Chu Xiong hoped that Matt would keep the information extracted from JD Member and Wildfire's mind a secret, especially since it was classified and could not be leaked. This secret was crucial to understanding whether humanity had a chance to rise again after facing catastrophic misfortune.
At this point, Matt began to question Chu Xiong's identity. His expertise with firearms and his demeanor seemed completely mismatched with his current profession.
Under the pressure of Matt's aggressive demeanor, Chu Xiong had no choice but to reveal the truth. He was a retired military officer who had returned to his old profession in biochemical and biology research due to health reasons.

On one hand, he secretly tracked the information from the reporting calls; on the other hand, he dispatched personnel to search for abnormal signals detected by magnetic sensors.
The abnormal signals came from a waterfall pool behind the ruins of Chenjiaping. When they arrived, they happened to see someone lying by the pool. Strangely, this person had a heartbeat but remained in a state of unconsciousness.
The person unexpectedly found by Chu Xiong was Xiao Qiang.
Currently, Xiao Qiang needed to search for clues at the Chenjiaping pool. He had no idea what kind of drug Li Hang had put in his drink, so potent that it caused his memories to become chaotic, preventing him from recalling past events.
Several times, Matt couldn't help but want to tell him that it was Chu Xiong who tampered with his Memory Repository, causing his memories to become jumbled. However, recalling the advice that this was classified information that could not be leaked, he refrained from saying anything further.
"Lin Yu, you remember her in your sleep," Wu Yi prompted from beside him, followed by elite soldiers assigned by Chu Xiong. This group of elite soldiers were all veterans who had returned home due to physical disabilities.
The 20-member Extraterrestrial Beings elimination team was managed by Xiao Qiang. Wu Yi served as his deputy, while Matt transitioned from scientist to strategist, which felt quite fresh and exciting.
However, this novelty did not last long before major trouble arose. Xiao Qiang sensed Lin Yu's information near the pool, but the signal was blocked right at the water's edge. What did this indicate?
It meant that after Xiao Qiang was unexpectedly rescued, another group had also intercepted information coming from him and rushed over quickly—only to arrive a moment too late.

Xiao Qiang connected with Chu Xiong and shared everything he had sensed.
Chu Xiong immediately joined the search for clues, accessing the Sky Net surveillance system and starting from the most basic levels. He looked into which parties might have sheltered or unlawfully detained Wildfire's wife and friends, but found nothing. It appeared that this group of unidentified individuals was certainly not benevolent!
He searched through all known alliance factions, including important confidential organizations like the International Alliance Talent Agency, but there were no leads on these individuals. It seemed that Lin Yu and Li Hang had fallen victim to dark forces, which was Xiao Qiang's preliminary conclusion.
Currently, the only option left was for Xiao Qiang to strive to capture any information regarding Lin Yu, though this endeavor felt hopeless. The girl hesitated, her words caught in her throat. After gathering her courage, she finally said, "Last night..."
The boy couldn't wait for her to finish and quickly interjected, "Weren't you satisfied with last night?"
The girl blushed and shot him a playful glare before giggling and running away.
The man was taken aback and hurried to chase after her...
In this moment, filled with sorrow and longing, Xiao Qiang's heart felt utterly out of place in the bustling city. He silently prayed, wishing for her safety and hoping for a message from her.
"Lin Yu, where are you? Lin Yu, where are you? Lin Yu, where are you?" This was a tender call, a voice that seemed to guide one into a warm harbor; a voice that could relieve fatigue and immerse one in beautiful memories. It was a voice that resonated deeply within the soul, filling the heart with emotion and joy.
This voice continuously echoed in someone's mind, even though she was forcibly frozen inside a cryogenic chamber. The intimate call awakened her from her frozen state, ringing in her ears.
Suddenly, she opened her eyes. Her bewildered gaze pierced through the glass of the chamber as she struck it with her fist. The pain in her palm was slight, but the glass shattered instantly. She rolled out of the Cryogenic Chamber, and a mist filled the entire laboratory.
Naked and curled up on the ground, it took her a while to adjust to the surroundings. Looking around, she saw her clothes in a standing wardrobe. She got up, still hearing the calls from her memories echoing in her ears.
She was Lin Yu, referred to here as Experiment No. 01. Her awakening triggered the infrared monitoring system in the room, setting off alarms. Outside the laboratory, panicked personnel shouted as they grabbed their weapons and rushed towards Experiment No. 01's lab.
In the monitoring room, the lead researcher for Experiment No. 01 stared intently at the naked woman in the lab and barked orders at his subordinates: "Quickly strengthen the interception! Immediately search for the whereabouts of Experiment No. 02."
"Experiment No. 03 is stable," another assistant said frantically as he pressed buttons, releasing more hallucinogenic gas into Experiment No. 01's lab. Only this gas could control her and induce sleep under its medicinal effects.
