"You should go back to the Single Dormitory and wait for him. He'll be back soon after he finishes up," Su Bei said, struggling to find the right words to comfort Ding Li, but ultimately settling for this. 0

Ding Li stared blankly at the school gate, as if in a daze. The bright lights illuminated a few leaves, which rustled and rolled away in the wind, leaving no trace behind as they quietly drifted to another spot. 0

Perhaps it was best for her not to stay any longer; it was all her childish fault. Ye Chenfeng would have to face consequences because of her actions, and his friends were getting dragged into it too. 0

Ding Li finally mustered the courage to lift her head and called out, "Su Bei." 0

Su Bei looked at her and suddenly felt a wave of sympathy for this unfortunate girl, unsure of how to help her reconcile with Ye Chenfeng. 0

"Thank you, I'm fine. Please tell Ye Chenfeng I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt him like this; I just care too much about whether he values my existence. I love him too much..." 0

Su Bei gazed at the dark night sky, surrounded by silence. Her words hinted that she wanted to leave. It wasn't safe for a single girl to wander around at this hour. He kindly advised her, "Don't overthink it. Just go back to the Single Dormitory and wait for Ye Chenfeng. Even if you want to leave, can you wait until tomorrow? We have an exam then. If you leave now, he'll worry about where you are and your safety." 0

Ding Li's reasoning made sense; anyone with a bit of common sense would realize that Ye Chenfeng would definitely be concerned about her whereabouts and well-being. 0

After much consideration, Ding Li finally agreed to stay and wait for Ye Chenfeng in his Single Dormitory. 0

At the Academic Affairs Office, Qin Keqing exchanged a wry smile with Ye Chenfeng. 0

"Shen Binghan should be asleep by now," Qin Keqing remarked. 0

Ye Chenfeng felt apologetic and wanted to say something to Qin Keqing but decided against it, thinking it would be unnecessary. Instead, he said, "That guy could sleep through anything." 0

"True enough. He doesn't even know what's happened. How could Ding Li be so thoughtless?" 0

"They say big-chested girls are brainless, but she..." Ye Chenfeng caught himself before finishing that thought, realizing it wasn't appropriate in front of his good friend. 0

"Hahaha... Don't say that! Just mentioning it makes me think of women," Qin Keqing laughed heartily and then made a crude gesture, complaining, "Damn it, why aren't they here yet? Are we supposed to sit here all night?" 0

Ye Chenfeng asked Qin Keqing, "Do you know that girl from earlier?" 0

Qin Keqing chuckled and whispered, "Yeah, she's nicknamed Tuzi Liu—just a few hairs on top." 0

"Oh, is it easy to deal with?" 0

"Easy? No way! Can he just leave us sitting here like this?" Qin Keqing kicked the closed door. 0

It seemed the door was locked from the outside. Liu Tzu must have intended to trap them here. What kind of nonsense was that? 0

Just as she was thinking about Liu Tzu, the door swung open. 0

Liu Tzu stood there with his hands behind his back, approaching them. His bulging fish-like eyes made him look just like a goldfish, except he didn’t have fins or a tail on his chubby body. 0

"Ma Xingsheng is not in life-threatening danger, but he has temporary amnesia. He woke up not remembering who he is and we don't know if there will be any lasting effects. All his medical expenses will be covered by you, Ye Chenfeng. And you two need to write a public reflection for the entire school tonight. If you think my handling of this matter is unfair, you can offer your suggestions. Also, the reflection must show sincerity; otherwise, you will automatically forfeit tomorrow's exam and be prepared to wipe your behind with paper before you leave." 0

"Director Liu, isn't this punishment a bit too harsh? You want someone to pay for medical expenses and write a reflection with sincerity? You're abusing your power to curry favor with Ma Xingsheng!" Qin Keqing wasn’t afraid to speak her mind and pointed out Liu Tzu's intentions directly. 0

Ma Xingsheng was a rich second-generation heir, and so was she. The difference was that his father was an official while hers was in business. 0

"Qin Keqing, you're delusional. If you keep hanging around Ye Chenfeng, you won't end up well. I'm closing the door now." Liu Tzu said angrily to Qin Keqing and Ye Chenfeng before leading the way out, standing at the door until they both left before shutting it behind him. 0

Ye Chenfeng and Qin Keqing walked out of the administrative office, and on their way, Ye Chenfeng called Su Bei. 0

Su Bei had been waiting for news from them. Upon hearing they were out, she cheerfully said, "Ding Li is waiting for you in room 214. You two should hurry back to write that reflection; don’t let tomorrow’s exam slip away!" 0

"Ding Li is waiting for you in 214. What are you going to do?" Qin Keqing didn’t want to say much; after all, they were already a couple in reality—even without a marriage certificate, as long as they still loved each other, there was always a chance for reconciliation. 0

Ye Chenfeng felt uneasy at the mention of Ding Li’s name; it reminded him of her intimate moments with Ma Xingsheng while watching movies in theaters. Frowning, he made an unexpected decision that surprised Qin Keqing: "I’ll go with you to Boys' Dormitory. It’s been a while since we’ve all been together; tonight we’ll figure out how to write that damn reflection." 0

Qin Keqing thought it wouldn’t be good to leave Ding Li alone there; room 214 wasn’t just any dormitory—it had some terrifying rumors surrounding it. She finally asked for confirmation: "Are you really not going back to 214?" 0

Ye Chenfeng shrugged and strode ahead confidently: "Of course not! Are you not welcoming me back?" 0

