In 2038, a border town in western China nestled between mountains and rivers, basked in the beauty of spring, small yet orderly, with charming colors flashing everywhere. This was the high praise given by tourists who had visited before. However, it had now become a paradise for the Living Dead, who rampantly slaughtered humans.
The man being held hostage grinned maliciously, forgetting that he was also a target of the Bioengineered Humans. He stood there foolishly, wanting to witness the bloody scene of the Bioengineered Humans killing Xiao Qiang, hoping to comfort himself and satisfy his small sense of achievement.
He was the chief designer of the weapon systems linked to these two Bioengineered Humans. Last time, due to a malfunction in the control device, the Bioengineered Humans nearly caused a disaster, ending in failure.
After a long period of modifications and reprogramming, he had yet to see for himself how powerful the attack capabilities of the Bioengineered Humans were. At this moment, a robust young man was about to become the target of their assault, and he felt a surge of delight.

Xiao Qiang had experienced countless battles and understood the principle of remaining still when the enemy did not move. If he fought head-on, he could injure his opponent or even dismantle a Bioengineered Human in no time. However, he would inevitably be turned into a pincushion by the firepower of the other Bioengineered Human. He couldn't afford to fight directly; he had to rely on cunning—these things were not as easy to deal with as those bloodthirsty Living Dead.
He knew that the guy at the door was still waiting for the show and couldn't help but snort coldly as he took a cautious step back.

His dismembered remains rained down like blood from the sky, some even landing on Xiao Qiang, who had been knocked down by the massive shockwave.
The first Bioengineered Human exited, followed closely by a female Bioengineered Human that also stepped out with heavy thuds. Xiao Qiang reacted quickly; gripping his dagger tightly, he lunged forward—swish! Slash!
Five minutes! It took absolutely five minutes for the female Bioengineered Human to become like a petrified statue, frozen in place. First came splatters of dark blood all over her body; then her weaponized arm fell from her shoulder, followed by her legs breaking off at the knees, and finally her neck misaligned as her head detached!

Inside the hospital chaos reigned as Wu Yi created distractions that threw those soldiers into disarray. Random gunfire resulted in several friendly fire incidents where comrades were mistakenly killed; many bore wounds from his long nails.
Blood flowed like an exhilarating drug, akin to an invisible injection of adrenaline coursing through him. It drove him into a frenzy as he uncontrollably craved murder.
Wu Yi's ambushes repeatedly succeeded; countless soldiers fell victim to excessive blood loss from slashed carotid arteries. The fresh scent of blood filled every corner of the hospital; with each drop spilled, his excitement soared higher until he howled like a wolf at the peak of his madness!
Xiao Qiang heard the howling of wolves! His body trembled, Wu Yi!!!
Wu Yi could not be tainted by the scent of blood; that very scent was the source that triggered his wolf-like instincts.
In a frenzy of sweat, Xiao Qiang lost track of the Bioengineered Human and hurriedly changed his approach to search for Wu Yi. He hoped to control him and prevent any further slaughter of innocent people.
The sound of gunfire echoed around him. Xiao Qiang decisively determined that Wu Yi was not far away, but the soldiers firing their weapons were also very close.
He couldn't make a sound and quietly advanced. Each time he calculated how many steps to take, he quickly darted into a nearby hospital room, waiting for an opportunity to get closer.

He turned to look—Xiao Qiang!
"Stop! This is not the place for talking," said the officer dealing with the Bioengineered Human, just as he blocked a fierce barrage of gunfire aimed at them. The officer fell, and Xiao Qiang pulled Wu Yi back into the hospital room.
Seeing Wu Yi's eyes filled with rage, Xiao Qiang was deeply concerned. "Are you okay? No matter what happens, we can't harm our own comrades; they are just like us—human."
Wu Yi lowered his head, trembling as if in spasm; it was clear he was struggling to control his surging emotions.
"We should be dealing with that Bioengineered Human, understand?"

"I think you should stay put; they might not let you go." Xiao Qiang referred to the camouflaged soldiers outside.

The soldiers in camouflage were confused; the Bioengineered Human they were supposed to protect was shooting at them. Even their strong firepower couldn't harm the Bioengineered Human in the slightest, and it was closing in, with the remaining numbers on the verge of annihilation.
Suddenly, a figure emerged from the center of the corridor. He stood still and made a gesture for silence, ordering everyone to cease fire.
With its moving target lost, the Bioengineered Human temporarily halted, sniffing the air for the scent of blood.
The chaotic atmosphere fell silent in an instant as Xiao Qiang focused his authoritative gaze on the Bioengineered Human.
Dressed in tactical gear, the only weak point of the Bioengineered Human was its neck. He twirled a dagger between his fingers and suddenly spun around, flinging it—whoosh! The dagger flew from his hand, aimed directly at the Bioengineered Human's neck with perfect accuracy. Thud! A spray of dark blood erupted from the severed neck of the Bioengineered Human as its heavy body collapsed to the ground, its weapon clattering against the ground with a crisp sound.
The soldiers in camouflage were astonished, secretly expressing their admiration. They quietly watched as Xiao Qiang and Wu Yi left gracefully...
However, they did not leave; instead, they headed to the basement and used brute force to open the sealed compartments. Inside one of these compartments, they found the Initial Clone Specimen.
