"We still need to keep moving, away from danger. That way, humans won't follow us here. Human death is just a process; there's no need to shed tears." 0

Nair's words increasingly reflected her unique qualities in the process of evolution. The Old Version Robot NS.2 Bionic Core had the ability to evolve but lacked the awareness to resist, defend against, or be aware of external invasions. Perhaps this was the reason for J's dissatisfaction with the Old Version Robot, leading to the creation of the Newborn NS.3 robot to address its shortcomings. 0

Unfortunately, one cannot have both fish and bear's paw. After producing the Newborn NS.3, J also created the greatest threat to humanity. The NS.3 robot was even more terrifying than anticipated; after enhancing the linkage with the Bionic Core, it seemed as if they were granted an unforeseen soul—this was the truth that J feared. 0

Of course, aside from Xiao Qiang and Fei Ren, Lao Zhonghuan was completely oblivious to these mechanized and high-tech developments. At present, he resembled a dying man, allowing Nair and the others to drag him forward without knowing where they would take him. 0

The EN Concept Car arrived at the scene after Zhong Xuan and his group had left. On their way, they could not discern the exact location of their target. They only noticed a flock of carnivorous Vultures circling in the sky, which made them feel that something must have happened; where Vultures appeared, there were corpses! 0

As expected, when the EN Concept Car sped toward the area where the Vultures were descending, they witnessed a shocking sight: dozens of black-feathered carnivorous Vultures were pecking at a corpse. 0

A foot away from the corpse was a wrecked police car; it seemed that the victim had crawled out only to be pecked to death by Vultures. Long Lou got out of the EN Concept Car and used stones to drive away the squawking Vultures flapping their wings as he approached to check on the deceased. 0

Zhong Yan's Wife followed him out of the car, her heart racing as she stared at the body. She felt weak and her heart ached as if it were shattering; she was afraid... afraid that the dead man was her husband Zhong Xuan. 0

Long Lou turned to her and said, "Sister-in-law, don't worry; it's not Zhong Xuan..." 0

Her lips trembled as her heart dropped from a great height, and she sighed in relief while nervously asking, "Who... who is it?" 0

"That bastard Zhou Yihai." Long Lou glanced at the Vultures still circling above stubbornly and said, "Let them eat him; Zhou Yihai was killed by his own gun... He must have harbored ill intentions for this to happen." 0

"He? He wanted to harm Zhong Xuan?" 0

"Yes. Sister-in-law, we should leave here quickly; more people might be sent after us." 0

"Uh, should we continue searching?" Zhong Yan's Wife asked tearfully. At that moment, she had no opinions of her own and relied entirely on Long Lou, Zhong Xuan's young partner and most sincere friend. 0

"Yes, we must continue; we need to see people when alive and see corpses when dead..." Long Lou said as he glanced at his sister-in-law whose eyes were brimming with tears. He quickly added comfortingly, "I'm straightforward and speak bluntly, but you can rest assured that our boss Zhong Xuan will be fine; he has a strong fate." 0

"How do you know he has a strong fate?" 0

Long Lou started the car with a wry smile and replied, "Once we went to get our fortune told for fun; we drew a fortune." 0

"Oh, I hope so." Zhong Yan's Wife had no other way to help her husband in danger except to pray. 0

Long Lou was right. Just after they left the city and lost contact with the police station, their superior was furious, cursing himself for not realizing that Long Lou and Zhong Xuan were in cahoots. Watching the robots on the street vanish without a trace, he felt compelled to drive after Long Lou himself, hoping to catch Zhong Xuan in the process. 0

A bizarre and inexplicable chase began. 0

Han Ming and Zhong Neng, riding their motorcycles, could never match the speed of cars. When they tracked down the scene where Vultures were feeding on a corpse, they drove away the Vultures only to find that the body was unrecognizable, save for the police uniform it wore. 0

They got back on their motorcycles, just starting them up when another police car sped toward them. 0

The police car, adhering to protocol, began questioning and inspecting all personnel and vehicles in the restricted area. Han Ming and Zhong Neng had no choice but to dismount their motorcycles and present their identification to be allowed through, but instead of continuing on, they were ordered to return. 0

Indeed, it was Zhong Xuan's superior inside the police car. 0

Han Ming and Zhong Neng exchanged helpless glances and pretended to withdraw from the chase. However, after starting their engines, they shot past the police car like arrows released from a bow. 0

"Wow! Are there really reckless citizens out there?" The chief exclaimed in surprise, quickly turning to instruct his subordinates to ramp up their pursuit of the motorcycle. 0

Zhong Xuan was now like an old man slowly learning to enjoy life. Nair and several robots treated him well; anything available in the desert could be obtained at his request. 0

There were no scorpions here; if there were, Nair would surely catch one for him to eat. 0

Having turned into a lizard, he would eat anything... He wondered if he would ever have a chance to return home. Zhong Xuan squinted slightly as images of his wife's delicious dishes floated through his mind. 0

It seemed that Nair and the others had stopped moving. Zhong Xuan stood up and leaned against a shelter to look into the distance. A solitary platform resembling a factory came into view. In the open space stood a figure dressed in black with a cloak. 0

"Ah, I've found you at last, my mysterious mechanic... Han Ming!!!" Was that really Han Ming? Without binoculars, Zhong Xuan could only get closer to see clearly who that cloaked figure was. 0

When they reached the factory, he shouted, "Goodness! You've hidden yourself well enough that I’ve been running around lost!" As he spoke, he pulled back his hood... revealing a half-finished robot skeleton underneath. 0

Zhong Xuan was stunned into silence. He turned back to look at Nair and saw several robots standing motionless in place. 0

"What is this?" Zhong Xuan's anger flared as he spat out words with indignation, pointing an accusatory finger at Nair. "Is this what you call a safe zone? It looks more like a graveyard for Lao Zhonghuan! Good heavens, how can anyone survive here without water or food?" 0

"Mr. Nair, please calm down. Mr. Han Ming will be here shortly." 0

At that moment, another taller robot emerged from the rusted factory, moving mechanically towards Zhong Xuan. It extended its clawed hand and said, "Hello." 0

Zhong Xuan glanced down at the robot's claw-like appendages and quickly tucked her hands behind her back. "I'm sorry, but I swear I will never shake hands with a robot." 0

The robot ignored Zhong Xuan's expression and slowly stepped closer to the edge of the platform, raising its metallic claw to address her. "This used to be an ocean, filled with beautiful seagulls. Unfortunately, you humans have turned it into a desert." 0

"So what? You brought me here? You can't possibly blame all of humanity's mistakes on just me." 0

"You misunderstand. We need your help." 0

"Help you with what?" 0

"Help us operate the cable car." 0

Zhong Xuan looked at what the robot referred to as a cable car—a thick cable leading to a cable car station at one end. On the other side of the cable was also a desert. What did this mean? Had the robots traveled all this way for a collective suicide? 0
