, tumbling down to the ground with him.
Despite the pain from the fall, he quickly scrambled to his feet. In this unfamiliar environment, his nerve cells automatically heightened their alertness. Lin Yu and the others should have arrived at the ground before him, but as he got up, he found no trace of them. What met his eyes was a scene of devastation—overgrown weeds sprouted defiantly through cracks in the broken pavement.
Buildings leaned precariously; even reinforced concrete could not withstand the ravages of wind and sun, compounded by microorganisms' destruction. Some areas had already cracked open, revealing fissures as thick as a thumb, from which tendrils emerged like ivy's grasping feet, steadily climbing along the walls beneath the eaves. Given the current state of affairs, this place had become a no-man's land. This indicated that after the nuclear war, humanity on Earth had begun to migrate. Some developed countries established platforms in the Galactic System to relocate the remaining humans to other planets.
China's population thrived, accounting for nearly a quarter of the world's total. Even though the death toll during the nuclear war exceeded that of other nations, the proportion of survivors still surpassed that of other countries. Just as recorded in history, those heroic sons and daughters proclaimed: "The Chinese who cannot be killed are countless," proving true that there were simply too many Chinese people to compare.
A large population is not necessarily a blessing; even with one-third of humanity having moved to other planets, two-thirds still languished beneath the stratum, awaiting Earth's revival. Xiao Qiang proceeded cautiously, maintaining constant vigilance because survival was paramount. His brain was in a state of heightened yet tense excitement.
The seemingly tranquil environment made him uneasy. Various thoughts swirled in his mind as anxiety took root within him. Xiao Qiang faintly heard sounds of running nearby; judging by the chaotic footsteps, something must have happened.
