The sage exchanged mysterious glances with the Sun Tribe Leader, their expressions tense as they whispered to each other. Finally, with determined gazes, they nodded and approached the two who had just come out of the Stratum.
Amayi spoke to Xiao Qiang, "Vapsin is now the new leader of the Sun Tribe."
Vapsin was Wapu's son. Xiao Qiang was aware of this but thought it had only been a few hours since he last saw them. Amayi and Vapsin had grown into adults, and Jill… had transformed from a graceful young girl into a mature woman exuding charm and elegance; her understated beauty was truly captivating.
He introduced Jill to the somewhat unwell Lin Yu, saying, "This is Jill." Then he turned to Jill and said, "Lin Yu, my Beloved Wife."
Jill had been gazing at Lin Yu but lacked the courage to approach him. True to her name, she was indeed beautiful, radiating competence and a strong presence!
Lin Yu smiled faintly and nodded awkwardly while observing her closely. "Jill possesses an uncommon aura; she is a rare gem of simplicity in this future world. No wonder Xiao Qiang can't forget her..."
Vapsin informed Amayi that Saint's beloved wife had been possessed and needed an Exorcism Ritual to expel the lurking evil within her.
This was a significant matter; Amayi dared not make decisions on his own. He needed to consult Xiao Qiang and inform Jill as well.
Exorcism Rituals were common in Ancient Times, but for Xiao Qiang and his companions from the future world, this would be their first experience.
Xiao Qiang conveyed Vapsin's and Amayi's words to Lin Yu in this manner.
She shook her head in horror. What was the Exorcism Ritual? She didn't understand and didn't want to know. All she wanted was to leave this place immediately, surrounded by these men dressed like primitive savages, their rough manners frightening her.
"We can't just leave like this; it's so rude," Xiao Qiang said, pulling Lin Yu aside. Seeing her distressed expression, he furrowed his brows slightly and reassured her, "What are you worried about? They mean no harm; they are one hundred percent good people."
In truth, Lin Yu herself didn't know what was happening. Her consciousness and thoughts felt completely out of control, and she just wanted to rebel against Xiao Qiang. She longed to be alone, to escape to a place where no one knew her.
With so many people insisting, Lin Yu found it hard to argue convincingly, especially since she didn't understand much about this place. She could only follow their arrangements; besides, Xiao Qiang was still by her side.
Lin Yu tried hard to suppress her rebellious thoughts while doing her best to cooperate with the Sun Tribe's preparations for the Exorcism Ritual.
Xiao Qiang personally helped her change into a garment that resembled a cassock but had no sleeves, carelessly draping it over her. The hem was long enough to cover her boots.
A group of what appeared to be savages from the Sun Tribe donned various fearsome masks, holding torches that crackled with flames high above their heads. They formed a circle around her, enclosing her in the center.
These masked savages faced Lin Yu, mumbling incomprehensible Exorcism incantations as they waved their torches. Their legs moved in exaggerated rhythmic jumps.
At first, Lin Yu found the dance fresh and beautiful! It had a pure natural vibe that almost intoxicated her. But soon after, her body began to react strangely.
As the Exorcism Ritual intensified, the savages jumped more frequently. The crackling flames resembled a fire dragon leaping before her eyes, sweeping towards her again and again before retreating suddenly. Each three-dimensional charge made her break out in cold sweat.
It felt as if a giant worm was writhing inside her, blood coursing through her veins painfully. She was in agony, beads of sweat pouring down her face and body.
Suddenly terrified, Lin Yu screamed as she tried to leap over the spinning ring of flames. Where was Xiao Qiang? Help me! The objects around her became blurred, and the writhing sensation within her surged beneath the surface of her skin, bringing waves of sharp pain.
Suddenly, she clutched her abdomen, feeling a sharp cramp...
The Exorcism Ritual could not allow Xiao Qiang, as her husband, to be present; he was settled in another location. His thoughts were consumed with worry for Lin Yu, and his mind grew restless, as if he could hear her screams, but he was restrained by Jill and Amayi, who stayed by his side to prevent him from going out.
In the final procedure of the Exorcism Ritual, the Sun Tribe would carry the unconscious Lin Yu to the Dragon Tribe Forbidden Area, specifically to Dragon Gate Cave. They lifted her and made their way across streams and through forests, ascending Dragon Gate Mountain.
Dragon Gate Mountain was the highest and steepest peak of the Sun Tribe. From the outside, the cave appeared dark and foreboding. As they approached, it was not difficult to see a large yet damaged spider web hanging at the entrance.
When Vapsin, the leader, reached the mouth of the cave, he suddenly raised his hand, signaling those behind him to pause for a moment.
This was a forbidden area of the Sun Tribe, rarely visited throughout the year. The spider web had been there for some time, but why was it damaged?
The wise elder beside him urged them to hurry due to time constraints. Seeing Vapsin's hesitation and questioning the spider web before them, he quickly stepped forward to explain, "It must have been torn by the wind; look, isn't that a big brother spider up there?"
Vapsin looked up and indeed saw a massive Flower Spider clinging above the web, trembling with each gust of cold wind.
Under the guidance of the wise elder and leader Vapsin, they slowly carried Lin Yu on a wooden plank into the cave. Inside, it was cold and eerie, filled with bizarre stones resembling wild beasts. Unconscious, she remained unaware that this Exorcism Ritual would mark the beginning of her separation from Xiao Qiang once again.
After settling Lin Yu inside, the young wise elder at the back revealed a sinister smile. Seizing a moment when Vapsin and the other tribespeople were distracted, he whispered a prayer: "I have fulfilled your request; may you bless my Sun Tribe to flourish in the future."
