“How did the Earthlings deal with the Blue Star Biologicals? Otherwise, how could they have provoked their extermination?” Lingfeng's unexpected question interrupted Xiao Qiang's thoughts.
“No, the Blue Star Biologicals are not afraid of our past; they fear our future.”
“(⊙o⊙)….”
“Is that Robot Cat...?” Xiao Qiang implied whether Rajiv needed to eat like other beings.
Lingfeng explained that Rajiv was not a pure Robot Cat but an elf from Polar Island. Both he and Ajima came from Wandering Colony Star, sharing the same background, having never seen what their parents looked like.
“Ajima isn’t the child of aliens and Earthlings, is he?” Xiao Qiang asked cautiously, glancing towards Ajima's bedroom.
“NO.” Lingfeng smirked, a hint of a smile or perhaps self-mockery playing at his lips. “By your logic, I must also be a Mixed Blood species from the Alien System?”
“Hahaha, just kidding.” Xiao Qiang laughed, playfully patting Lingfeng on the shoulder. “Let’s take a break!”
“Yeah, let’s rest! We’re hidden in such a desolate place; there shouldn’t be any unusual occurrences.” Lingfeng shut all energy valves, and in an instant, the spaceship turned into a lifeless hunk of metal. He reminded Xiao Qiang, “Remember to cover the entrance when you crawl into your sleeping bag. Once the ship stops its energy operation, the temperature will drop significantly.”
“OK.” Xiao Qiang replied in the dark.
Lingfeng activated a button carbon filament lamp, its light reflecting off his eyes, revealing a fleeting glimmer of something unusual. He cursed inwardly: Damn it, I’ve run half the Galactic System and still can’t earn their trust.
No matter how far apart they were, they would always be concerned for each other because they shared a belief—to be together every day in the future. Yet some emotions could be shattered by fragile reality...
There are 125 billion star systems in the universe, each containing about 100 billion stars. This is just a tiny fraction of it; the vastness of space is immense. No one knows how many star systems exist in total—so many that it can leave one dizzy and breathless. To search for lost humans from Earth aboard the Mother Ship among such countless star systems is akin to finding a needle in a haystack.
Xiao Qiang lay with his head resting on his arms, tossing and turning in sleeplessness. The shadow of Lin Yu, the innocent laughter of children, and Wu Yi’s unwillingly widened eyes flashed before him. The story of this individual was convoluted and intriguing; he felt a stir in his heart at the emotional parts but sensed something was amiss.
But he was Kyle’s recommendation! Was it really right to doubt him? A chill enveloped him. Instinctively adjusting his sleeping bag, he left his head exposed.
This was Polar Star System, extremely cold. Even wrapped entirely in his sleeping bag, he still felt cold! Once fatigue relaxed his weary body and mind, drowsiness crept up on him unnoticed.
A vivid sensation washed over him as a delicate figure appeared in his consciousness. She was perfect, with golden hair cascading over her shoulders and fair skin glowing enticingly.
She came for Xiao Qiang, leaning down to plant a maternal kiss on his forehead. The warmth of the moment stirred something deep within him; in his daze, he did not resist but reached out to grasp her cool arm.
She seemed to understand without objection, casually slipping into the sleeping bag beside him.
Their bodies were smooth and close together, with no distance between them. The sleeping bag was spacious enough, and Xiao Qiang felt a fleeting sense of relief, momentarily mistaking her for Lin Yu.
"When did you become a golden-haired beauty?" he whispered near her ear, his breath warm against her skin. She remained silent, twisting in the sleeping bag like a Spirit Snake.
Her boldness made Xiao Qiang uncomfortable.
The woman's assertiveness stripped away any semblance of innocent modesty, compelling him to interrupt her advances. "Wait, who are you?"
She still did not respond but slowly crawled out of the sleeping bag. Glancing back at Xiao Qiang, who was still inside, he could see her clearly in the dark with his exceptional night vision. Her golden curls framed a stunning face, accentuating the captivating allure of her phoenix-like eyes.
"Who are you?" Xiao Qiang demanded as he emerged from the sleeping bag, clad in his temperature-regulating pajamas.
Throughout it all, the mysterious woman remained silent, continuing her teasing gestures that pushed the limits of his masculinity. Unable to withstand her allure any longer, Xiao Qiang lunged forward and pinned her against the cold wall of the spaceship, forcing a kiss upon her.
Her smile was intoxicating as she lifted the hatch behind him. A rush of frigid air surged in, stirring her beautiful golden hair.
"Ah!" Xiao Qiang felt a chill pierce through him; his lower abdomen turned icy. "What kind of monster are you?" As soon as he uttered the question, she leaned in closer, soft and warm, kissing him gently while swallowing his words in a tender embrace.
Her assertiveness frightened him; yet in this situation, no one could resist. Xiao Qiang closed his eyes slightly in enjoyment as she ignited a fire within him... A faint sound resembling something breaking free startled him into opening his eyes.
What the hell! He was taken aback—was this an illusion or something? Such a horrifying scene couldn't possibly be real; it had to be a nightmare!
The beautiful woman who had just been before him transformed into something monstrous in an instant. Her flat abdomen bore a hole from which countless serpent-like creatures emerged.
"Monster!" Xiao Qiang shouted as he forcefully pushed aside the delicate body pressing against him. With that motion, he jolted awake from the nightmare, drenched in sweat from the chilling environment that had invaded his dreams.
He raised his finger, still feeling the cool sensation that lingered at his fingertips. Was it a dream or an illusion? Xiao Qiang suddenly recalled Lingfeng's reminder to tightly wrap his sleeping bag before going to sleep. Did he know something was going to happen?
It seemed unnecessary for him to question Lingfeng; the moment he heard the noise, Lingfeng had already gotten up to check on him.
"Hey, buddy? Are you okay?"
Xiao Qiang forced a smile, saying, "I'm fine." But inwardly, he thought, how could I be fine? I almost lost my composure in that illusion.
Lingfeng remained skeptical of his words as he approached. "I've activated the ship's energy. Now tell me what just happened."
"I dreamed of a woman who didn't seem human." Xiao Qiang spoke with a hint of shame, lowering his head and unable to continue.
"Polar Phantom?"
"What do you mean?"
Lingfeng looked up, his gaze piercing through the ship's exterior. He spoke with a deeper meaning: "This is Polar, a place where Blue Star Lifeforms cannot enter. Don't you want to know why the so-called overlords of the star system, the Blue Star Biologicals, dare not enter this Polar Star System?"
