In Matt's Mutant School, the first lesson was about the formation of black holes and the mysterious white holes predicted in ancient prophecies. This was also a reminder for Xiao Qiang, who was about to re-enter the cycle to carry out a mission. Matt wanted to subtly inform him that if unusual celestial phenomena occurred when the cycle activated, it would indicate bad luck. There was a high possibility he might encounter a tiny black hole, which could lead to being sucked in and then transitioning into a white hole, resulting in him appearing in another strange world that was completely different from his mission.
Having experienced multiple reincarnations, Xiao Qiang remained noncommittal about Matt's words.
Matt didn't reveal to him that the cloud's foretelling indicated this mission was not a good omen. In other words, when he activated the cycle, he would face unimaginable obstacles and uncertainties.
Regardless of the situation, Xiao Qiang couldn't refute Matt and the others as they continued their discussion.
Lin Yu said, "Light is a stream of particles with energy. When an object is illuminated by light, it absorbs photon energy, resulting in what we call the photoelectric effect."
Matt added, "Black holes have immense gravitational pull that even light cannot escape. Hidden within a black hole is a tremendous gravitational field so powerful that nothing can evade its grasp—not even light. This is why anything within the boundary of a black hole remains unseen from the outside."
Xiao Qiang remarked, "If the energy from a stellar explosion continues to be released outward and the cosmic dust vortex intensifies, it could spell disaster because that means a black hole is about to form. If one day a black hole truly arrives, wouldn't that be the end of Earth?"
Matt replied, "Yes, the current situation on Earth is dire, but it's still better than continuous stellar explosions. Right now, human scientists are trying every possible way to remedy Earth's losses and damages, hoping it won't be too late."
He continued, "A white hole is essentially a black hole with time reversed. Matter entering a black hole should eventually emerge from a white hole, appearing in another universe. White holes are special celestial bodies prophesied by cosmic seers; they are the opposite of black holes and are part of the Schwarzschild solution for massive symmetrical celestial bodies."
Xiao Qiang was a Mixed Blood mutant—neither a werewolf nor a member of the Vampire Family—possessing both evil and righteous consciousness and lineage.
Humans sought to harness his energy to change Earth. This mission was arduous and might even be one-way. When activating the time machine, there were no significant changes; however, alterations could occur at any moment.
In just a few seconds, he felt himself spinning and caught a glimpse of celestial anomalies. After a sudden flash of light, meteor-like stones appeared, followed by a swirling black wind emerging from above. Within this wind were remnants of numerous small stars that had exploded.
Xiao Qiang felt as if time had frozen and thought to himself that he couldn't possibly be this unlucky. His body was involuntarily drawn into a black void.
Inside this black void, there was no light; however, he possessed special eyes that allowed him to see changes around him even in darkness. This was a tiny black hole with infinite suction power. The walls of the black hole were entirely composed of remnants from exploded stars, forming an impenetrable barrier.
He predicted his next landing point… A reverse wind opposite to the energy of the black hole began swirling in the center—this was bad. This was what Matt had referred to as a white hole.
Xiao Qiang couldn't just sit back and wait; he needed to think quickly. While spinning, he extended his finger and tightly held onto his box. Guided by instinct, he pressed down on a series of numbers—he intended to set it for 2050 before departure—but after activation, it whisked him away to another location in an instant.
The vast sky was serene yet mysterious as he fell downward. Below him seemed to be an ominous dark forest. With a sudden impact, his body collided intimately with branches at the top.
Numbness enveloped him; he lost consciousness as Xiao Qiang fell from the top of the branches. His figure ultimately vanished from Matt and their Nano Smart Tracker's screen. Lin Yu stared in shock with his mouth covered for quite some time without uttering a word.
"What was that mass of darkness just now?" Wu Yi asked curiously from beside them.
"Unknown object," Matt replied uncertainly. Logically speaking, they should have sensed something due to stellar explosions occurring nearby. He glanced at Yun with an inquisitive look asking her about Xiao Qiang's current whereabouts.
Yun shook her head. "I can't perceive any information about him at all."
"What should we do?" Lin Yu exclaimed, her emotions spiraling out of control as she shouted, "Help! You have to send me too!"
"Xiao Qiang is going to the Ancient Times, not the Post-Century. He needs to understand the past and see if he can change history," came the reply.
"Ancient Times? Oh my God!" Lin Yu clutched her head, screaming in agony, "You all kept this from him and me! What is he supposed to do?" She glared at Matt. "Haven't you done enough experiments on him? Now you're sending him to the Ancient Times?"
Lin Yu couldn't comprehend how it was possible to reach the Ancient Times with Han Ming's time machine, given its designated settings and data—unless... A terrifying thought crossed her mind. "You modified the time machine's program."
This clever girl quickly deduced the outcome. Seeing that further concealment was futile, Matt could only smile bitterly and nod. "Yes, the talent agency modified the time program. The internal system is set up so that regardless of how Xiao Qiang presses the data buttons, he cannot change the destination to Ancient Times."
"..." Lin Yu was astonished and furiously retorted, "You are going too far! How will he come back from Ancient Times?"
"Don't worry about that. The system in the box has set a return time for him. Once the time is up, the program will activate, and he will return to 2050 along with the box."
"Wow, that's a bit exaggerated!" Wu Yi shouted, clearly unhappy with Matt and their unilateral decision to alter the time machine's program. He felt for Lin Yu and pulled her aside. "We can try other methods."
Upon hearing Wu Yi say this, Matt immediately intervened. "The Ancient Times program is a game based on location assignment. You and Lin Yu cannot join."
"Why not?"
"If the game reaches full capacity, the system will delete you both. You know what that means."
"Delete?" Lin Yu's voice trembled as she asked, "Does that mean activating a kill order?"
"Yes. Unbeknownst to anyone, you would die..."
"Alright, Lin Yu, don't worry too much. Xiao Qiang is amazing; maybe he's already safely entered the Ancient Times program. In Ancient Times, he will encounter things and beings that neither you nor I can see."
"I hope so," Lin Yu said, her gaze fixed on the black screen of the tracking device. "Think of a way to find out his exact location now."
"Sorry, we secretly installed the Nano Smart Tracker to monitor Xiao Qiang's safety. No one knows about it. Within our capabilities, it's manageable. Now... so you understand..." Matt said before walking out.
Inside the room, Wu Yi, Lin Yu, and Yun exchanged knowing glances at the screen, hoping for a miracle.
Xiao Qiang felt as if he had fallen into an abyss. When he opened his eyes, he saw a strange creature. This being stood between 5 to 7 feet tall and was very broad. It had a pair of human-like feet and a set of enormous, bright eyes on its forehead. Its head was connected to massive Bat-like Wings at the shoulders. The fur was a dull gray or brown, and it emitted a buzzing sound when flying.
