When it comes to being a shameless person, the way they eat at the Jade Pavilion is indeed one of the most unrefined among all the major sects in the Cultivation World.
Hmph.
A cold snort echoed from Liao Ji. Although he appeared aged, his presence was still formidable, stirring up various prohibitions around the southern part of the city.
Ordinary fights could not trigger the Cosmic Array drawn by past Human Emperors, which encompassed the surrounding areas of Tiandong City. Even if Dong Lai were to collapse, it would not be enough to destroy a city as ancient as human history itself.
The protective formations around Bu Luo that safeguarded its citizens were much easier to activate. However, it required at least some level of Transcendence for Coco to touch those prohibitions. The Old Woman, Yan Dong, who had not even shown her face, merely snorted coldly and triggered the restrictions. It was clear that there was more than just the rumored Little Beauty known as Drowning Fish and Falling Wild Geese in that palanquin; there were likely elders who had come along for the Cangtian East Duel. Those old but unyielding figures were perhaps the most troublesome; once provoked, one could run to the ends of the earth and still be haunted by their grudges.
Ying Zhan stood beside Bu Luo, and the might of that cold snort was inexplicably dissipated.
However, the Jade Pavilion, which had suffered humiliation, had no intention of seeking peace. Without even a moment's hesitation, four women flew out from the front carriage, each wielding a flying sword. They formed a formation above Ying Zhan's head, aiming to capture both Ying Zhan and Jiang Anbo in one fell swoop. Even Xu Qiaoshan, who was not far from them, was inexplicably pulled into the formation.
Xu You and Bu Luo, both from Thunderstorm Pavilion of Six Sects, Five Teachings, Four Directions Pavilion, could hardly tolerate watching those shameless individuals act with such impunity in front of them.
Seeing four Nascent Soul Stage cultivators forming a formation against them, Jiang Anbo did not forget to sow discord between Yi Dong of Thunderstorm Pavilion and Jade Pavilion.
The Six Sects, Five Teachings, Four Directions Pavilion was not merely a hodgepodge in the Cultivation World; it had been pieced together through various means.
Among them, Sunfire Sect had already sunk to the riverbed along with the collapse of that towering mountain of light. Meanwhile, Qiongxiaozong remained silent; no one knew what was happening outside their sect or saw any disciples emerging from their mountain. If Kunlun Radiance occasionally showcased celestial beings flying about, it was likely that cultivators in the Cultivation World thought Qiongxiaozong had been thoroughly dealt with.
Among the five teachings, aside from Moon River Sect, Huanglian Sect was somewhat prosperous. However, without a Mahayana Practitioner overseeing them, Bu Luo could only be considered a first-rate sect at best. They had gained little during the siege against Light and were subtly showing signs of decline; Bu Luo was merely hanging on by a thread.
As for the Four Directions Pavilion, it was not the Thunderstorm Pavilion, the Jade Pavilion, or the Treasure Pavilion; it was just another one dragged in to make up the numbers, the Heavenly Mechanism Pavilion.
No one had ever entered the Heavenly Mechanism Pavilion, and no one knew what it looked like. Yet, it was said in the Cultivation World that before every great calamity, the Heavenly Mechanism Pavilion would inevitably appear, causing chaos among people. Whether this was true or false, who could say? It sounded nice, so it was included in the mix.
Bu Luo's Treasure Pavilion, as a top-tier Sect backed by the Infinite tree, naturally looked down on competing for prestige with two Dust Realm Sects. It was likely that those two Sects knew they couldn't compare to the Treasure Pavilion and were secretly vying against each other.
One had secretly latched onto the thick leg of Infinite through the Treasure Pavilion, while the other was covertly exchanging glances with Bright. If Jiang Anbo had once been a Bright Disciple, he truly did not know about those secrets that others could not touch.
When Yan Dong brought things to light, it was like a slap in the face, causing Jiang Anbo, who had been hiding for over a decade, to vent his frustration.
Seeking death.
The leader stepped forward to take charge while the other three flew in on their swords to attack. Ying Zhan slightly curled his lips but remained silent as he engaged one of them in battle. Xu Qiaoshan faced off against another alone while Jiang Anbo took advantage of the chaos from the sidelines.
He thought to himself that Ying Zhan was quite untrustworthy; knowing that Old Xu wasn't an honest man, he hoped they could share some of the spoils and asked him not to leave Jiang Anbo out of their new distribution.
Just as he finished speaking, a glaring sword energy rushed toward him. The red-clad Sister at the forefront wasn't idle either; she occasionally found time to strike at Jiang Anbo, leaving him restless.
Hearing Jiang Anbo standing aside with his mouth shut and no complaints, Xu Qiaoshan immediately let one of the red-clad Sisters slip past him to trouble Jiang Anbo instead, catching him off guard and causing his legs to falter.
The three of them had no sense of camaraderie or understanding; Yan Dong and Ying Zhan remained calm and composed due to their profound realms, while Xu Qiaoshan maintained his composure through sheer strength. Meanwhile, Jiang Anbo found himself cornered with no way out.
"Hey," he thought, "are we really going to stand by without any sense of justice while that little brat over there stabs me?"
Xu Qiaoshan suddenly felt that Jiang Ping's sharp tongue must have been learned from him, haha.
He laughed heartily but did not help Jiang Anbo out of the predicament. After all, he couldn't deny that Jiang Anbo had to rely on himself to escape Yan Dong's trap.