At Boys' Dormitory. 0

Su Bei's call woke Shen Binghan, who had been sleeping like a dead pig. 0

Shen Binghan, still half-asleep, puzzledly asked, "Why aren't you sleeping, buddy? Where's Qin Keqing? Who are you on the phone with? Hooking up or what?" 0

"Get up, something big has happened. Can you still sleep?" 0

Hearing Su Bei's words, Shen Binghan immediately tensed up and scrambled to sit up, asking anxiously, "What happened?" 0

Suddenly feeling a bit nosy himself, he added, "Never mind." 0

"Damn it, you can't just say half and leave the other half. I'm too lazy to deal with you. I'm going back to sleep..." Shen Binghan tried to settle back down. 0

Ye Chenfeng and Qin Keqing returned to the Boys' Dormitory, startling Shen Binghan awake again. 0

He exclaimed in surprise, "Wow, wow, wow~ You're not going to spend the night with your girlfriend; why are you here in our dorm?" Before Ye Chenfeng and Qin Keqing could respond, he leered and teased, "Looks like you two are having a late-night rendezvous. Did you bring soap?" 0

Qin Keqing shot back angrily, "You better watch it; see how I deal with you." This scared Shen Binghan into retreating under the covers, too afraid to poke his head out. 0

Su Bei knew what was going on and didn't ask Ye Chenfeng why he had come to the Boys' Dormitory. Instead, he handed him a blanket and said, "Just make do for one night; don't catch a cold." 0

Qin Keqing also tossed a comforter onto Ye Chenfeng's old bed. 0

Seeing this, Shen Binghan got up as well and grabbed a thick sweater to throw at him. "You can use this on top of the comforter to keep warm." 0

"Thanks, guys." 0

"Thanks for nothing; we’re all dragged down by you. Ever since that incident at Purple City Fourth Hospital, who would dare get too close to us? Everyone thinks we're crazy, hahaha!" Su Bei's words rang true; when the three returned to school, they caused quite a stir. Even the teachers were confused about why they were back. 0

"No wonder you're feeling neglected and suspicious of others; that's why you're forced to stick with me as friends?" Ye Chenfeng joked as he made his bed and crawled under the covers. 0

"Exactly!" his friends chimed in unison. 0

Qin Keqing was far too tired now, while Shen Binghan was wide awake at this moment. He casually tried to keep the conversation going until Qin Keqing seriously said, "Alright, time for bed. Anyone who dares say another word will have to go outside and drink the northwest wind." 0

Finally, the Boys' Dormitory fell silent. 0

Their dormitory was the last to turn off the lights. 0

According to the usual rules, both the Boys' Dormitory and the Girls' Dormitory had lights out at ten o'clock. However, Su Bei had her ways; she bribed the dorm supervisor for special treatment, allowing them to stay up until ten forty. 0

Ding Li, in Room 214, waited anxiously for Ye Chenfeng to return. Her phone felt like it was about to melt in her grip from the heat of her palms. Several times she considered calling him, but each time she hesitated just before pressing the last digit. 0

She lowered her head, curling her feet beneath her as she sat on the edge of her bed. She had prepared a string of words to say when she saw Ye Chenfeng and planned to use all her charm to win back his heart, hoping to mend the emotional crisis caused by her childish actions that evening. 0

But why hadn’t Ye Chenfeng returned yet? 0

It must be cold in the administrative office; should she send him a jacket? 0

Ding Li stood up and walked to the door, peering outside. It was too dark; the hallway lights flickered ominously, and in the shadows, it seemed as if someone was quietly standing there. 0

Fear gripped her, and she quickly pulled back and shut the door. 0

Just as she turned away, a series of knocks echoed from the door. 0

Ding Li looked toward the door in surprise, her hand already reaching for it as she called out, "Ye Chenfeng, is that you?" A gust of cold wind rushed in, making her shiver as she saw nothing but the dimly lit hallway empty of any presence. 0

Bang! 0

She slammed the door shut again. 0

Ding Li stepped back, retreating further. The knocking sound earlier didn’t seem like someone knocking; it felt more like nails scraping against the door. 0

“Knock knock.” 0

She dared not open the door. Covering her ears, she repeated to herself countless times: this is just an illusion; if I wait a little longer, he will come back. 0

“Knock knock~ knock knock.” 0

The person outside seemed to be knocking with suppressed anger, striking again and again. The sharp sound truly resembled nails scraping against wood. 0

“Ye Chenfeng... I was wrong, please come back, I beg you…” 0

A chilling, eerie voice suddenly emerged from nowhere, asking, “Do you hate him?” 0

Ding Li shook her head desperately. 0

“Don’t you want to know who he’s with now?” The voice echoed in the space around her. She couldn’t see the speaker, but a deep sense of unease and fear enveloped her. 0

“Who are you? Who are you?!” Ding Li shouted hoarsely, demanding an answer, yet the voice remained unseen. 0

“Do you want to see me?” The voice seemed to whisper in her ear, as if it came from hell itself. It sent shivers down her spine, and at that moment, the lights flickered and went out. 0

“No, I don’t want to see you.” Ding Li shook her head, struggling in the darkness. Finally, she grabbed one of Ye Chenfeng’s shirts. She inhaled his scent lingering on the fabric, seeking comfort and trying to make that terrifying voice fade away. 0

Boys' Dormitory. 0

Ye Chenfeng couldn’t fall asleep no matter what. An inexplicable anxiety gnawed at him, disrupting his rest and affecting his friends. He decided to sit up, quickly dressed, and quietly slipped out of bed. He hurriedly made his way to the Single Dormitory. 0

The Single Dormitory was pitch black. 0

Though there was no dorm supervisor here, the power was cut off at scheduled times. Ding Li was afraid of the dark; she must be terrified right now. 0
