Damn it! It seems Amayi was right; seeing Mothman truly brings bad omens. I'm going to be eaten alive. With the Saber-Toothed Tiger in front and a trap wall behind, plus the rainwater rising, it looks like I'm done for. Just as Xiao Qiang drew his dagger, ready to face the giant insect in a fight to the death, that damn Saber-Toothed Tiger suddenly leaped over him. 0

Shit! Xiao Qiang's heart raced wildly as the beast climbed up the trap wall and jumped away. Wiping the rainwater mixed with cold sweat from his neck and cheeks, he turned around and climbed up the same path the Saber-Toothed Tiger had taken. 0

After the scare from the giant insect, his legs felt weak and unsteady! Climbing up the slope, his legs trembled as he stumbled along the muddy mountain path to find Old Dada Mishu. 0

Old Dada Mishu was looking for him. "I thought you were done for." Upon seeing Xiao Qiang, he was overjoyed and rushed forward to embrace him emotionally. Old Dada Mishu's wound had successfully stopped bleeding, and he showed no signs of fever. In just a few days, it would scab over. 0

"I almost didn't get to see you again." Tears welled up in Xiao Qiang's eyes; this was a thrilling experience he had never encountered in the future world. The feeling of facing the king of beasts was indescribable. 0

"Are you talking about the Toothy Divine Beast?" 0

"Yes." 0

"It didn't eat you?" 0

"Right." 0

The fact that the Toothy Divine Beast hadn't eaten Xiao Qiang left Old Dada Mishu puzzled. In the minds of the Waji Mountain People, even being eaten by the Toothy Divine Beast would be considered a great honor. 0

"Could this be related to my sighting of Mothman?" 0

"Mothman is an embodiment of evil, filled with dark powers; anyone it targets will encounter misfortune. The sharp teeth belong to a divine beast, a beacon of light in the animal kingdom, exuding immense power." 0

"This is my first time at Waji Mountain. What is this Bloodsucker you mentioned?" 0

"It's a servant of Mothman. It has a pair of black flesh Wings, feeding on... human blood and animal blood." Old Dada Mishu seemed fearful of this Bloodsucker, stuttering as he spoke and shivering involuntarily. 0

Listening to Old Dada Mishu's description, Xiao Qiang realized that this Bloodsucker was actually the legendary Vampire Bat. The saliva of a Vampire Bat has anesthetic properties; anyone bitten by it won't feel pain in that area while their blood is drained. The Vampire Bat is also known as a spreader of viruses; many epidemics are transmitted from livestock raised by humans after being infected by these bats. 0

Speaking of the Vampire Bat, Xiao Qiang suddenly recalled that the International Talent Agency had mentioned sending someone on a mission to Post-Century. Wasn't the Flying Bat just a creature that evolved into its bat form after being drained by a Vampire Bat, becoming a monster targeting human hearts? 0

The Flying Bat was once a warrior. It is said that during one battle, he was attacked by a Vampire Bat, which drained his blood. Afterward, he fell gravely ill, became afraid of people and light, and then vanished from sight entirely. 0

Origin of Humanity The first Head Wolf was also attacked by wild wolves, transforming into a Vampire Werewolf. 0

The International Talent Agency sent him to the Post-Century specifically to deal with the Flying Bat and werewolves. The Flying Bat and werewolves would appear on a particularly dark day, during the full moon, seeking prey for their bloodthirsty evolution. 0

Old Dada Mishu was thinking about Xiao Dadami Xiu. Their target had vanished, and they were unsure if they were on the right path. Not wanting to disturb Xiao Qiang, who seemed lost in thought, he sighed to himself. 0

"Missing home?" Xiao Qiang snapped back to reality, his gaze suddenly catching a wisp of smoke appearing about a hundred meters ahead. "Leader, look." 0

Just as Old Dada Mishu was about to respond to Xiao Qiang, he quickly lifted his head at the mention of smoke. 0

Ahead lay a village that differed from the environment of Waji Mountain. The houses in the village resembled those that Xiao Qiang had helped design and build. Seeing homes with a history of civilization stirred genuine excitement within him; his heart raced as if he were reuniting with long-lost relatives. 0

Without further ado, the two quickened their pace toward the village. 0

Strangely, upon arriving at the village, they found it completely deserted. The silence was eerie. In the open space at the entrance, patches of green plants flourished. Xiao Qiang crouched down to examine the green leaves and realized these were seedlings sprouting food. 0

He looked up at the village and noticed several houses appeared ransacked, with torn clothes scattered chaotically at their doorsteps. Some houses were burning and smoking. 0

It seemed this village had also fallen victim to raiders, and their kin had likely been taken away. Xiao Qiang and Old Dada Mishu entered the first house in the village. 0

Upon entering, they saw food laid out on a stone table. Both were extremely hungry and without hesitation grabbed handfuls to shove into their mouths, chewing vigorously. The food was strange—sweet and sticky. 0

"Delicious," exclaimed Old Dada Mishu, savoring flavors he had never tasted before, licking every crumb from between his fingers. 0

Xiao Qiang recognized the food. "Mmm, it's Corn Kernels." In a future world, he would have scoffed at eating raw Corn Kernels. But now, hunger made everything taste good. 0

They were so engrossed in eating Corn Kernels that they failed to notice figures approaching them from all sides wielding Sticks. 0

Surrounding them were members of the Sun Tribe, their teeth white against skin as dark as coal. Their Sticks differed from those of the Waji Mountain People, as sharp iron tips—called forks—were bound to the ends. 0

They forced Xiao Qiang and Old Dada Mishu into an open area. 0

With a stick armed with a dagger in hand, Xiao Qiang scanned the faces of these dark-skinned individuals warily. He leaned closer to Old Dada Mishu and whispered, "Who are these people?" 0

"They are the Sun Tribe." 0

The Sun Tribe shouted loudly, but the two of them couldn't understand the language being spoken. However, after one of the leaders yelled, the members of the tribe began to stir, looking ready to attack. 0

A roar echoed through the air, shaking the ground. The sound startled the advancing Sun Tribe, causing them to retreat. Xiao Qiang was confused and stood frozen, unsure of what was happening when a Saber-Toothed Tiger leaped in from behind. 0

The Sun Tribe knew that this was a divine beast that had come to the village in search of food due to its hunger. 0

Tension filled the air; on one side was the numerous Sun Tribe, and on the other was a small group of just two individuals. 0

The hungry Saber-Toothed Tiger stood behind Xiao Qiang and Old Dada Mishu. 0

The Sun Tribe dared not act recklessly, helplessly watching as the two intruders faced imminent danger from the king of beasts. 0

Seeing the dire situation, Old Dada Mishu quickly retreated, running over to join the Sun Tribe and leaving Xiao Qiang alone to confront the beast. 0
