Chapter 195: The Real and the Fake Fat
Walking forward with Stone, we soon encountered a person staggering ahead, walking unsteadily like someone who had been drinking. It was not unusual to see a drunkard in a hospital, but what was strange was that this drunkard was none other than Fat.
Fat came to the hospital? That’s impossible. Given the earlier incident of Fat's body going missing, I suspected something would go wrong, but I never expected it would actually happen.
Rather than calling him Fat, it would be more accurate to say he resembled a walking corpse. He stumbled along, and when someone passed by him, he grabbed them without any hesitation. From my perspective, the force with which he seized that person was not something an ordinary individual could muster.
Fat caught hold of the person passing by and brought them close, staring intently at them. His movements were mechanical, like a marionette, yet it seemed as if he were possessed, searching for someone. My heart raced in my throat, fearing he might do something terrible.
“He’s been hit by the Ice Spell,” Stone reminded me as he swiftly darted into my Yintang acupoint. Instantly, I felt a surge of power coursing through me; for a moment, I had the illusion that this wasn’t Chi Xinrong’s body but my own Ma Qi.
Fat released the person he had been gripping and glanced at me with his hollow eyes. However, he quickly turned away. Who was he looking for?
“Looking for you.”
“For me? I’m right here; why isn’t he making any moves towards me?”
“You’re currently using a female body; how could he possibly act against a female body, especially one desired by Li Gui?”
“What do you mean?”
Stone grinned mischievously. “Ma Qi, what is it that your fate lacks in terms of Yin?”
My grandfather once told me that my fate lacked Yin. Was this what Stone was referring to? I nodded slowly. “Lacking Yin.”
"You're lacking in Yin, which has been the case since ancient times. The balance of Yin and Yang is essential. Your destiny is purely Yang, and the absence of Yin is why you have Fatty by your side, and why I, Spirit Stone, have become your protective stone. As for Li Gui, after suffering a severe blow from Qin Ye, he urgently needs to gather Yin to replenish his Yang. He intends to use your body to accomplish his nefarious plans before the Ghost Gate closes, so he can gather enough energy to command the spirits."
His grandfather truly intended to ruin my body. I felt a surge of righteous indignation, my blood boiling with the desire to tear that bastard Li Gui apart.
"Li Gui was born a eunuch and cannot perform the act of intimacy. He can only borrow your body to complete his Yin-gathering ritual, so this step must succeed; otherwise, it could lead to disastrous consequences."
So that's it—Li Gui is a eunuch. This was news to me.
A eunuch means one who cannot bear offspring; they are born without reproductive capability, much like the ancient castrates. But why did Li Gui choose me as his medium for gathering Yin? That question puzzled me.
I opened my mouth to voice my thoughts.
"Don't rush; there are still details I haven't shared. The ancients emphasized the concept of stems and branches. The stems—Jia, Bing, Wu, Geng, Ren—are Yang, while the branches—Yi, Ding, Ji, Xin, Gui—are Yin. In modern terms, odd numbers represent Yang and even numbers represent Yin. There are also the twelve branches: Zi, Chou, Yin, Mao, Chen, Si, Wu, Wei, Shen, You, Xu, and Hai. The ten stems and twelve branches rotate in sequence over sixty years; thus we have a sixty-year cycle known as the Jiazi system. According to this system, Chi Xinrong's birth date calculated using the stems and branches indicates she belongs to Yin."
Historically, such women were referred to as 'Yin women.' Women are inherently Yin; thus those with such Ba Zi are often beautiful.
Throughout history, countless women with this Ba Zi have met untimely deaths—not due to jealousy over their beauty but because their fate destined them for early demise.
In modern times, how many people pay attention to those who pass away with such destinies or consider the reasons behind their deaths? For men, engaging with such women brings countless benefits. Evil sorcerers like Li Gui particularly enjoy collecting these women for their Yin-gathering rituals; the experience of intimacy with them is exquisite. However, due to their Ba Zi being overly Yin, these women generally lead short lives—not out of jealousy but because their vitality is unconsciously drained by men."
Listening to Spirit Stone's detailed explanation made me gasp in shock. If I couldn't rescue Chi Xinrong from this predicament and expel Li Gui from my body in time, wouldn't that spell disaster?
I watched as Fatty staggered aimlessly toward us.
I said to Stone, "You think of a way to deal with Fatty. I'll handle Li Gui with Chi Xinrong."
"I understand. You have the Breath-Holding Talisman, so even if Li Gui casts an ice spell on Fatty's empty shell, it won't matter. You can focus on your task; we'll work together to take that bastard down," Stone replied, keenly picking up on my earlier thoughts and echoing them back in a way that made me chuckle.
After Stone left, I took on the appearance of Chi Xinrong and headed towards Room 24.
Inside the room, Li Gui was already impatient, eagerly grabbing Chi Xinrong's (my) hand and asking, "Rongrong, where did you go? Why are you only here now?"
"I was looking for you," I mimicked Chi Xinrong's voice, blocking the entrance to Dark City so that no matter how much noise Chi Xinrong made, Li Gui wouldn't notice.
"Ugh, I was so scared just now. I have a bump on the back of my head; can you take a look?"
I leaned in closer and indeed saw a lump on the back of his head. Cursing him internally, I thought: old bastard, ruining your own body; I'll make sure to take care of you. Putting on a concerned expression, I gently asked, "Does it hurt? Do you want me to call a doctor for a thorough check-up?"
"No need. Just hearing you say that makes me feel satisfied, Rongrong..." As he spoke, he had already unwrapped the bandage, revealing his greedy eyes filled with lustful desire as they roamed over Chi Xinrong's body. His hand unconsciously moved towards her thigh.
"Don't do that; someone will come soon."
"Rongrong, I really want to have your heart and your body right away. I truly love you." Damn it, this guy is using my body to flirt with girls and talking nonsense through my mouth. I was furious but couldn't explode; after all, this was Chi Xinrong's body.
I couldn't let Li Gui defile it any further under the guise of my identity.
Suddenly standing up, I said firmly, "You go take a shower; I need to prepare."
Li Gui happily agreed and went inside. I quickly took out the talisman paper, silently reciting the incantation, successfully preparing a cup of Exorcism Water.
I carried the water towards the inner room of the Special Ward, calling out sweetly, using those endearing terms that felt as disgusting as swallowing a dead fly.
"Darling, I'm waiting for you here."
Li Gui leaned against the large bed, completely bare, with pure sheets beneath him. His strong muscles were on display, and the part of me that I was too shy to reveal was already standing tall, trembling slightly.
If it were Chi Xinrong, she would have been too embarrassed to handle it.
But even I couldn't be too casual; that would raise Li Gui's suspicions. This old fellow was already quite serious. If I succeeded in this step, everything that followed would be much easier and would surely develop smoothly.
So I had to tread carefully with each move I made.
