The Northward Battlefield was in chaos. With communication systems down, each unit was left to fend for itself. Not everyone was as fortunate as Rosa and Lianfeng, who had the means to restore their communications. 0

The result of losing contact was that units were picked off one by one, much like how a single chopstick is easily broken. 0

However, the situation had slightly improved not long ago, thanks to two members of Xiong Bing Lian entering the northern battlefront, along with a wingless envoy. 0

The Artillery Unit maneuvered armored tanks across fixed positions on the battlefield, engaging in a back-and-forth struggle with the Spaceship. Even though human technology had its shortcomings, their weapons could still inflict damage. 0

But that was not enough—far from it. The enemy blocking the North Star was a medium fleet of Tao Tie. The most troublesome aspect was not their numbers but the endless stream of soldiers emerging from their flying vessels. 0

Individual combat capability had always been Earth's weakness, which is why they had to rely on Xiong Bing Lian's forces. 0

With sword in hand, Glen swung and struck, cutting down enemies attempting to fly past him. With black wings unfurled, he gazed into the distance where an unending tide of foes approached, overwhelming and relentless. 0

At three in the afternoon, the enemy retreated like a receding tide. The survivors breathed a sigh of relief, but before they could celebrate, sorrow engulfed them as they looked at the countless corpses scattered around. The faces of those lost seemed to linger in their minds, yet they could no longer hear their voices. 0

As he descended slowly, Glen surveyed the battlefield. Behind him, two officers' conversation reached his ears. 0

"How many are missing on your side?" 0

"Three." 0

"I have four here." 0

"Report them as dead then!" 0

"Is it meaningful?" 0

Indeed, was it meaningful? Whether dead or alive. Glen smiled silently to himself, a smile tinged with self-mockery. 0

Dragging his weary feet back to the tent, the protective smile he wore faded as he entered. Before he could lie down and rest properly, hurried footsteps approached as several soldiers carried someone inside. 0

Glen looked over at Huo Ran, whose complexion had changed slightly as he stood up. This was another one from the Northward Battlefield, Zhao Xin. 0

"Zhao Xin, how are you?" 0

Zhao Xin seemed to still be regaining consciousness, and his response came from behind Glen. "He sustained some minor injuries; a bomb exploded next to him before he could dodge. Fortunately, he was wearing Dark Alloy Armor." 0

Hearing this, Glen let out a sigh of relief without turning around, as he knew who was behind him. Originally an enemy, but now Zhao Xin's companion, was a being named Zhi Xin, a holy envoy and the right guard of Kesha. 0

An arrogant envoy, folding her wings to serve a human—it sounded unbelievable. The two had no emotional foundation; their connection relied on Holy Kaisa's assignment, but it all seemed like an attempt to avoid disaster. 0

It wasn't that he intended to speak ill of her; rather, he simply had no fondness for envoys, even though he possessed their genes. 0

Just as the atmosphere became so awkward that Glen didn't know how to break the silence, Zhao Xin woke up and suddenly began to cry, his emotions unraveling. "I'm tired; I want to fight again. I'm so exhausted." 0

"Not fighting? If we don't fight, then death is all that's left," Glen replied wearily. 0

"I'd rather die than fight! After fighting for so long, so many people have still died. How can there be so many deaths in all of Huaxia?" Zhao Xin's emotions were intense, even as Zhi Xin tried to comfort him. "Even if it's a god, even Anna—look at her! She's failed, gone missing—she might even be captured!" 0

Glen suddenly raised his hand and slapped Zhao Xin across the face, his expression grim. "I'm tired too! I know people are dying every day; I know that even if we lose more people, those bastards won't suffer much. But what can we do if we don't fight? Just watch more people die? Surviving is our only hope!" 0

After receiving the slap, Zhao Xin didn't react violently; he slumped back onto the bed, tears streaming into his hair. "I'm sorry; I just... I'm too tired to control my emotions. I'm sorry." 0

Glen sighed deeply, his tone low. "Since we left Giant Gorge City, over ten thousand soldiers have already fallen on the northern battlefield, including many officers. The foundation of our national army is nearly depleted; many have become deserters, and countless injured soldiers are crawling on the battlefield to hold back the enemy. We can't fall behind them." 0

"But what can we do to stop it?" Zhao Xin looked at Glen with hope in his eyes. 0

Faced with such a gaze, Glen couldn't help but smile bitterly; he only knew how to take hits and swing a sword. 0

"Actually," Zhi Xin interjected seriously, "you possess immense power within you. My master Kesha once said that your power can reverse the void—it's similar to that kind of willpower that constructs virtual things through ability and conveys them through thought." 0

Zhi Xin's words caught both Glen and Zhao Xin's attention; they looked at her with curiosity and anticipation. "The biggest problem right now is the lack of communication networks; your power could actually construct one." 0

"What should I do?" Glen asked urgently. 0

Zhi Xin thought for a moment and then replied earnestly, "Do you understand binary and assembly language?" 0

Glen was taken aback. "Isn't that what programmers use?" 0

"Indeed, you know how to use a computer, right?" Zhi Xin continued to ask. 0

"Of course, back in the day I was the guild leader and had many first kills," Glen replied, somewhat off-topic. 0

Zhi Xin looked exasperated. "This is about computer games, isn't it? I have a plan in mind, or rather a blueprint. If you understand binary, we can convert binary into readable decimal data." 0

Glen was a bit confused but vaguely understood. "Uh, go on." 0

"For example, I represent the void as 0 and you as 1. The Holy Language can convert binary to decimal and then to high-level languages, allowing us to bypass the law of conservation of energy. In other words, we can collaborate to create a Void Controller and further rewrite the world." 0

Zhi Xin's words not only made Glen's expression turn hopeful, but even Zhao Xin, who had been lying down, sat up to listen intently as Zhi Xin explained how to utilize void and anti-void abilities to escape the conservation of energy. 0

"Before we proceed further, let's learn the Holy Language first." 0
