On the desolate street, three figures clad in Mechanical Glutton armor swaggered down the road.
Among them, one was burly, another moved awkwardly, while the one in the middle appeared the most natural.
"How did you come up with this idea?" one of them complained, her voice ringing clear.
"This isn't really much of a plan," the one in the middle shrugged.
The burly one grumbled, "Don't you think this thing is a bit cramped? I feel uncomfortable all over."
These three were none other than Shasha and her companions. It turned out that Shasha had instructed Soton to eliminate three members of the Patrol Team and strip them of their shells. As expected, there were no biological traces; they were entirely mechanical.
The external armor structure was naturally handled by Shiyan, as she possessed the necessary skills for it.
As for Shasha, he didn't need to worry; his ability to mimic the Destroyer Armor made his disguise the most convincing among the three.
"What kind of material is your armor made from? It actually has self-mimicking and transforming capabilities?" Shiyan voiced her curiosity. This armor was not something current technology could produce; even the technologically advanced Tao Tie and Atlantis Civilization couldn't manage it.
Shasha smiled without answering; this was something that couldn't be easily explained, especially since the concept of cosmic alloys didn't exist in this world.
Seeing Shasha's silence, Shiyan couldn't help but pout. She wasn't the type to pry relentlessly for answers.
Before long, they arrived at a fork in the road. They were now less than a kilometer from the Command Ship, and security around them was becoming increasingly tight.
Shasha slowed down his movements to avoid drawing attention. Just then, an explosion echoed from afar, prompting the nearby Patrol Team to rush toward the sound. He couldn't help but think to himself that this was a stroke of luck!
However, it soon became clear that Tao Tie's defensive arrangements were nearly flawless. Even with the Patrol Team's departure, surveillance and defenses showed no signs of relaxation.
"Wait!" Soton called out, stopping Shasha who was striding forward. Shasha scanned the corners around them; there were subtle mechanical reactions indicating their deployed defensive firepower or surveillance equipment.
Pointing upward, Soton and Shiyan understood immediately. The three decided to advance through the air instead of on the ground.
As they drew closer to the Command Ship, they found themselves within a hundred meters of it. Yet that distance felt daunting due to the heavy guard present.
Before them stood hundreds or even thousands of mechanical formations surrounding the Command Ship, with tightly constructed heavy firepower defenses. It seemed that Tao Tie had anticipated that Huaxia would prioritize an assassination attempt on the Command Ship and had deployed heavy troops here well in advance.
"At this point, we can no longer move forward. Once exposed, the firepower we face is enough to turn the three of us to ashes." Shiyan's expression was grave; even she, a powerful envoy, found the situation tricky, let alone Shasha, a mere mortal.
It should be noted that envoys generally possess bodies with nearly three generations of divine genes, allowing them to ignore many powerful attacks and even heal quickly or regenerate their bodies. But what about Shasha? He had yet to break free from the constraints of his physical form, which was his greatest weakness. Although he had the Destroyer Armor, making his vulnerability less apparent, it was still a limitation.
If only he could utilize the genes available in the Marvel Universe, he wouldn't fear his physical weakness. With the ability to transform into a giant, he could leap into the crowd and wreak havoc, dismantling the entire Command Ship with his bare hands.
Unfortunately, that was not an option now. He had only a few abilities left; his strongest was Vibration, followed by the powerful Big Dipper Fist martial art. Combined with Vibration, no one dared to challenge him.
However, if those attacks got close enough to breach Vibration's defenses and harm his body, the result would be severe injury.
Sighing, Shasha felt utterly at a loss. In the past, he had always been in control, but now he had no idea what to do.
"How about I draw their attention? I'm a third-generation divine body; they won't be able to hurt me for a while, and I can buy you some time," Soton's naive voice chimed in, lacking any hint of reluctance.
Shasha was taken aback and quickly shook his head in refusal. "No! We can't let you make such a pointless sacrifice!"
Upon hearing Shasha's firm rejection, a glimmer of appreciation flashed in Soton's eyes. He smiled foolishly and rubbed his head. "I've been wasting resources all this time and haven't contributed much. This time, I want to try something!"
Shasha's expression changed at those words; just as he was about to rise to stop him, Soton resolutely leaped from the high building.
In the next moment, attacks from all directions converged into a storm of firepower as Soton laughed heartily. "Come on! Everyone come after me!"
As his voice faded into the distance, Shasha slowly closed his eyes, feeling as if something was blocking his heart and making him uncomfortable.
"What are you still doing? Don't waste this opportunity!" Shiyan shouted loudly.
Huo Ran opened her eyes; determination filled Shasha's gaze. He couldn't allow Soton's sacrifice to be in vain!
Taking a step forward, he shot toward the Command Ship like a cannonball. Shiyan did not follow; her mission was to provide support.
Due to heavy firepower surrounding them, the Command Ship had not set up defensive barriers. With Vibration activated at maximum capacity as propulsion and impact power, Shasha instantly penetrated through the Command Ship's deck and entered its interior.
Upon landing, ignoring the approaching Gluttonous Soldiers around him, Shasha unleashed Vibration with both hands repeatedly. In the past, he had restrained himself with Vibration for fear of harming innocents; but at this moment, he held nothing back.
Soon, from the center of the Command Ship, vibrations began to radiate in all directions. The tremors extended from a swaying building to the entire city, and the waters surrounding Giant Gorge City became tumultuous. The ground shook continuously with the vibrations, causing anyone standing on it to sway unsteadily, panic setting in.
With a loud crack, the sound of metal shattering echoed, followed by an ongoing expansion. The vibrations caused the Mechanical Glutton to disintegrate into powder, while the Command Ship was relentlessly torn apart, spiderweb-like cracks spreading outward.
The earth, skyscrapers, and even the Devouring Army in the air all began to fall, shatter, and perish.
In the heart of the vibrations, Shasha whispered lowly, her figure completely enveloped in a blinding halo of light, resembling the core of the sun.
Ten seconds later, the forces watching this battle fell into silence; even the Tao Tie Command Ship far in space was rendered speechless. The outcome was indeed the destruction of Giant Gorge City; however, the Tao Tie vanguard lost at least seventy to eighty percent of its forces from one-tenth of the Tao Tie Legion.
It appeared to be a great victory for humanity; however, all members of Xiong Bing Lian were left scattered and lost.
