The vampire lowered its head and opened its mouth wide, letting out a roar as its forelimbs slid forward. With a powerful push from its strong hind legs, it lunged toward the two of them.
Xiao Qiang pushed Chixia aside, took a deep breath, and with a stretch of his body, he shot out like a bullet, moving as swiftly as a cheetah.
The vampire descended from above with a menacing force.

From the shadows emerged the lord of the city, picking up the Rocket Launcher from the ground and aiming it at Xiao Qiang and the vampire.
Chixia gasped in surprise and quickly snatched the Rocket Launcher away.
The lord would not let this opportunity slip by; he believed that his opponent was merely a woman. Confident in his brute strength, he thought he could easily defeat this Humanoid Sinner. The underground chamber suddenly became lively.

Seeing this, the City Lord and Chixia realized there was no time to continue their struggle. Gathering his courage, he gripped the gun stock he had snatched from Chixia and swung it down towards the vampire's head. His heart raced wildly as his legs trembled; after striking, he ran.
The vampire pursued Eagle City Lord from behind, who was so scared he nearly wet himself.
Chixia seized the moment to pull out a Glow Stick from her backpack and threw it into the distance. The injured vampire instinctively dodged at the sight of light. In that fleeting moment, she quickly picked up a sharp stone from the ground and hurled it—bang! It hit precisely, stunning the vampire and causing red shadows to swirl before its eyes.
Despite this, the vampire continued to launch fierce attacks against them. However, blood continued to spurt from its previous wounds; having lost so much vitality, how could it muster the strength to fend off three people surrounding it?
Xiao Qiang was also exhausted from using his abilities earlier; moreover, the dagger remained embedded in the vampire. He spotted the Rocket Launcher on the ground. Picking it up, he shouted loudly, "Get back!"
Eagle City Lord hurriedly retreated.
Boom! A flash of fire erupted as the vampire's body was blown into pieces.
The three of them finally settled down on the ground to rest. Chixia kept her distance from the City Lord and Xiao Qiang, watching them from afar.

Feeling bored, the City Lord began to draw patterns in the sand with his finger.
"Give me the Blueprint."

The City Lord took out the Blueprint and spread it out on the ground.
Xiao Qiang pulled out his Glow Stick to illuminate the Blueprint. He pressed his finger down on a thick line that had not been stained red with blood and looked up toward the extending tunnel. "This leads out to a small town?"
"It should, but I haven't been to that town."
"Then this Blueprint was drawn by Nalan himself?" Xiao Qiang asked, scrutinizing the City Lord.
"That should be the case," the town lord said, his eyes filled with admiration as he nodded eagerly.
"What other places does this lead to besides this small town?" Xiao Qiang asked, frowning as he focused on a blood-stained route, emphasizing his words.
The town lord seemed to be in deep thought, gazing into the darkness for a while before lowering his head to look at the blurred blueprint stained with blood. He murmured, "It leads to a large city."
"We're probably dozens of meters deep in the Stratum right now. If we keep going down this tunnel, it won't end well," Xiao Qiang said, pointing at the unclear bloodied path. "We should move horizontally; that way, we can get closer to the surface. The exit must lead us outside."
"Should we go back?" The town lord didn't want to stay any longer in the Stratum. Being underground felt suffocating and disorienting, coupled with the murky air that made him feel anxious and restless.
"Go back? How do you know where that vampire came from just now?" Xiao Qiang scoffed.
