There were media speculations that I and Yu Shenglin had done it on purpose. The aim was to sabotage the business marriage between the Li family and the Du family. I approached the director, who approved my request without hesitation. After all, the online turmoil hadn't settled yet, and he suggested I go home for a few days. I didn't argue; it was a perfect opportunity to clarify things with Yu Shenglin.
As soon as I stepped out of the hospital, I spotted My Mom standing at the entrance, fuming.
"You finally decided to come out?" My Mom rushed over and slapped me across the face. "You even dared to block your parents; you've really grown bold."
"What do you want? You haven't been home or even visited Xiao Li in the hospital these past few days."
"Dong Xinran, let me tell you, you can only marry Li Dawei in this lifetime. No matter what happens, you have to marry him."

I pressed my lips together.
Li's Father was right.
My dad had cheated too.
That's why My Mom had become like this, so unreasonable.
The reason she insisted I marry Li Dawei was that she feared I wouldn't find a husband in the future.
