Sun Meng stared at the line of blood-red text, which suddenly transformed into blood that slowly dripped down from the computer screen. Her eyes widened in terror as she trembled and took a step back, then another. 0

“Knock, knock, knock, Mengmeng…” A hurried knocking sounded at the door, accompanied by Anqing's voice calling out. 0

Sun Meng snapped back to reality and looked at the computer again. There was no blood; it was just that line of text glaringly red. Hearing Anqing knocking, she quickly shut down the computer. For safety's sake, she couldn't let anyone else know about this; otherwise, the consequences would be unimaginable. 0

“What’s going on, Godmother?” After regaining her composure, Sun Meng opened the door and asked Anqing. 0

“Nothing much, but I feel so anxious. My eyelids keep twitching. Can you contact Ziya and see what’s going on with her?” Anqing said with a worried expression and an anxious tone. 0

“Ah! Mom, it’s nothing. Don’t overthink it; everything is fine.” Sun Meng gently embraced Anqing, her eyes glistening with moisture as she tried to steady her emotions and comfort her softly. But inside, Sun Meng was silently shouting: Ziya, where on earth are you? 0

Hiding this from Anqing, Sun Meng quietly made her way to the shop located at Nanmen Bridge Zhiqing, only to find the door barred shut. Just as she felt lost and helpless, an old man with a sharp face suddenly spoke from behind in a mocking tone, “This guy has gone crazy; it seems he plans to stop doing business!” 0

Sun Meng recognized him; he was Xu Bansian, the business rival Zhiqing had mentioned before. Given his appearance, she didn’t think he was a good person and ignored his taunts as she hurriedly left. 0

Zhiqing observed everything before him and connected the dots. He voiced his thoughts to the other three: “From the environment here, this house seems to be a product of the sixties or seventies. Look at these cracked walls. It reminds me of that nationwide earthquake; only such an earthquake could shake a building to this extent.” 0

“What does that prove?” Liu Yi scoffed with crossed arms and a loud voice. 0

“It proves that this house is an old structure; perhaps it has sunk underground or maybe it was originally a basement. We need to be extra cautious in our actions to avoid casualties and safely evacuate this hellish place.” 0

“Pfft! Are you putting on a show like Ben Shan Uncle? It’s been so long since that earthquake; how could such a house still exist? How do we stay safe? Do we have bulletproof vests? Or some kind of protective gear? How can we escape like this! Hahaha, impossible! Did you see how that girl died? We can only wait for death, wait for those hidden Demon Enforcers to come kill us. Escape… dream on!” Liu Yi said incredulously, sounding disheartened and defeated like Monet. 0

"Then what do you think? Are we just going to sit here and wait for death? We can't do that. Even if there's a glimmer of hope, we shouldn't give up easily." 0

"Right, who wouldn't want to leave this hellhole right away? Fine! You find an exit immediately, and we'll all escape with you. Once we're out, I'll give you my bones." Liu Yi's words were clearly said in anger; he had tried countless times to find a way out before, only to fail repeatedly. It made him feel like a trapped beast, wanting to go mad, wanting to scream, wanting to run out and breathe fresh air deeply. 0

Zhiqing eventually lost patience. Liu Yi's stubbornness severely undermined his earlier thoughts. He felt helpless about Liu Yi's refusal to adapt and his loss of will to survive. 0

"I agree with Zhiqing. This house must have some hidden secrets. As long as we find that secret place, it won't be hard to escape safely. I believe there must be a way," Ziya said firmly, his expression fearless as he strongly supported Zhiqing. 0

The three of them almost simultaneously turned their gaze toward Zeng Qin. She looked blankly at Liu Yi and timidly said, "I agree with Liu Yi. Whatever he says goes." 0

Ziya, Zhiqing, Liu Yi, and Zeng Qin naturally formed two groups with conflicting opinions that couldn't communicate. Ziya could restrain Zhiqing, but the timid Zeng Qin couldn't stop Liu Yi at all. 0

"I say, can't you two communicate calmly? This is an extraordinary time; look at this environment—is it really a place for arguments? Okay?" Ziya glared at them angrily. 0

"Fine! Let's not argue over trivial matters; let's figure out how to face the current situation," Liu Yi muttered and sat down heavily on the edge of the corridor, his melancholic eyes anxiously scanning around. 0

"Don't sit here; we need to find a safe place to discuss things further," Zhiqing said, suppressing his anger as he pulled Ziya toward Liu Yi. 0

"I really don't have the strength; I'm too lazy to move. You can talk here!" Liu Yi leaned against the corridor wall, refusing to budge, while Zeng Qin sat down beside him. 0

Zhiqing looked at the two of them, gritted his teeth, and pulled Ziya away. Ziya couldn't bear to leave them behind; he broke free from Zhiqing's grip and looked around before saying to them both, "Let's go! It's not safe here; if something happens, there won't be anywhere to hide." 0

"Pfft, who asked for your opinion? Just go..." Liu Yi replied before closing his eyes again and continuing to lean back lazily, ignoring Ziya. 0

Ziya wanted to call Zeng Qin to leave together, but when he looked at her, she shook her head firmly, determined to stay with Liu Yi. 0

Ziya and Zhi Qing had no choice but to halt their plan to leave. He wanted to recount the horrific scenes he had witnessed earlier, but he feared that doing so would only further diminish their will to survive. 0

“Zhi Qing, if you have something on your mind, just tell us what’s going on here,” Ziya said, noticing Zhi Qing's hesitation. He pulled him back to Liu Yi and Zeng Qin's side. 0

“Maybe it’s better not to say anything. Right now, we should focus on finding an exit. Remember that room with the computer? When Xiao Ranhong had her accident, we didn’t get a good look before we all ran out. If that computer can connect to the outside world…” 0

“Hey! Why didn’t I think of that!” Zhi Qing’s words sparked a realization in Liu Yi, who suddenly jumped up, excitedly exclaiming. 0

“Yeah, let’s go to that room and find that computer,” Zhi Qing agreed with Liu Yi. Zeng Qin and Ziya exchanged smiles; seeing the two men finally getting along felt like a heavy weight had been lifted from their hearts. Both of them let out a quiet sigh of relief. 0

The four of them retraced their steps in search of the room with the computer. Using their memories to eliminate similar rooms one by one, they quickly arrived at the door of the room they were looking for. 0

The door was tightly shut. Zeng Qin remembered being the last one to run out earlier when the door was open; how could it be closed now? 0

“Shh…” Zhi Qing raised his index finger, signaling them not to rush in. They were all empty-handed. He looked around and pushed open a nearby door, revealing a dark room inside. 0

However, Liu Yi couldn’t wait any longer and wanted to rush in to check on the computer. Ziya grabbed him, preventing him from entering. She saw Zhi Qing turn on the light in the adjacent room, and all three of them directed their attention there. The room seemed eerily quiet, except for a trail of dark brown stains stretching across the floor into the inner chamber. 0
