Matt and Wu Yi couldn't relax and return until they found Xiao Qiang. They drove around Dongjiawan and the surrounding suburbs, losing track of how many times they had returned to the Dongjiawan Tunnel. The full moon had disappeared into the clouds and never reemerged. 0

Perhaps it was due to the impending rain, but the sky suddenly cleared up significantly. Wu Yi, who had been staring out of the car window, suddenly caught sight of a black object in mid-air, grabbing a person and flying north. 0

"Hey! Look!" he shouted. 0

"What is it?" 0

"It's a monster grabbing someone." 0

"We can get closer while it's still on the road..." 0

Matt took control of the car, pulling a gun from under his seat and handing it to Wu Yi. "Aim carefully." 0

"No problem." The car sped toward the monster, maintaining a stability of seventy percent. With perfect aim, Wu Yi pulled the trigger, and a sharp crack echoed as the bullet shot forth like an arrow, targeting the creature that was also struggling to fly. 0

The monster was Han Shaoyu, who weighed around a hundred pounds. With her thrashing about, it wasn't easy for her captor to keep hold of her while soaring high. 0

Although Wu Yi's shooting skills were not as good as Xiao Qiang's or Lin Yu's, he was far from being inexperienced. 0

Lin Yu felt the grip on her loosen slightly as she was suddenly released, plummeting like a meteor from the sky. 0

"Oh no! Is she going to fall to her death?" Wu Yi thought he had made things worse and dared not look any longer, pulling his head back... but Matt kept his gaze fixed on the person falling straight down, not even blinking as he stared wide-eyed. 0

In an instant, the falling figure twisted in mid-air and surprisingly landed lightly about a hundred meters away from them. 0

Seeing that the person hadn't turned into a splatter upon impact surprised Wu Yi. He thought to himself that this person must not be human; if not human, then what could they be? He quickly shouted at the dazed Matt, "Start the car!" 0

Matt and Wu Yi had disturbed Han Shaoyu's business; how could he let them off easily? Despite being shot and severely injured, he possessed self-healing abilities and recovered almost instantly. 0

He knew Lin Yu wouldn't die from that fall; he needed to deal with the car trying to escape on the ground. With a dive, a fierce cold wind swept through, and an overwhelming shadow enveloped their vehicle. 0

As Matt turned the car left, a monstrous creature descended from the sky, slamming two massive wings against the car window. It had a terrifyingly fierce head, with glowing green eyes and teeth as sharp as needles. 0

This creature looked just like a bat. 0

"Damn! It's a Bat Spirit!" Wu Yi exclaimed, simplifying the situation by assuming it was merely a Bat Spirit. He raised his handgun and fired, but the Bat Spirit nimbly dodged. "What the hell is this thing?" he shouted. 0

Matt focused on driving, not far from where a person had just fallen from the sky. He wondered if that person was injured or, as Wu Yi suggested, perhaps not human at all. 0

The car screeched with the sounds of brakes, speeding, and evasive maneuvers, each noise piercing and grating. Matt was frantic, unable to hit the damn Bat Spirit again; it clung to them like an unremovable adhesive, truly entangled with them. 0

Lin Yu stood proudly in the middle of the road, staring down the speeding car with an imposing presence. Inside were Matt, Wu Yi, Han Shaoyu, and her father. 0

Wu Yi was the first to recognize that the person who had fallen was Lin Yu. He shouted for Matt to slow down while still trying to deal with the monster. 0

Cold-blooded as ever! Faced with Lin Yu's fury, Han Shaoyu was determined to eliminate these two clueless individuals and ignored her glaring gaze. 0

As the wheels rolled forward toward Lin Yu standing in the middle of the road, Matt felt sweat bead on his forehead from anxiety. Provoked by Wu Yi's anger, he shouted back, "Damn it! I'll take you on!" With that, he told Matt to stop the car and extended his sharp nails in preparation for a fight. 0

He managed to grab hold of something but felt as if he had caught a thin sheet of ice... Hiss! Matt stopped the car while Wu Yi retracted his hand and opened the door, ready to duel with the relentless monster. 0

Lin Yu knew Wu Yi was no match for Han Shaoyu; dawn was breaking on the horizon, and she couldn't hold out much longer. To prevent Han Shaoyu from harming them both, she suddenly shouted, "Everyone stop!" 0

The car halted. Han Shaoyu retracted her wings and returned to her original form—an authentic Alien System Bloodsucker. Upon seeing this ghostly vampire before him, Wu Yi gasped in shock. 0

In this standoff without any strikes exchanged yet, Lin Yu shouted loudly enough to stun him. 0

Under the watchful eyes of Han Shaoyu, Matt, and Wu Yi, Lin Yu approached. Her hollow yet deep-set eyes showed no emotion; her frosty cheeks bore no expression whatsoever. 0

"They are my friends. If you trouble them, I won't survive either," she threatened Han Shaoyu. Ignoring her cold indifference, she turned to Wu Yi and Matt and said, "This is my father, Han Shaoyu." 0

"Han Shaoyu?" Matt gasped inwardly. Rumor had it that he was a descendant of the Flying Bat? How could Lin Yu possibly be his daughter? He glanced at Wu Yi, who wore an equally shocked and confused expression. 0

Han Shaoyu glanced at the sky with a cold, indifferent gaze and said to Wu Yi and Matt, "We must return before dawn." 0

"I just want to talk to them for a moment," Lin Yu's request was reasonable, and Han Shaoyu had no reason to refuse. No matter what happened, he couldn't lose his temper in front of her. Besides, they were two grown men; if it came to a fight, he could easily retreat unscathed. 0

Wu Yi stared at Han Shaoyu with hostility. 0

Lin Yu motioned for Matt to step aside to speak. 0

Turning her back to Han Shaoyu, she spoke softly, "I am a vampire and unworthy to be with you or to be his lover anymore. However, I promise you that I won't be bloodthirsty. Also, Han Shaoyu has ulterior motives and may pose a threat to the leaders of humanity; he wants to become the ruler of Earth." 0

Matt dared not speak, but he firmly remembered Lin Yu's words. 0

Lin Yu chose not to raise her voice because she feared Han Shaoyu might use bloodlust to validate her claims. Speaking softly was like presenting a blank sheet of paper, making it impossible for anyone to guess its meaning. 0

The leaders of humanity, heads of various national alliances, were gathered in Kyoto. If vampires were to attack, it would be disastrous. If what Lin Yu said was true, then he and Wu Yi had work to do. 0

Han Shaoyu left with Lin Yu. He certainly wouldn't let Matt and Wu Yi off easily; however, with dawn approaching, he couldn't risk abandoning his newly recognized daughter for the sake of killing two seemingly insignificant humans. 0
