As Shasha was meticulously checking the Hills, another figure stealthily slipped into the area.
This person was similar to Shasha in approach, but far more skilled. In less than half an hour, she had infiltrated the military camp, as if she had undergone similar operations before and had practiced extensively.
She made her way through the military zone to where Hills was located, letting out a sigh of relief. "Good thing I simulated this a few times."
Just as she took a few steps, she paused, her expression turning to surprise. "Is someone else here?"
Quickly, she concealed herself nearby as a figure in a black cloak came into view.
"Someone got here before me?" The cloaked figure frowned at the footprints on the ground.
Noticing this, the second arrival felt a jolt of panic; she feared being discovered by this person.
"Forget it; the main task is more important." After hesitating for a moment, the cloaked figure murmured and moved away.
Once the cloaked figure had left, the second person emerged from her hiding spot, puzzled. "Who was that?"
Meanwhile, at Hills, three parties had gathered. The fastest among them, Shasha, had already locked onto three locations. Just as he was about to check the third-to-last one, his super senses detected an additional presence nearby.
Huo Ran turned around as a gust of wind lifted his robe, revealing another figure heading straight for Hills.
"Oh no!" Shasha suddenly realized; this person was an assassin aiming to kill Magneto.
With that thought in mind, Shasha immediately chased after them, disregarding the fact that another presence had appeared in his perception.
Outside the Plastic Prison, the figure in the black robe flickered and effortlessly bypassed all obstacles to reach the interior of the prison.
The guards seemed oblivious to his presence, walking past him as if he were invisible.
Thus, the figure in the black robe stood before Magneto, quietly observing him.
Sensing something, Magneto slowly raised his head. He was momentarily taken aback by the sudden appearance of this figure, but then he relaxed. "It's you. It seems that woman doesn't want me to live."
"After all, as long as you are alive, the Brotherhood will not fall into the hands of our master. Therefore, you must die," the figure in black said calmly, his tone reminiscent of an old friend reminiscing. "You could have risen above our master, but your arrogance rejected that opportunity."
"I disdain to hold power that comes so easily," Magneto scoffed. "Besides, you all underestimate that guy too much. Do you really think he has died due to your schemes?"
The figure in black trembled slightly at these words and after a moment replied softly, "You almost misled me. That person is dead beyond any doubt. And it is time for you to join him."
A blade forged entirely of flame coalesced in his hand, ready to pierce the heart of the smirking Magneto.
Just before the blade could make contact, it seemed to encounter some overwhelming force and shattered into sparks.
Confused by this turn of events, a mocking voice came from behind the figure in black. "Almost didn't make it in time. How's it going, old man?"
The term "old man" had only been used by one person to address Magneto before. In the past, it would have enraged him, but now it resonated differently.
"I'm not dead yet, but this guy is somewhat troublesome," Magneto coldly regarded the figure in black.
Unfazed by Magneto's glare, the figure in black slowly turned around to face Shasha. "I know you, Liquid Snake. The master values you highly. If you do not stop me, perhaps we can become colleagues."
"I'm sorry to decline the Black Queen's kind offer; I have no interest in joining the Hellfire Club," Shasha shrugged.
"Is that so? What a pity," a sigh escaped as the figure in black robes lunged forward, wielding the Flame Blade like a whip.
Shasha stood firm, not flinching or dodging. The Flame Blade could take a life in the hands of an ordinary person, but for him, such an attack was merely a tickle.
Vibration surged forth, rippling from his iron fists. The black-robed figure's attack was almost immediately neutralized, causing his brow to furrow deeply.
As the Vibration intensified, the Plastic Prison began to crack under the strain.
The guards were alerted and rushed to the scene, but before they could enter the containment area, they were struck by the residual shockwaves, suffering from Concussion.
A wail sounded as alarms blared. The guards outside the prison were finally stirred into action. With orders being issued, they readied themselves, waiting patiently for Shasha and his companions to appear.
Seeing that things were turning dire, the figure in black robes twisted and vanished into thin air.
With the enemy retreating, Shasha grabbed Magneto and dashed toward the exit. Just as he was about to step out of the prison, he felt a strong wind at his back and instinctively raised his hand to shield himself.
Bang!
The unexpected force pushed Shasha back a step. When he focused his gaze, he saw a familiar figure looking at him in surprise. Her expression suggested she recognized him but was hesitant to be sure.
It was none other than Black Cat—Felicia—who had been missing for months.
She had never seen Liquid Snake before, and Shasha had not told her that Liquid Snake was her other self. However, the brief encounter just now had given her a sense of familiarity that seemed to come from Shasha.
After a moment of silence, Felicia coldly asked, "What is your relationship with Samal?"
Shasha naturally would not easily reveal this second identity, so she shook her head, indicating that she did not know the so-called Samal.
Felicia showed a hint of disappointment on her face but quickly returned to her icy tone. "This is my mission, and I do not wish to cause unnecessary trouble."
She was here to rescue Magneto?
Shasha was puzzled. It seemed that Felicia's skills had improved significantly over the past few months. The Felicia she remembered did not possess such strength; it was clear that she had undergone special training or perhaps taken some genetic enhancement drugs.
"I'm afraid I cannot accept your request. He is also my mission target."
