Do you know why you shouldn't stay in the last room of a hotel? 0

Because you never know what unclean things might be inside. 0

This story happened to my friend, Xiaoli. One time, she and her colleague, Li Xue, went on a business trip. Due to a flight delay, they arrived at the hotel close to midnight. After leaving the airport, they quickly found a nearby inn. 0

Upon entering the inn, they asked if there were any available rooms. The young woman at the front desk informed them that there was one room left. Without hesitation, Xiaoli and her colleague booked it. 0

The staff member told them that the room was on the fifth floor at the very end of the hallway. Xiaoli and Li Xue took their room key and headed for the elevator. 0

They soon reached the fifth floor. The long corridor was dimly lit and had an eerie atmosphere; it seemed that the motion-sensor lights were broken and did not illuminate with their footsteps. 0

They walked to the end of the corridor and found room 527. Fortunately, the room was relatively clean and had a private bathroom. 0

Just as they were putting their luggage aside and organizing their belongings, there was a knock on the door. Xiaoli walked over to open it while asking who it was. 0

Standing outside was an older hotel staff member, looking somewhat awkward. 0

She asked Xiaoli if they could check out. Both Xiaoli and Li Xue were displeased; they couldn't understand why they would need to check out when they had already paid. The staff member couldn't explain the reason either; she just kept urging them to leave until it almost turned into an argument. 0

Seeing that they refused to check out, the staff member sighed and advised them to come down to find her if anything happened before leaving. 0

Xiaoli felt that the staff member had more to say but didn’t pursue it further. She glanced back at her just as the staff member looked at her too, her eyes seemingly holding some unspoken concern. 0

Not thinking much of it, Xiaoli returned to wash up and then lay down, telling herself it was just one night and they would head into the city tomorrow. 0

They didn’t discuss it any further and soon fell asleep. 0

In the middle of the night, Xiaoli woke up needing to use the bathroom. As she got out of bed, she felt something wet underfoot, which startled her so much that she quickly pulled her foot back. 0

She hurriedly turned on the bedside lamp but saw nothing unusual. Thinking she might have been dreaming, she put on her slippers and went to the bathroom. 0

After using the toilet, she turned off the light and lay back down in bed. However, before she could fall asleep again, she suddenly felt something reaching out from under the blanket as if a hand was touching her foot. 0

Terrified, she threw off the covers and turned on the bedside lamp again, only to see two bloody handprints on the bedsheet, emanating a foul stench. 0

Startled, Xiaoli quickly got out of bed and rushed to Li Xue's bedside, trying to wake her up. No matter how much she pushed or called, Li Xue showed no signs of waking. 0

Just then, a gust of wind blew through the room, lifting the curtains. It seemed as if someone was standing there. 0

Xiaoli focused her gaze and saw a man in a suit standing by the window, his neck appearing to have been slashed open, blood oozing from a large gash. 0

The man's smile was sinister as he stared intently at Xiaoli. The sight terrified her, and she turned to flee out of the room. 0

She ran into the hallway, banging on the doors of other guest rooms in search of help. However, no matter how hard she knocked, none of the rooms responded. 0

Unconsciously, Xiaoli glanced back at her own room and was horrified to see that the man had come outside, still fixated on her. She quickly ran toward the elevator, but it seemed to be broken; no matter how many times she pressed the button, it did not respond. 0

Anxiously pressing the elevator button while glancing back, she noticed that the man had not followed her and remained outside her door. 0

Then she spotted the fire escape nearby and decided to take the stairs down despite her fear. Panting heavily, she reached the lobby on the first floor where a staff member was standing at the front desk. Xiaoli shouted, "Help! There's a ghost!" 0

The staff member seemed to have anticipated this situation. Before Xiaoli could finish speaking, they grabbed a walkie-talkie and instructed security to check Room 527 on the fifth floor. 0

After calling for help, the staff member led Xiaoli toward the elevator. 0

Just as Xiaoli was about to warn them that the elevator was broken, it surprisingly opened. The staff member urged Xiaoli to get in quickly; Li Xue would be in danger if they were late. 0

Without thinking twice, Xiaoli hurried into the elevator. 0

When they arrived at Room 527, two security guards had just arrived as well. The staff member used a spare key card to unlock the door. As soon as they entered, Xiaoli was horrified to see Li Xue standing on a small stool trying to climb out of the window as if she intended to jump. 0

The two security guards wasted no time and rushed forward, grabbing Li Xue before she could react and pulling her down. 0

However, once on the ground, Li Xue did not calm down; she struggled fiercely while insisting that Xiaoli was waiting for her below. 0

As Xiaoli stood there unsure of what to do, the staff member stepped forward and slapped Li Xue hard across the face. That finally brought Li Xue back to her senses, leaving her looking bewildered. 0

With the situation under control, the two security guards left. 0

Xiaoli recounted everything that had happened to Li Xue. They both felt they had encountered something sinister and believed that the staff member must know something more about it; they decided to ask for an explanation. 0

The waitress knew that something was amiss and couldn't keep it a secret any longer, so she revealed the story. 0

Previously, a man had committed suicide in Room 527, and by the time he was discovered, there was already some decomposition. After an investigation by the police, it was determined that the incident had no connection to the hotel. 0

However, ever since that event, anyone who stayed in that room would see a man whose neck seemed ready to snap. 0

At first, the owner didn't take it seriously, thinking that hiring some monks to chant and perform rituals would solve the problem. But it didn't help at all. 0

Not long after, another woman committed suicide in the same room. 0

It was then that the owner realized the severity of the situation. 0

To avoid affecting the hotel's business, he paid a hefty sum to compensate the deceased's family and managed to suppress the matter. He instructed his staff not to disclose anything and forbade anyone from staying in Room 527. 0

Unfortunately, the young girl at the front desk today was new and unaware of this history, so she rented out the room. 0

Strangely enough, after Xiao Li ran out and knocked on other room doors, no one else could hear her. 0

The next morning, when Xiao Li asked other guests if they had heard anything, they all said they hadn't heard a thing. It was only after reviewing the surveillance footage that they realized Xiao Li had been knocking on the wall instead of a door. 0

Upon returning to work, both of them fell ill and spent a long time in the hospital. They failed to close any business deals and ended up getting scolded by their boss. Frustrated, Xiao Li quit her job. 0
