First there was Ziya and Zhiqing, then came Xiao Ranhong, and now there was Li Mao. With four of them in a group, their numbers were just right. Li Mao was a man who lived on the edge, having committed countless crimes and escaped from danger more times than he could count. His experience in facing perilous situations was clearly greater than that of any of the others. 0

He was used to being unruly and wild, and Li Mao was not someone to be trifled with. Even in this dangerous situation, he would occasionally reach out to grab the rear of Xiao Ranhong, trying to take advantage of her. When Xiao Ranhong turned to look at him, he gave her an extremely disgusting lewd grin. 0

“Sister, I want to walk in front of you,” Xiao Ranhong whispered to Ziya. 0

“Sure, come on! Let’s switch,” Ziya replied, moving Xiao Ranhong to the front next to Zhiqing. 0

Suddenly, a deafening rumble echoed through the air, shaking their nerves and causing their ears to ring, making the atmosphere feel tense. 0

“Damn it, what is that noise?” Li Mao exploded first, cursing loudly. 0

“Cover your ears somehow; we don’t know where that sound is coming from. Let’s keep moving forward,” Zhiqing said as she looked at the two trembling girls and then at the fierce-looking Li Mao. 0

“Sister.” 0

“It’s okay.” Ziya noticed that Xiao Ranhong, who had seemed carefree and excited just moments ago, was now pale with fear, trembling all over as she kept calling for her. 0

Zhiqing quickly led them forward. They reached an open area, and as they walked past it, a shadow flashed by. No… it seemed like two shadows darted into a nearby room. Were they people? Or something else? 0

Ziya and the others also saw the shadows ahead. Seeing Zhiqing's intention to investigate, Ziya spoke up to stop her. “Forget it; let’s find a way out! Don’t go.” She thought every inch of this environment and air didn’t belong to them; she feared that if there were any hidden dangers inside, they would regret it too late. 0

“What Sister said makes sense; if that’s a monster, it wouldn’t be good,” Xiao Ranhong eagerly agreed. She cast a disdainful glance back at Li Mao, her eyes filled with contempt as if to say: Aren’t you just a coward? If you weren’t a coward, why would you be walking at the back? 0

"Women have long hair but short sight; I’m not afraid of you, old lady. Watch me." Li Mao was indeed provoked by the taunting gaze of the other party. He boldly declared, cracking his knuckles as he pushed past Ziya and Xiao Ranhong, striding forward. 0

Zhiqing observed the towering figure before him, choosing not to obstruct his domineering behavior. Instead, he continued to analyze every detail of their surroundings and the plight of the victims they had encountered. 0

Zhiqing considered himself a Feng Shui Master. He wondered if someone had deliberately brought him into this eerie environment as a challenge to his unique profession or if there were ulterior motives at play. Regardless, both he and others understood a simple truth: humans could be more terrifying than ghosts. If it were a ghost, he might have some means to deal with it; but if it were a human, he would have to rely on psychological tactics to defeat them. This made things significantly more difficult—one enemy lurked in the shadows while everyone here seemed oblivious to how they had arrived, even forgetting their own names. 0

Ziya was also contemplating this issue. Since someone had brought them here, there must be an exit hidden somewhere in this unremarkable place. 0

Xiao Ranhong nervously watched Li Mao walk away, realizing just how unamusing this situation was. Although she had a good sister by her side, there was also a violent man who had harassed her countless times. She dared not speak up for fear of troubling her good sister; if a fight broke out, it would be her sister's boyfriend who would suffer. Xiao Ranhong didn’t see Zhiqing as Ziya’s boyfriend; she was sharp enough to notice that Zhiqing treated Ziya with extraordinary care. From his gaze, she could see affection, concern, and a passionate warmth—like that of lovers deeply in love. 0

Xiao Ranhong desperately tried to recall what she had been doing before arriving here but could only remember feeling sticky upon arrival and deciding to take a shower in the swimming pool, where she encountered a man and a woman. Those were the only memories that remained. 0

Li Mao grasped the doorknob and pushed the door open with a creak. A musty stench rushed out with the wind from the opening door. 0

"Li Mao, don’t..." Ziya hurriedly tried to stop him from going any further but was too late; he had already stepped into the dark room. Zhiqing quickly grabbed Ziya and Xiao Ranhong, urging them not to take risks without knowing what lay inside. However, Li Mao was so arrogant that he disregarded anyone's words; Zhiqing and the others could only let him go. 0

Once inside the room, Zhiqing and the others rushed after him, but the door slammed shut behind Li Mao and wouldn’t budge. 0

"Li Mao... bang bang... open the door! You're in danger!" Zhiqing shouted loudly while pounding on the door. Suddenly, both Ziya and Xiao Ranhong felt a chill sweep over them, instinctively holding onto each other for warmth. 0

The room Li Mao entered felt like an impenetrable wall separating them from him. Every second he spent inside increased his danger. The three of them were as restless as ants on a hot pan; disregarding the cold, Ziya joined in pounding on the door alongside Xiao Ranhong. 0

Yet strangely enough, despite their combined efforts, the door remained unmoved. Inside the room, Li Mao seemed silent—why couldn’t he open the door? 0

Zhiqing and Ziya reluctantly stepped back, scanning the doors of other rooms when they suddenly noticed another door near the room that Li Mao had entered. They hurried over to take a look. Ziya anxiously watched as Zhiqing grasped the doorknob, her heart racing at the thought that Li Mao had entered in the same way and might be out of sight. Xiao Ranhong tightly held onto Ziya's hand, both of their palms slick with sweat, as they closely followed behind Zhiqing, fearing he might vanish at any moment. 0

Zhiqing turned the doorknob and pushed the door open. After a moment of fumbling, he finally found a light switch near the door. With a click, the room was suddenly illuminated. 0

"Ah... Li Mao..." Ziya exclaimed in shock, her finger trembling as she pointed behind Li Mao. He was so close to them, yet he couldn't hear their cries. 0

Zhiqing saw it too, and so did Xiao Ranhong—a figure cloaked in black raised a sharp dagger and lunged fiercely at the unsuspecting Li Mao. Li Mao turned, flailing his fists and feet as if he couldn't see his attacker. The dagger sliced through the air with deadly precision, piercing through Li Mao's back muscles. 0
