After a month of intense training, Glen and the others had forged a deep friendship. The time until the Tao Tie invasion was growing shorter, with Deno's supercomputer predicting it would occur no later than a week from now.
During this period, the training volume began to gradually decrease; after all, the essence of training lies in balancing work and rest.
"Hey, Xin, come here and help me gank him! Damn it, hurry up! I'm about to die!"
"I'm coming, I'm coming! You need to learn to handle pressure better; why is your mindset so fragile?"
Hearing these two guys playing their game, Shasha shook her head with a smile as she passed by their dormitory. The second room belonged to Cheng Yaowen and Liu Chuang. Cheng Yaowen enjoyed tending to flowers and plants, often fiddling with them. This guy, who was supposedly a prince from the De Star, had become an ordinary farmer in this world, and his interests had changed accordingly.
Liu Chuang was on the phone with someone at home, trying not to disturb Cheng Yaowen while also being cautious about others overhearing.
Shasha's senses were sharper than most people's, allowing her to listen closely.
"Mom, I'm fine! I'm out here partnering up for business. Yeah, I'm not just wasting time; why don't you believe me? Money? I've got enough. Yeah, I've even got some extra lately; no need to send more."
Who would have thought that the usually fierce Liu Chuang was actually family-oriented? His parents still didn't know that their son was going to fight for his country and his people. This might become a source of pride for them, but I think every parent hopes their child stays safe and happy.
As she walked past this dormitory, she came to Qilin and Rui Mengmeng's room. One was meticulously cleaning her sniper rifle while the other fiddled with her computer. Qilin always maintained a serious demeanor, which was related to her profession. In contrast, Rui Mengmeng preferred using the computer over fighting; perhaps this stemmed from her current aversion to combat.
Passing by their room, Qilin instinctively glanced out the window, her keen intuition sensing someone outside.
The last room belonged to Rosa, the rose of the military—thorny and hard to approach.
Living in her own world, no one knew what she was thinking; they only saw her executing orders. Perhaps she had her own thoughts hidden away inside her mind, but who could truly know? A woman living in her inner world might lose herself if stripped of her exterior.
Shaking her head with a silent sigh, Shasha slowly walked out of Super God Academy. The atmosphere outside felt much more relaxed compared to that within the academy. This unrestrained relaxation wasn't laziness; it was meant to prepare for tightening the strings later on.
"Hey, are you going out? Want to join me?" Reina said cheerfully in casual attire that radiated energy.
Shasha shrugged. "Just don't treat me like a laborer."
Reina laughed awkwardly. "How could I be that kind of person?"
As the scene shifted to the bustling shopping street, Shasha was carrying various large bags while Reina eagerly browsed through women's clothing, shoes, and handbags. It turned out that women everywhere shared a common weakness for shopping.
Following Reina into a high-end handbag store, Shasha idly surveyed the store's decor and the other customers. To her surprise, she spotted someone unexpected.
"This one, this one, this one, and this one," the exquisite and alluring woman said, pointing at items with a proud smile on her face. "Wrap them all up for me!"
The commotion caught Reina's attention, and she glanced over with disdain, muttering under her breath, "New money."
The woman's delicate earlobes trembled as she frowned at Reina. "Girl, what’s your problem?"
The word "girl" made Reina's temper flare. "Old hag, what about you?"
"Old hag? You little bitch!" The woman pointed at Reina and hurled an international insult, confirming her identity in Shasha's eyes.
At first, Reina didn’t quite catch the pronunciation but quickly became furious. "What nonsense are you talking about, old witch? You're the bitch; your whole family is full of bitches!"
That's how foreign women were—regardless of titles like Queen or Empress, their vocabulary for insults was severely lacking.
Shasha had heard enough from the street brawlers in her own world; their fighting spirit was something else entirely—no one could stand against it.
Without a doubt, the store owner eventually intervened. Were they not going to do business anymore? Even if they were valued customers, there was no need for such a scene that scared away all the other patrons. Thus, they left the store with sparks flying between them.
"Watch yourself; I don't want to run into you again," the woman spat before walking away, completely oblivious to Shasha standing beside Reina—this was what one might call a blind spot in thinking.
As for Reina? Naturally, she retorted with an unyielding tone that suggested she was waiting for a chance to confront her again. Throughout this exchange, Shasha had remained an observer; he really wanted to remind Reina that this woman was Fallen Queen Morgana.
But after some thought, he decided against it—there was no need.
So the two left but were surprised when Morgana turned back around, her gaze flickering as she watched Shasha carrying the bags.
This was unexpected for Shasha; it proved that women could indeed multitask effectively.
By the time they returned to Super God Academy, it was already evening, and all the shopping and dining experiences were left unmentioned.
The two of them going out together certainly gave the cafeteria patrons something to talk about. Zhao Xin mysteriously said, "Don't tell anyone outside, but Xia and Sister Reina are dating!"
Glen was somewhat skeptical. "No way, one is a person and the other is a deity."
"Why not? How did the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl fall in love? What about the Seven Fairies and Dong Yong?" Liu Chuang, despite his apparent lack of education, had watched enough of these tales to know how to reference them.
Rui Mengmeng gasped, "Is that really true?"
"Don't listen to him rambling. The parties involved haven't even confirmed anything, yet they're speculating," Qilin said dismissively, not wanting to believe it herself. Perhaps she didn't even realize that she held a certain fondness for Shasha.
Rosa shot a glance at Qilin, looking as if she had come to some realization.
The monkey had a good conversation with Cheng Yaowen, as both had experienced the Deno Battle. They belonged to that group that existed somewhat outside the main crowd; aside from fighting, they were basically invisible.
