"Hey, what's going on? Suddenly no signal, my optical brain can't connect to the internet." 0

"I don't know, maybe a thunderstorm is coming." 0

"Boom!" 0

With the sound of thunder crashing down, the dark currents surged in the sea, and the surface began to rise and fall gradually. Waves lifted layers of sea foam, each one sliding beneath the seemingly small ship, causing the hull to sway slightly. 0

Seeing such terrible weather, the people outside the cabin looked very pale. Everyone held onto the nearby buildings tightly, afraid that they might fall into the deep sea if they weren't careful. 0

"Hey, you all better stand firm. It's best to go back indoors and tie yourselves up with a rope. The siren is about to come," a deep voice with a strong accent emerged from everyone's sight. 0

When everyone heard the sound and looked over, they saw Jaylene speaking. These people immediately began to carefully move towards the interior along the adjacent building. 0

They seem very obedient. 0

Yuanluo witnessed all of this, leaning on the railing at the side of the boat, with a hint of disdain in the corner of his eye. 0

"What siren? Isn't this just a sea thunderstorm?" 0

A man dressed in coarse linen, with a red and yellow patterned design painted on his face and dark skin, happened to be next to Yuanluo. Upon hearing Yuanluo's words, he quickly placed his right index finger in front of his mouth, signaling for silence. 0

"Mr. Yuan, our Nata Tribe has lived in this sea area for generations. Our survival to this day is entirely due to the protection of the Sea God Siren. This time, you invited me here to search for the legendary underwater ancient civilization ruins, so I hope you will respect our maritime customs." 0

Yuanluo grasped the railing with both hands, her feet resting on the lowest bar, then leaned back, closing her eyes before slowly opening them again to gaze directly at the dark clouds above. 0

"Is it a custom at sea to say that stormy weather is just the siren's patrol?" Yuanluo slightly tilted her head to look at Jaylene, her coat billowing behind her in the sea breeze. "Well, that makes sense; it helps avoid fear of thunder and lightning, and it's perfect for telling obedient children." After saying this, Yuanluo leaned back further, elongating her body, closed her eyes once more, and smiled, seemingly unafraid of the impending storm. 0

Seeing this 16 or 17-year-old kid being so disrespectful to their maritime customs, Jaylene was slightly annoyed. It was the first time he had seen such a rebellious child. Even if the siren didn't really exist, those people still listened to Mu En and went back to the cabin, didn't they? 0

Just as Jaylene was about to pull Yuanluo down from the railing to educate him, a pair of hands stopped him. 0

Jaylene looked at the person grabbing her arm, confused, and said, "Mu En, what are you doing? The thunderstorm is coming; we need to get him back to the cabin." 0

Mu En first glanced at Jaylene with a blank expression, then looked up and down at Yuanluo a few times. This boy was someone their employer insisted they bring along, but she had no idea what purpose he served. 0

"We're leaving." After taking a few glances, Mu En forcefully pulled Jaylene's arm, trying to take him away. 0

"But what about him?" Jaylene asked in confusion, wondering why Mu En was ignoring the boy. Wasn't protecting him part of the employer's request? 0

Without waiting for Jaylene to say more, he was pulled into the cabin by Mu En. 0

In the drag of Mu En, Jaylene also turned to look back at Yuanluo and saw Yuanluo wearing a light blue T-shirt and shorts, smiling particularly brightly in the midst of a dark and oppressive atmosphere. 0

The cold wind howled, dark clouds gradually pressed down, and large raindrops began to fall from the sky, then one drop, two drops, three drops... 0

In just a few seconds, a heavy rain poured down, soaking Yuanluo completely. 0

The slender body of the young man stood upright in the storm, and he roared, "Ah," but unfortunately, the thunder drowned out his shout. 0

As if entering the dark night, the surrounding seaview also became oppressive, with only Yuanluo's fair face faintly visible amidst the lightning in the sky. 0

The rain was heavy, so heavy that it gathered into a stream beneath Yuanluo's cheeks, flowed down his neck, trickled across his chest, and returned to the surface of the boat from his ankles, giving him a sensation as if he were drifting along a stream. 0

It was about time, perhaps having had his fill of fun, Yuanluo was ready to return to the cabin. 0

Just as he was about to turn and leave, a creature surfaced from the sea in front of him. 0

Its ears were like fish fins pressed against the sides of its head, its eyes a deep blue reminiscent of the ocean's depths, and a thick mane of curly hair could not conceal its towering figure. 0

Yuanluo was a bit dazed, rubbing his eyes in disbelief as he tried to wipe away the rain that obstructed his vision. 0

The rain was pouring heavily. To see if it was just his daze, Yuanluo pressed his hands against his forehead and strained to open his eyes wider to look at the sea. 0

The creatures in the sea saw Yuanluo's little movement, raised their eyebrows lightly, curved their mouths, and then made a deep dive backwards, revealing the huge silver-white fish tail and fins below their waist. 0

It's unbelievable, it's actually a real mermaid! 0
