From the rooftop, Shasha watched as the police loaded the charred Quinn onto an ambulance. She turned to Blade, who showed no sign of moving, and asked with a strange expression, "When are you planning to make your move? That guy doesn't seem completely dead yet. Aren't you worried about more people getting bitten? It may not matter to you, but those are lives at stake." 0

Blade seemed completely unconcerned, spreading his hands and replying nonchalantly, "In San Francisco, on average, someone becomes a vampire every day—some willingly, some not. If I tried to save everyone, I'd be overwhelmed. The only way to stop vampires from being born is to eliminate the root cause." 0

Shasha had no response to that. Her memory suggested that Quinn had bitten a blood expert named Jian Kailin in the morgue, and she knew that she and Blade would have some connection afterward. 0

Shrugging her shoulders, Shasha decided not to dwell on it since Blade didn’t care. 0

After a while, Blade finally prepared to move, with their destination clearly set for the city morgue. 0

By the time they arrived at the morgue, it was around 1 AM. This was likely when Jian Kailin was bitten. As they approached the place where Quinn was kept, a strong smell of blood wafted through the air. 0

Shasha and Blade exchanged glances before pushing the door open. Inside, they found Quinn, resembling a charred corpse, biting into Jian Kailin's delicate neck and greedily drinking fresh blood. 0

At that moment, Shasha noticed a subtle change in Blade's expression; it seemed he had been touched by something. But as quickly as it appeared, his anger became impossible to hide. 0

Suddenly, Shasha understood—Blade must have been reminded of his mother, who had been attacked by a vampire before he was even born. 0

"Let her go, or you know what will happen!" Blade said coldly as he aimed his gun at Quinn's head. 0

Quinn looked up from Jian Kailin's neck and sneered, "I wouldn't believe a word you say." 0

"Do you think you have a choice? You’re facing more than just me!" Blade retorted with a cold laugh. 0

Quinn froze at those words. He had observed Shasha and Blade's earlier actions; although he didn't know where this formidable ally of Blade had come from, it was clear that his situation was perilous. 0

After thinking for a moment, Quinn released Jian Kailin, letting her fall to the ground. Just as he was about to speak, a bullet flew toward him, causing him to curse in shock, "You bastard! You're so untrustworthy!" 0

The bullet struck Quinn's arm, and with a loud explosion, his left arm was severed at the elbow. 0

"I never claimed I would be merciful to a vampire," Blade scoffed, raising his gun once more. 0

At that moment, Quinn certainly wouldn't sit still and wait for his fate. He turned to the window of the room and charged toward it, knowing he wouldn't die from the fall. 0

However, just as he was about to break through the window and escape, another shot hit him in the back—this time it was a regular bullet. 0

As Quinn shattered the window and fled, Blade was about to pursue him when Shasha, who had fired the shot, stopped him. He looked at her with suspicion. 0

"You think I shot for no reason?" 0

Her rhetorical question caught Blade off guard for a moment before realization dawned on him. "You planted a micro-tracker?" 0

Shasha nodded. "That guy will lead us to Daken. Right now, you need to think about what to do with this woman." 0

Blade glanced down at the already unconscious Jian Kailin, rubbing his temples in frustration. 0

Afterward, the two broke through the police blockade and returned to the repair shop. 0

When Whistler saw Jian Kailin unconscious in Blade's arms, his expression changed dramatically. He hurriedly instructed Blade to lay her on the workbench before turning to go inside and retrieve the serum that suppressed the vampire virus. 0

Once he completed this task, Whistler sighed. "She only has until seven o'clock. If we can't find the virus serum by then, she'll turn into a vampire." 0

"The virus serum is only possessed by members of the Blood Clan Council. It’s ridiculous that vampires produce something to suppress their own virus, but to ensure the purity of their bloodline, they inject this into their victims while feeding on their fresh blood to prevent them from turning into vampires." 0

Hearing Whistler's words, Shasha couldn't help but scoff. "If they truly cared about maintaining purebloods, there wouldn't be lunatics like Daken." 0

"These second-generation vampires are the reason they are producing these Serums," Whistler revealed the hidden information behind these events. 0

Shasha looked at the silent Blade and asked, "So, have you decided to talk to the Blood Clan Council, or are you going to confront Daken directly? That thing has already tracked Quinn's location." 0

Upon hearing this, Blade lowered his gaze to the unconscious Jian Kailin. Her face made him hesitate. After a moment, he finally sighed, "Let's go find Gottano." 0

Gottano was the leader of the Blood Clan Council, a pureblood vampire who had survived for at least a thousand years. He believed that vampires and humans must coexist peacefully to survive; otherwise, vampires would face extinction. 0

As it turned out, he was indeed right. If Daken continued to cause trouble, others would eliminate the blood clan without Blade needing to intervene. After all, Marvel was never short of powerful beings, especially those who liked to meddle in others' affairs. 0

Thus, the next day, Shasha followed Blade to the headquarters of the blood clan. 0
