Who dares to say that Odin is weak?
In the movie, Odin's presence is diminished, making him appear like a frail, aging king, all majesty with no real power. However, in reality, the abilities of this All-Father can only be described as extraordinary!
With just a slight tap of his staff, Asgard seemed to fall into a state of suspended time.
Are Thor and Loki impressive? One is the God of Thunder, the other the God of Mischief, but under Odin's command, they appeared as weak as children.
Watching the two frozen in place, Shasha approached, knowing that the situation was now under control.
The post-war Asgard was no longer prosperous; the once magnificent palace had turned into ruins.
Yet within the Inner Hall, there were no signs of invasion. All those who had not sacrificed themselves gathered here, awaiting the words of their All-Father, Odin.
‘Thud’
With a light tap of his staff, a deep voice silenced all commotion.
"For millennia, Asgardians have endured countless hardships and defeated numerous foes to achieve our current prosperity. Everything we see before us has been earned by the sacrifices of brave warriors," Odin said, surveying the solemn warriors with an expression of regret. "I, the All-Father, King of Asgard, Odin, stand here to apologize to you."
Hearing Odin's post-war reassurance, Shasha couldn't help but give a thumbs up. Regardless of whether his emotions were genuine, when it came to rallying the spirits of warriors, no one in Asgard could surpass him. He could clearly feel the previously restless hearts beginning to settle. After all, all this turmoil stemmed from the rivalry between his two sons for the throne.
"Thor, my son."
Upon hearing Odin call his name, Thor stepped forward. The son who once caused Odin so much trouble had become his pride.
"You have saved Asgard from peril and understood the qualities a king should possess. From this moment on, you shall be the future king of Asgard."
If this had been in the past, Thor would have been overjoyed to hear such words. But now, his reaction was rather subdued.
Odin's face showed a look of relief as he remained calm and composed. However, when his gaze shifted to another son, he clearly saw the resentment and disappointment in Loki's eyes, which made him sigh involuntarily. "Loki."
Two warriors brought the bound Loki forward, awaiting Odin's judgment.
"You have led the Frost Giants into Asgard and opened the Rainbow Bridge without permission, resulting in countless sacrifices among the warriors of the realm. You are sentenced to exile, and the sentence is to be executed immediately!"
Filled with hatred, pain, and regret, both Thor and Loki were his most beloved sons. Yet now, he could only watch helplessly as his son was taken to the Rainbow Bridge.
Hearing a faint sob nearby, Odin patted his wife Frigga's hand.
As for the fate of his two sons, it ended there. Suddenly, Odin spoke up, "Friends from Midgard."
Shasha initially did not react upon hearing this until everyone around him turned to look at him, prompting him to respond.
"Friends from Midgard, I thank you for your help with Thor, which has spared Asgard from further sacrifices."
Shasha slightly bowed. "I was merely in the right place at the right time."
Odin smiled slightly and then said meaningfully, "Regardless, I sincerely express my gratitude to you. To show my sincerity, I will allow you to make one reasonable request."
Shasha's heart stirred as he blurted out his true intention. "I wish to obtain the method of soul division!"
He thought such a power would be trivial for Odin; however, he was surprised to see a troubled expression on Odin's face.
Seeing this reaction made Shasha's heart sink. Then he heard Odin say, "To be honest, I cannot fulfill that request. The realm of souls is not something I can touch at this moment."
Shasha opened his mouth, wanting to ask why the Black Queen could do it but wisely chose not to.
Gods and humans were alike in some ways; their roles and abilities differed significantly and were beyond each other's reach.
For example, Odin can control thunder, air, and elements, wielding incredible divine power. However, he cannot touch the realms of souls and life, which is why he cannot help Shasha.
Perhaps aware of this reason, Shasha sighed, unable to hide her disappointment.
After a moment, Odin made what seemed to be a difficult decision. "How about this? I will allow you to enter my Treasury and select a treasure."
Seeing the old fellow's pained expression, Shasha rolled her eyes inwardly. She truly had no interest in treasures. With the System at her disposal, what treasure could she not acquire? If it weren't for her insufficient Energy Points, she would have already consulted the System.
However, after some thought, having something was better than nothing. How could one leave a treasure mountain empty-handed?
In the end, Shasha nodded, agreeing to the terms of this reward.
Odin breathed a sigh of relief and announced with a beaming smile the start of the post-war banquet.
