Chapter 134: Harmony and Peace

Lorna, standing beside him, noticed his expression and couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong?"
Bai Luo replied, "Well, my fiancée, I think it's time for us to go down and have a walk."
Lorna said, "Be mindful of our identity issue."
Bai Luo chuckled and said, "What I mean is, let's continue pretending to be a couple."
Lorna looked at him skeptically and asked, "Are you sure this will have any confusing effect?"
Bai Luo responded, "Of course, there's also Banner."
Banner, standing behind them, didn't expect Bai Luo to suddenly call out to him and was momentarily taken aback.
Bai Luo smiled and said, "If things start getting heated down there, you should quickly transform into Hulk and come down to support us."
This month had been the longest period of time that Bai Luo and Banner had spent together, and their relationship was relatively good.
However, Banner still felt a bit uneasy.
He nodded and said, "Don't worry. If anything happens, I'll be there as soon as possible."

Soon, a voice came from behind the door asking, "Who is it?"
The voice sounded somewhat lazy and timid; it must belong to the disheveled Reincarnator.
This guy really matched his appearance with his voice perfectly.
Bai Luo thought for a moment but remained silent.
After a brief pause, the Reincarnator inside asked again, "Who is it?"
Then there was silence once more.
After a moment, the Reincarnator pushed the door open.
Just as Bai Luo had guessed, it was indeed the scruffy Reincarnator who opened the door. He wasn't wearing glasses, and his vision seemed poor as a result. This person first scanned the room, his gaze lingering on Lorna, who stood beside Bai Luo, circling around her several times before slowly shifting his attention to Bai Luo. He likely realized that Bai Luo was not Caucasian and tentatively spoke a phrase in Japanese.
Unfortunately, although Bai Luo had watched quite a few Japanese anime in the past, he understood little of the language, much like how his English was lacking despite watching American blockbusters. He couldn't make sense of what the Reincarnator had said.
The Reincarnator quickly adjusted and asked in slightly awkward Japanese, “Chinese?”
Bai Luo smiled and replied, “Yes, Chinese.”
The Reincarnator glanced at Lorna again. His gaze was not very clear; when he looked at people, he leaned forward and squinted his eyes, making him appear even more disheveled. However, Bai Luo sensed that he might have recognized Lorna.
Although Polaris Sister wasn't as famous as characters like Tony or Steve from Marvel Comics, she was still quite well-known as a beautiful girl.
Especially with her iconic dark green hair and the display of her magnetic powers during the battle in Nishiden River District, it wasn't surprising that this person recognized Lorna.
But the Reincarnator's gaze quickly returned to Bai Luo. He smiled again, though it was a smile that reflected a kind of hopelessness that made one want to punch him: “So you are…”
Bai Luo stared at him for a moment, certain that this person had already recognized their identities as agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., yet he chose not to expose them.
Bai Luo chuckled softly and after a brief pause said in English, “Things are not going well for us. Our home was destroyed in an explosion. My wife and I are looking for a place to rest. We saw that it was dark here and thought we could find some shelter, but I apologize if we’ve intruded.”
As a Reincarnator, being familiar with various languages was expected; it was one of the simplest exchanges offered by the Main God. Therefore, Bai Luo didn't need to worry about whether this guy could understand him.
However, Lorna—Ms. Dane—shot Bai Luo a disapproving glance from the side, clearly unhappy about him casually referring to her as his "wife."
However, during their interactions, Lorna's impression of Bai Luo was quietly changing. After thinking for a moment, she ultimately decided not to say anything further.
The Reincarnator stared at Bai Luo for quite a while before finally revealing a slow smile.
This smile was completely different from the demeanor he had shown earlier, carrying an indescribable insight and playfulness. But it was fleeting; he slowly stepped back two paces and said, "Since you're here, why not take a break with me? There aren't many people around, and with the recent events in Water City, I haven't seen a normal person in quite some time."
Bai Luo smiled and didn't decline. "In that case, thank you."
The Reincarnator smiled again. "Sato Ryuseki."
Bai Luo replied, "Bai Luo."
The Reincarnator took half a step back to make way for Bai Luo and Lorna to enter.
Meanwhile, Lorna, following closely behind Bai Luo, looked at the two in front of her and couldn't help but think about how they had almost walked through the wrong door just moments ago. How would they manage to save face after being so unceremoniously ushered away?
